+ -1 moreGreat job. I used Robert before (see my other review) and was very happy with his work, which was done promptly, professionally, and at a lower bid than the other bid I had solicited. For this job, I didn't solicit a competing bid since the price didn't sound unreasonable. In the end I think both he and I overestimated the difficulty of the job, so I think he came out ahead on this one, but that is my fault for not doing my due diligence. I will definitely use Robert again when the need arises. Robert is punctual, does great quality work, is professional, and in general is a pleasure to deal with.
Description of Work: install whole-house fan in attic (hangs from roof joist) intake vent in ceiling, and on/off switch in hallway.

+ -1 moreAwesome! I was very pleased with every aspect of the job. It was started promptly, finished within a day (a long day; I think he started at 8 and went non-step to about 6), the quality of the work was terrific, and Robert was extremely pleasant and professional. I had solicited one other quote and Robert was a few hundred dollars less. I have since used him for another job (see my other review) and will use him again when the need arises.
Description of Work: Re-route electrical lines from wall switches that controlled electrical outlets (eg for turning on a lamp when you enter a room) so that they now control ceiling-mounted lights. This was done in 3 rooms. 2 of the rooms have an attic above them, which simplified the job. The other room has an open-beam ceiling. This required breaking wall and then running wiremold behind the center beam where it can't be seen. Robert and I agreed beforehand that he would patch the wall and I would prime and paint the repaired area so that he wouldn't have to make multiple return trips and this kept the price lower than it would have been. I also installed the lights myself. Robert left capped wires ready to attach the lights to, and told me which circuit breakers controlled them so I wouldn't fry myself.
