Underwood Painting

From the initial meeting for an estimate, Craig Underwood was very prompt and professional with every aspect of the job. He took careful measurements, pointed out several aspects such as repairing cracks that I did not even notice (nor did other painters when they gave me prior bids for the job) and how the current paint could bleed through the white trim, so he would use primer and several coats of exterior paint to ensure that the white would really pop. Craig was very fair in his pricing and timeline of doing the job. When Craig and his crew started, they were on time every day and they were extremely polite. When I would show up to my house after they were getting done for the day, Craig went over what they did and what they were planning to do the next day. It was clear to me that Craig and the rest of his crew took immense pride in their work and wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the job that they were doing. When my wife and I had trouble matching the paint to another house on our block, Craig was able to easily color match it and he provided us with 3 different types to make sure that we were getting the exact color we desired. They worked quickly, paying attention to the smallest details and they were the cleanest painters I have ever seen. They even finished earlier than what Craig had predicted. It is safe to say that Underwood Painting exceeded my expectations as well as my wife's. The quality and care that Craig and his crew put into a job are remarkable. As a young homeowner, many other contractors tried to price gouge me or talk me into doing an excessively expensive paint job (ceramic coatings) which are not as economical as they proclaim to be. Other contractors also wanted me to make a quick decision on the bid and talk down to me as if I have no clue what they are talking about. Craig offered me a no pressure estimate which he gave me in a timely fashion and he did an outstanding job while treating me with the utmost respect. I highly recommend Underwood Painting for any painting job you might have.

We had the whole interior of the home painted with the exception of the bathrooms and kitchen walls. They had been done a few years ago and didn't need redoing. So, living room, dining room, kitchen ceiling and three bedrooms were done plus a hallway. Craig and his crew did an excellent job. They moved furniture away from walls and covered it with plastic to protect everything. Also, the job was done in two phases due to a big birthday party being held at the home and we couldn't get all the rooms ready in time to do it all at once. This didn't matter as the contractor had another job to fill in the time with. He restarted our job two weeks after the party when we were ready. The first coat on the first phase was done in a flat paint and we didn't like it so he redid it with eggshell paint for a little more money but it was well worth it. He even replaced two baseboards that were damaged. The work was done on time and in a very professional manner. We would definitely use this company again and recommend them highly.
