Description of Work: The service was to be a garage door tune-up - realigning and new rollers. Apparently the very old doors I had aren't maintained that way. So, instead they lubricated everything and advised me on price ranges for new doors and door openers.

Description of Work: They checked garage door and found the springs that were installed were 2 different sizes. I was having trouble with closing the door when in my car ready to leave my home. Had to go into garage and manually press the button and it would close, then I would have to go out the front door and lock the door and then go to my car. Have not had a problem since the repair was done.

Description of Work: The technician was here for five minutes and made one tweak with a screwdriver and sprayed a little grease on the garage door track. For the next fifteen minutes, what he did was try to promote more expensive services and a garage door replacement. I thought the price was too high for what he did and I didn't like the sales pitch.

Description of Work: The technician arrived promptly, he looked at our one-piece garage door and said he can only work on the sectional garage doors. There were no repairs or adjustments he could make on our door. He suggested I ask for a refund.

Description of Work: The guy was prompt, professional and courteous. Paid extra to purchase a new opener, which was installed on the spot.

Description of Work: Sam checked the door and suggested the rollers be replaced. He did, and the door that had been sticking (reason for my buying the service in Angie's List) as of late worked just fine after his repairs and adjustments. He did a good job, I thanked him, we shared a cup of coffee, shook hands and he left. |There were other suggestions, such as the whole door should be replaced, and that the motor was a "bad quality", but I felt I knew better. My plumbers and I helped guide Sam's maneuvering of his truck so he could go back down the driveway.

Description of Work: I scheduled a visit for a Monday when I would be home. The service tech showed up the Friday before, disrupting a tenant who runs a childcare service, and was poor in his communication. He performed the service when I was not at home, although I had wanted to observe him and ask some questions about problems I was having with the garage doors. I emailed and called and left a message. I did not get a response to my emails. The owner or manager called me back over the weekend and did offer to send another technician out, but I was not impressed with her attitude on the phone and I didn't want to engage with them further. I still don't really know what the technician did, and I'm going to have to solve my problems with my garage door openers myself.

Description of Work: The Angie's List deal was for 10 roller replacement. The technician also recommended changing the springs above the garage door and the cables near the rollers. The door moves much easier and is about 30% quieter

Description of Work: I purchased a deal from Angie's List to have my garage door inspected and to have the wheels changed. They were on time, did a great job and I was very happy with their work. Would definitely recommend them!

Description of Work: Tech seemed surprised that I was not having problems with my door. I explained that although my door and opener were only seven years old I wanted to take advantage of tune up to do preventive maintenance if needed.The only recommendation for the future was to add a additional return spring in case one breaks.

Description of Work: This deal was for a garage door tune-up with roller replacement. While the rollers were replaced, several of the items listed in the deal did not happen, as detailed below. The door itself has had one spring replaced in the last 25 years (Aug 2011), but no other maintenance.
