Toyer, Curt

Curt Toyer was our real estate agent, who found our home, negotiated (well) the price, and assisted in the entire transaction. It took a few months to find our home but it wasn't the first home that we had a contract on. Curt showed us many homes and was patient, informative, and easy to work with. The first home that we wanted and had a contract conditioned on a home inspection was stymied by the home inspection. There was about $10k worth of repairs that needed to be done, including a new roof. This is where Curt showed the value of having a realtor who is on your side. During the secondary negotations to have the seller pay for these repairs, the seller had a roofer inspect the roof to combat our home inspector's report. The seller's roofer provided a report that the roof had 7 years life remaining, whereas the home inspector and our amateur opinion felt that the roof needed to be replaced immediately. Within thirty minutes of this report being provided, Curt discovered the roofer as having multiple disciplinary issues and being exposed by a local news channel's "shame on you" segment. Curt quickly got us out of that contract. The second home we wanted was a short sale and there was nothing wrong with this home at all. However, during the waiting process Curt provided us additional options and we found our home. Curt negotiated our home price and the minor repairs that we wanted. Everything went smoothly and we have lived very happily in our new home. I can admit that we knew very little about buying a home and Curt walked us through the process and did a great job making it easy. Of course, I would recommend Curt, which I have.
