Description of Work: They are very pleasant to work with. I have hired interior designers for 10 times what they charge and these gals are far superior. Oh and did I mention a pleasure to be with. I could go on and on on how satisfied I am with them, so the only thing I can tell you is I just rehired them to do another room in my house.

 + -1 moreThese ladies are prompt, professional, time efficient and have some great creative ideas. We love the colors Shannon suggested, the painter she recommended was great, and we have gotten many compliments on the update. I would never have picked the color scheme from the little chits, but it looks fantastic on the walls. I'm happy every time I come home. On the second visit Shannon and Alison worked very creatively together to provide a lot of ideas in a short time, and provided written notes so we could refer back and not forget any suggestions. My wife very much enjoyed working with them and I didn't even mind having to move furniture because the use of space was clearly better. I think they are an excellent value because by avoiding buying the wrong things we saved money and time. I wish we had used them sooner. We have recommended them to neighbors who have also been very pleased with their results.
Description of Work: We've used them twice, Shannon provided color consultation for painting the entire interior of our home, recommended a painter, and provided interior design ideas for arranging furnishings, wall decorations, and furniture in the common areas and office for best effect. Shannon and Alison returned post painting for some additional decoration ideas. Both times some furniture moves were suggested, a few small pieces were recommended for purchase (with retailer suggestions) and some of our existing items were rearranged.

 + -1 moreI called Style on a Shoestring to inquire about having the house professionally staged to sell. Tracy called back promptly and sent Vanessa and Mary to give an estimate. They asked a lot of good questions and were very professional & friendly. The price quoted was more than fair, but we had some extra, unforeseen expenses so we couldn't do staging, but they offered a painting consultation. Vanessa came back out to the house for that and we spend a couple of hours picking paint samples and she gave me great ideas for styling, and what to replace. Very nice, very professional. A very good value. Vanessa called in my paint samples to a local store and I was able to pick them up the next day. I can't recommend this company enough! Very satisfied with Tracy and her crew.

 + -1 moreThese ladies are not only very professional, but VERY talented in what they do! They were very accessible via phone or email and gave updated budgets throughout the process to keep us posted on the actual cost of the project. When we saw our home after they decorated, we were thrilled. On a scale of 1-10, we gave them a ''20''! Best part of all - they even came in below budget!!! Style on a Shoestring by far exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this company to anybody and will definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: We had just moved into a new home from a condo, so we needed to furnish and decorate our living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, and master bedroom. Kim, Tracy, and Mary helped us with picking out our furniture, lighting and window treatments. They then went shopping for accessories, art work, etc. based on the kind of theme we wanted in each room. On ''installation day'', we left the house for the day so they could design our home and when we came back, we were so amazed at the wonderful job they did!

 + -1 moreWe had an incredibly positive experience with Style on a Shoestring. They transformed our home and made the process as pain-free as possible. They were very sensitive to being cost effective and submitted a detailed budget which was adjusted as we worked through the process. They solicited my feedback, but were also completely comfortable ''taking the ball'' on the details with the results well worth it. I would recommend them to all budgets and lifestyles as they are adaptable, energetic and a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: Style on a Shoestring provided decorating services for our entire home. The work was more extensive in some rooms than others. They assisted in furniture selection, window treatments, paint selection, decor, carpeting and floorplan. The extent of my involvement was completely at my discretion - some items I had strong opinions on and others I left completely to Tracy and Kimberly. Their services included installation of everything on what I would characterize as a ''home makeover'' day when we vacated the house and let them work their magic.

THEIR PRICES ARE UNMATCHED IN THIS BUSINESS. I WILL AND HAVE REFERRED THEM TO FRIENDS AND ACQUAINTANCES. THEY ARE ACTUALLY WORKING ON ONE OF OUR REFERRALS RIGHT NOW AND I WOULD REFER THEM TO ANYONE WITHOUT A QUESTION. THEY WORK VERY WELL WITH THEIR CONTRACTORS, WHICH IS A MUST. I ALWAYS FELT INFORMED. I DIDN'T WORRY ONCE WITH THE PROJECT IN THEIR CAPABLE HANDS. THEY ARE ABLE TO TAKE A HUSBAND AND WIFE'S OPINIONS AND SPIN IT INTO EXACTLY WHAT THEY BOTH WANTED! PRETTY AMAZING. THAT'S TALENT. Description of Work: STYLE ON A SHOESTRING SHOPPED AND DECORATED OUR 1455 SQUARE FOOT HOME. THEY DID 3 BEDROOMS, 2 BATHROOMS, KITCHEN, LIVING ROOM, FAMILY ROOM AND ENTRY. PRETTY AMAZING. WE LET THEM KNOW OUR WANTS AND INTERESTS AND THEY WORKED IT ALL IN. THE INITIAL CONSULTATION WAS A GATHERING OF INFORMATION AND PASSING ON THE BUDGET LIMIT. THEN THEY TOLD US TO SHOP FOR THINGS NEEDED TO GO TO THE NEXT STEP LIKE BEDDING, FURNITURE, LIGHT FIXTURES, ETC. THEN THE NEXT MEETING WAS TO PICK PAINT COLORS ACCORDING TO WHAT WE BOUGHT. FROM THERE THEY JUST TOOK OVER AND SCHEDULED THE PAINTERS, HANDYMAN WORK, PLUMBING - WHATEVER NEEDED TO BE DONE BEFORE INSTALLATION. THEY SHOPPED FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS, SCHEDULED AN INSTALLATION DATE AND THEN, VIOLA! IT WAS LIKE WHILE YOU WERE OUT. THEY DID IT FROM MORNING UNTIL NIGHT AND WE CAME TO SEE THE FINISHED PRODUCT. WE WERE MESMERIZED. TO BE ABLE TO DO ALL THAT THEY DID ON SUCH A LIMITED BUDGET IS WHY THEY ARE CALLED STYLE ON A SHOESTRING. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
