Owner Glen usually can come out within 30 min of your call which is awesome when you are having a real plumbing emergency. Have used him for 18+ years. Very professional, reasonable (esp for Coronado), and does great work.

We had a leak in our water heater. While starting out small, it turned into a deluge pretty quickly. We called Village Plumbing on a Monday morning and they came out that afternoon. They arrived near the end of the four hour window, but it was within the promised time frame. The eleven year old water heater needed to be replaced and was out of warranty. Checking the water pressure, Marco found that it registered at 105 PSI, much higher than the recommended maximum of 80 PSI. This was likely a contributing factor to the leak, along with the age of the unit. After discussing possibilities we opted to go with a longer warranty unit, and were told to expect an estimate in the morning via email. They removed the defective hot water heater and installed a bypass so we would at least have water throughout the house overnight. We got our estimate the next morning. Meantime, I had checked with other plumbers to get estimates on similar equipment. When we got our estimate, it was fair based on our comparisons, so we authorized the work. They arrived just a few hours later and installed everything with minimal disruptions to our day.

Coronado has a huge tree root plumbing problems and if not regularly taken care of, it leads to back ups. Called Glen from Village Plumbing as soon as notice back up. He came down within the hour and cleared my system. Efficient, reasonable and clean.

Saw one of this company's vans in a Ralphs Grocery parking lot on my way in as I had a clogged drain and went to get Draino. My hot water heater was also bad as it had been gurgling for weeks. Found their technician in the store as his company apparently handles the work for Ralphs. Really nice guy - was also a plumbing contractor. He took a minute to explain what my problems likely could be (all the while he kept working on the Ralphs job which gave me a good feeling that they don't waste other peoples time or money). I took his company's card and called them later that day. The dispatcher set up an appointment for the next day (the Draino didn't work). The same guy came nearly on time and had "snaked" the blocked drain in less than a half hour. He was clean, he kept his workspace clean and was generally blowing away my prior experiences with plumbers (he smiled, worked hard, fast, didn't waste time making endless trips back and forth to his truck, etc.). Net, Drain Fixed and Fixed Fast! He told me that I had mineral deposits and that was the annoying sound in my H2O heater but that shouldn't stop it from working. He showed me where I had a leak in the heater or tank (I didn't even realize it). I decided to replace it - he gave me a price and he called in to schedule an appointment to come back the next day. Sure enough, he was back - banged it out and charged me exactly what he estimated. All in all - I wish every service provider was a straight shooter like this, not trying to sell me stuff I may not need. Just fix the problem, not create a bigger one and be trustwrothy. These guys are solid.
