Vicky's Cleaning

I bought this housecleaning service several months. I set up an appointment for 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 28. This appointment was confirmed by email through Angie's List. At 8:40 a.m. I sent an email asking if she was still coming. I had no response 30 minutes later, so I called her, and I had to leave a message. She finally called me around 5:00 p.m., but she left no voice message. I was driving and couldn't answer the phone. I called her back around 5:30 p.m., but she didn't answer. I left another voice message. I called her again around 8:00 p.m. and left a message since she didn't answer. She called me a few minutes later. She began giving excuses for not showing up. One was about having surgery. She said she was calling all of her appointments to reschedule for the week of May 2, and she claimed she called me but I didn't answer. I told her that she didn't call me before she didn't show up. I explained my reason for scheduling the cleaning for the 28; I have company arriving for the weekend. I wanted my house to look its best. She seemed not to understand this, and she kept repeating about cleaning next week. All throughout our conversation she kept repeating her reasons for not arriving--over, and over, and over. She did agree to give me a full refund, but I had to ask for it. I really don't understand how a business can operate this way and leave people looking for other solutions at the last minute. Beware using Vicky's Housecleaning. I will never schedule her again.
