+ -1 moreEveryone at TruLine from Ernie the estimator to Patty the colorist (thanks Patty!) to Francisco and his crew were excellent! Even the owner Sergio stopped by personally to ensure we were satisfied with the work being done and made some great suggestions we are delighted we followed. Considering how much of our house was being painted, we were still able to function at night because they did a great job cleaning up and made it easy for us to get around. We were extremely satisfied with their level of customer service and desire to get it right... and would recommend them to any of our friends... In fact we already have!!
Description of Work: Painted almost 80% of our home, walls and baseboards with large vaulted ceilings in the hall and living room.

Sergio came out to the house just before the work started to go over the plan for painting. The painters were excellent. They showed up at 8:00 promptly and started the work. They even touched up a few areas of the ceiling with some paint I had stored in the garage. At the end of the job, Sergio came out and marked a few areas to be touched up to complete the detailed painting. A great company to hire for your next paint job. Thank you to all the people at Truline Painting.

+ -1 moreEstimator/Ernie was late for our scheduled apt. however it was no big deal because his office called and ahead of time and I had time so rather than reschedule I just moved back the apt.. When he showed up, he introduced himself and I went over the job with him and asked for an "itemized bid because I need to prioritize the work in the following order: celings, walls, baseboards and mantle, doors and jams inside closet. Ernie said he understood and it was no problem, he took notes on his tablet/I-pad and I asked about specific details of work such as removing plate covers from the ceiling fans rather than painting around them he said it was part of their standard practice but would note it on the bid. He took no measurements but told me about having his first Jamba Juice and was experiencing heart palpatations, which I found very odd. When I received the bid a few days later via E-mail, I got a one page bid @ $4,585.00 and it did not include the complete scope of work we discussed and was NOT itemized. Their price was more than twice what other top rated companies bid. I was very disappointed and told them I would not be needing their services.
Description of Work: provide an estimate for interior painting of livingroom/diningroom area, hallway and entry way, including ceilings and wood work.

+ 1 moreSergio arrived on time and introduced the men who would be doing the painting. Every day, the men arrived on time and worked diligently throughout the day, cleaning up before they left. Sergio came by almost every day to make sure everything was going according to plan and if we had any concerns. Everyone was polite, clean, and professional. Originally, we had not asked for the exterior slider to be painted and that was done at no extra cost. We could not be more pleased with the entire job from beginning to end. We would recommend TruLine without hesitation!
Description of Work: Sergio, the owner, provided us with a detailed contract of the work TruLine would perform.This included preparing the exterior for painting, painting steps in a large screened porch area, repairing two exterior steps and painting them, painting metal hand rails and painting the large and smaller screened porches, and painting the exterior of a slider. He gave us color options to consider. After we signed the contract, we set a date when the exterior painting would begin.

+ -1 moreThe owner, Ernie, who came to give us the quote was personable and clear. The entire staff was professional and accommodating as we puzzled over our color selection. The guys who came out and did the work were professional, polite, and clean (meaning they neatly put away all their tools and supplies at the end of every day). As issues or questions came up that had not been initially discussed during the quote process, the painters and Ernie were always approachable and open to what we wanted (as you expect when you're the customer). It is never "fun" to have people around working on your house. That said, Ernie and the rest of the Truline team made it as positive an experience as it could be. Highly recommend.

The workers were on time every day and were ready to address any of my questions. They were very responsible including the days I was out of town. Their work was detailed and Sergio checked on the quality of work. Sergio and Stephanie were available to me via meal, phone or texts; I got immediate responses . They are bonded and insured which it was very important to me since the walls in my place are high all around and did not want to deal with injuries/accidents. I will definitively use their service again.

+ -1 moreEverything went extremely well. I emailed Stephanie for a quote and she responded back right away and set up a time to do a walk through with her painter. Sergio did a walk through of our new tri-level 3 bed room 4 bath home and noticed the trouble areas. He got back to us the next day and quoted $2375 with a 1 and 1/2 day turn around. This included all the materials needed to do the job, and prepping all areas in the home. We met again to color coordinate the paint colors. At first I was skeptical with his suggestion, but I stepped back and let him and his crew do his job. We meet up one last time and he tested the selected colors for us on the wall. The only thing me and the hubby did was smile and kept our mouth shut. The end results is just beautiful! He is also very flexible and will work weekends to get the job done! I would most definitely use this company again.

+ -1 moreI could not be more pleased with the quality of work by TruLine. Sergio came out for the estimate, which ended up being the most competitive bid we received by far. I was concerned that he had underestimated the size of our project, given how low his price was. In fact, he may have underestimated it a bit, because the painters stayed for a couple extra days to do an additional coat of paint on some areas where they were not satisfied with the quality of the look. There was no additional fee for this work, and we did not request it -- they just wanted to make sure the final result was perfect. Francisco and Sal did the painting, and it was fun to have them around. They showed up early each day, appeared to really enjoy their job, and clearly took pride in their work. Both were meticulous about finishing details and trim. They cleaned up at the end of the job, and the final result is just outstanding. For quality and value, I can't imagine there is a better contractor in San Diego. Thanks so much to everyone at TruLine.

If there was something we didn't like they fixed it no questions asked. It went exactly as they said it would. I would highly recommend TruLine Painting.

Sergio the estimator helped me choose the appropriate color for the walls and accents for the fireplace and baseboard trims. The workman were on time and got the job done quickly. There were a couple of spots I noticed after the walk thru that were not done correctly and Sergio had someone out the next day to make sure all was corrected and that we were satisfied. I was under a time crunch to get this home on the market and everyone who saw the home liked the new paint colors. I would definitely recommend them to others who need to have painting done.

+ -1 moreAs an update, Sergio and his entire crew had the strongest work ethic and most positive can do attitude of all the people I have worked with within the past month. We recently purchased a new home and wanted to do a few improvements. They will be a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: Painted the interior of 5,000 sq ft home. Including garage and casita. Painted ceilings in 3 rooms, painted trim and wainscoting. Removed an entire room of closet shelves. Patched areas. Mudded one bedroom to prepare the walls prior to painting. Removed wainscoting from one room. Removed wall paper from 2 bathrooms and wine room. He offered to return to the house to paint baseboards and floor shoe after new flooring was placed Sergio was very honest and accommodated all of our requests. Francisco, his foreman and all of his crew were polite, professional, and courteous. We were every pleased with the outcome of the entire project and with the process. Sergio was always available for questions. He was very good at choosing the color for the interior. They spent several days prepping the house which made us happy. There was a strong attention to detail.

+ 0 moreTony and Chad were awesome. I was a little indecisive to be honest because of a restoration project that popped up unexpectedly and they were very professional and patient with me. I've been a professional decorative artist for over 20 years (murals, faux finishes, custom work, etc.) and I know a great painter when I see it. Everything looks amazing and I'm super satisfied with the work. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the fact that he sprayed two coats of oil too close together and over 12 hours later the oil paint was still wet to the touch. This made things a little challenging in the kitchen since my family uses it often. But most people don't use oil anymore anyway, so that's not a big deal. Don't hesitate to sign up with this company.
Description of Work: Painted my hallway and ceilings and family room, cabinets in a bathroom (sprayed oil based) and sprayed the island in my kitchen for a quick update.

+ -1 moreI called TruLine on Tuesday, Sergio inspected and quoted the job by Thursday and our almost 3,000 square foot house was painted by Sunday. (This was Memorial Day weekend as well). So to say they were responsive was an understatement, they really made it happen! The job itself was very well done especially in the rooms with color, nice clean lines. At completion, we had a final walk through and Sergio had the team touching up areas my untrained eyes did not even notice, much appreciated! Overall I would highly recommend the team at TrulLine paint!

+ 0 moreSergio, owner of Company, came by prior to painting date to go over all sections I was hoping to cover in the 8 hour Big Deal I had purchased. On painting day, Both Sergio and Louis (the painter) arrived early and all went wonderfully. Louis did a great job including fixing some settling cracks in the ceiling and I was amazed that I could not find them after it was finished. I used two colors in the bathroom and Louis also did a great job cutting in at the ceiling. I felt I got a great deal and so much was accomplished in a short time. I am very very pleased. The job went well and I felt the company had good communication, very friendly, professional and yes I would recommend them. I already have in fact. I can't comment on expense, as this job was a discounted Big Deal. But I hope in the future, I can again give Sergio a call for another project in the future. AAAAA+

Nothing was left unturned. They took care of all the small things that someone else might have thought not necessary, the small things all made the difference. Description of Work: Sergieo of Truline came out to my house to discuss color options and what best suit my home. Once we picked the colors pictures were made to see what the house would look like. That was very helpful. Once we picked three options the painters of Truline painted three sections of my house to see first hand how the colors matched. This is so very helpful. My wife and I had a very clear idea what we wanted are house to look like. Once the colors were selected the painters came out to prep the house. They cleaned the house with high pressure wash and then filled in cracks and sealed area's so the house had a professional look. All very impressive. The time they used to prepare my house for the painting was far more then what I would have expected. Every small attention to detail was covered. Once the painting started the house gained years back. By the third day the major portion of the painting was completed, that was the sealer, the first coat and the second coat. The house looked brand new. Then the next process was the trim and the small things like painting the roof vents to match the roof color, the boader around the garage door. Many items that just made the house pop. When they were done, I was a very proud home owner with a home built in 1968, that looked it was built this year.

These folks are professional and knowledgeable. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner. This being the first time we hired a licensed pro to paint for us, we were truly amazed at the speed and accuracy of Francisco who worked hard and was very focused as he got everything finished in one day. I was thinking, "This guy is like Superman!" ... I think I'll make him a nice cape out of a drop cloth (LOL)

The work was accomplished by two superb employees who were prompt, pleasant to have in our home, and professional in every way. They scraped, sanded, primed and painted all of our many french windows and doors, and the result is beautiful! We're very pleased and gladly give them an excellent reference.
