Description of Work: Brought a humane animal trap to my patio & showed me how to use it. If the animal had been trapped, he would have brought the trap to the Humane Society. Dan had good advice & so far has solved the animal problem.

+ -1 moreWe contracted for two traps to be placed for five days. Each morning were to check the traps and if anything was caught we were to call Trapper Dan. He would promptly respond and remove the animal. Dan actually left three traps, no extra charge, for seven days, also no extra charge. We trapped two rats. On each occasion Dan responded to our call quickly and removed the animals. The eating of our nuts has stopped so he must have caught the culprits.17
Description of Work: He trapped and removed a couple of rats that were getting into our macadamia nut tree and eating the nuts. They were not just a nuisance they were voracious eaters destroying a lot of our nuts.

+ -1 moreThe removal went as hoped. The following day, the raccoon family was observed leaving the house via the roof. Because I had had previous experience with a wildlife removal service trapping raccoons to evict them, I chose to attempt the use of the odor deterrent method. Trapping the animals can be extremely stressful for the animals and for yourself if you really care about animals. When in a trap these animals become amazingly aggressive, which is heartbreaking to watch not mention dangerous, especially if there are young raccoons present. After the raccoons moved on, Dan had his assistant repair the hole that the animals had made to enter the attic. Hopefully, the baby raccoons will not remember where they were born and attempt to return in the future.
Description of Work: Dan was challenged to remove a mother raccoon and her recently born babies from my attic. He recommended attempting to persuade the raccoons to move out on their own using a number of odors as opposed to trapping the animals. He launched containers of smelly animal byproducts into the attic which were perceived as threatening by the raccoons. Within a day or so, the raccoon mom packed up the babies and moved to a safer location.

He surveyed the yard and around the house, clearly explained my options for removal, and came back to place his "potions" at the appropriate entryways, along with giving me clear instructions on how to tell if they were still coming in. He kept in frequent contact with me to check on our progress. When he decided they were gone. he improvised barriers to the crawl space under my house so they would not "visit" again. He was professional, concerned, and followed up with two phone calls after the project was complete and he was paid.
Description of Work: Dan got rid of raccoons who were tearing up my garden and making a lot of noise under my house during the night. He used organic products to frighten them away, thus did not have to trap them, which is more expensive and time-consuming. Also, he built and improvised barriers for the areas through which they were getting under my house.

Description of Work: Dan came out to my home the day afterI called him. He had been recommended to me by Corky's Pest Control, as I thought I had raccoons under my mobilehome and Corky's, who do a lot of work in my mobilehome park, doesn't deal with racoons. Dan set up 2 traps and gave me a lot of information. Strangely enough, we caught a rat. He left the traps up for several days and kept in touch with me daily. I was impressed with Dan's way of doing business. He was here 3 times during the several days the traps were up and the charge was fair.
