Terminix - San Diego -Termite & Pest Control

I called Terminix for a check up on my termites and they got to my house fairly quick. From there hes checking up on everything and he sees a termite and gets it. he said if he didnt come that the termite could have spread throughout the whole house. im really glad he came. thanks terminix

Terminix is wonderful. They're reasonably priced. They call before they come out. We have termite coverage under them. They come out once a year and inspect for termite. They are pleasant. They are very patient if I have trouble explaining what's going on over the phone. They're just super. The guy that comes out to spray is a very nice guy. He does his job and tells us that he's finished and he leaves.

The first time they showed up they looked at the tile room and said they couldn't provide the warranty for broken tiles that they sold me. This was after the salesman came out and quoted me for it. After that they subcontracted the job which delayed closing on the house by a week. After the job was done I had 32 broken roof tiles and it took me ~3 months to get them to come out and fix it. All I can say is I'm lucky I live in San Diego where we don't get much rain.

Jackson was the field rep that came out to visit me, and took the time to thoroughly inspect everything around my house. He very nice and explained everything in great detail to me. He also recommended a company to get the wood rot fixed.

We discovered termite damage in 2006 and had Terminix tent our house and then purchased their "termite insurance.? The report was very general including no specific measured locations of termite damage. We did not note that at the time ? a mistake we will never make again. Since then on several occasions we have noted areas of damage. Their response was consistently that the areas were ?original damage? and were therefore not subject to any repair by Terminix. On the most recent discovery last Fall, the response was the same when I know that no damage was ever noted on that vertical post and beam location. We erred in not requiring specific measured locations on the original report so we have no way of proving any site was truly new. We requested a formal written denial but have not responded. We have cancelled the insurance as well as their quartely pest control and have asked for a rebate. No response after 45 days. The Terminix Termite Insurance is a SCAM! BEWARE!

Eric Johnson came out, conducted the free termite inspection, and we thought we had termites but were unsure fo teh extent. Eric was professional, very friendly and prepared several options. We ultimately selected fumigation since it was the highest percentage of success of killing all termites and we settled on an arbitrary date, since we wanted to replace the wood siding and make some repairs prior to tenting and fumigating so there were no easy access points back in after killing the termites. We eventually found a contractor we were pleased with, hired and had the work completed and had the home ready for fumigation. The time between the initial free inspection and the fumigation was about 10 weeks since we wanted the work done prior and the holidays of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year interrupted the repair process. Anyway from early November until early January, repairs were conducted and the home was prepared. There were some times of communication that was lost and the inability to get the National and Regional offices to relay communications with my Representative tested my patience. I presume there are plenty of cracks that things can fall into when dealing with a large company, but after relaying my discontent, a manager returned my call, my conversation started with my displeasure, relayed my difficulty and my intentions to go to another Company if they couldn't communicate with my Representative which resulted in the friction being remedied. She assured me the date we moved the fumigation to was confirmed and she would relay to my representative. To be fair, I had a problem, I was not pleased, I relayed the problem, it was very reasonable to want to confirm information when displacing a family for several days and the confirmation was received fairly quickly. I do not have a zero tolerance mentality...Terminix addressed a friction, it was resolved to my liking in the end but understand the communications may need a little work. Displacing a family, dates, gas on and off are significant topics and some of them are additional expenses to the fumigation but their responsiveness was lacking until I eventually was in touch with a person that could take action and was aware of my displeasure and my desire to either have the friction addressed or for me to look to another company but again, it was addressed and I graded the responsiveness fairly and appropriately. This not a forum to vent my personal displeasure it is a place to relay my experience fairly, and there are more companies than not that do not address topics important to you...so communication with multiple people with varying responsibilities resulted in a lagging responsiveness...but results were eventually achieved. Just Prior to the fumigation Eric Johnson came to our home, explained the procedures, gave us some bags to wrap some food items in, answered any questions we had. This was good. Confirmation that dates were solidified, the process and just an understanding of expectations. It is a great inconvenience to leave the house, alarms off (if you have) with everything you own, wrap food, move the family and kids out, re-work work schedules, kids schedules, meals and activities, etc. so understanding and being able to plan as best as possible to resemble some normality is welcomed. The day of fumigation, the fumigation crew arrived preceded by a single person, who was very nice, very friendly, very welcoming and explained what was happening and would occur. I turned over the house keys and departed. The end of the day, I came to collect mail, the house was fully tented, neat and clean looking and a Terminix banner was in front. The 3rd day we were able to return to the home however, a consideration is time of year. It was cooler out and we were unable to get SDGE out to turn the gas back on until the day after however we did plan for that and stayed an extra night...no heat and cold water was unappealing to the wife and little ones so we stayed and extra night. However before noon, the house was ready for re-entry, the house had some leaves and dirt on the carpet from the crew but hardly a dirty disaster. An attention to detail that was either missed or overlooked. We were able to un-bag items, move things around, turn the alarm back on etc. I did notice bugs of all sorts were dead in the garage and all around the exterior of the home. If nothing else, we knew the house was fumigated and everything within the tent must be dead if bugs outside the home were daed all over....which was the intent and focus of the whole operation. The day the home was returned back and we were able to reenter, Eric called up made sure everything was OK, thanked us for our business, etc, and let us get back to getting settled. We will have TERMINIX out yearly at least to check on termites, but overall we received good service, and it was excellently priced. I will say, you will get what you pay for...I think we received an excellent price and we were looking for both quality and price and thought TERMINIX was the best for our family. Our Representative Eric was both professional, personable and friendly and the first experience with TERMINIX was a good one.

18 years of service they were good. But they have. Have changed over charges billing twice after payment demanding more payment. Hours with customer service on phone. Wait a week with a fowl smelling dead worm infested huge attic rat before they pick up the dead rat. Don't explain charges and you end up paying for more pest control services that don't work. Rats learn quickly to stay away from big rat traps so the traps stay in your garage, and are a danger to your curious cats and dogs. Managers don't get back to you for several days. Tons of promotions on your phone for termite insurance. My mom experienced this as well and has cancelled them for all of the above problem. She went through this attic rat problem for three years. The smell is horrible if a rat is killed by the traps. Flea control done monthly doesn't work e even if your animals are on advantage. And yes, the house is clean. We even had to cut Dow. A old beautiful palm tree since rats live and enter attics that way. Many hours on the phone to no avail. Thousand of "extra" services to no avail.

Everything is great. We know our technician on a first name basis, and he gets along with our dog. Furthermore, the ant problem has ceased.

They are better now than they used to be, so I would rate them as excellent. The reason I continued to use them even though their early years were questionable, was because I had a lifetime guarantee on the house for termite protection. So I really couldn’t afford to go to another company. But their service level has come up quite a bit over the last few years.

I've had a really good experience with them over the last two homes that I've owned.

We chose them because we used to live in the San Francisco Bay area and we had Terminix for 20 years. As long as the quality stays the same, I will absolutely continue to use Terminix.

They are easy to work with and very prompt. They also have the right attitude for their customers. I think they hire very wisely.

Terminix did a good job. The guy was here and missed one area so I called and somebody else came back.

I've been using them for many years. They are great they get all A's.

We’ve been in the house for 20 years We used to have big problems with spiders & ants, but we’ve had no problems at all since we started using them in 11/2010. They offer great customer service & their bug service is great.

You don't notice any bugs. There aren't any ants. We had an ant problem before.

The only problem we have had is that we are not always home. They don't always let us know when they will be here to set it up with us. They do a good job when they are here.

They are very consistent. They give reminders ahead of time, and let us know when they are coming. The guy is great, he knocks on our door and ask how things are and how things are doing. They did an incredible job on the flea infestation.

We have been using them for probably 10 years. We have had different people come, and every one of them has been great. They come quarterly, but if we have ants, they will come and take care of it.

They were very thorough, really helpful and useful. The guys that they sent out were knowledgeable. The people that they sent out to repair were skillful and they did everything one time and at cost.

I call them up and they are right on it with getting the traps. I haven't had any problems with them at all. One person comes out all the time so they get to know you. Once I like somebody, I am very loyal to them. I have been with terminix for six years. He puts the traps high enough so that my dogs can't get into the traps and he makes sure to lock the gate behind him. They come out either that day or the next day when I call. The customer service is really nice.

I like their convenience and service.

They have done a fine job as far as I could tell. I have no trouble with Terminix and haven't found any bugs. I've had them to do regular pest control and check once a year for termites, so I've had history with them. I haven't had any pest since I've been using them. It appears that they are doing something right. They arrive on time and are friendly and efficient. They call the night before to let you know they are coming out. They sure have done a good job. They have been right on time with everything. I have been using them and will continue to do so.

I give them an A rating and I will probably use them in the future.

I like that they came out and did the work. The bugs were gone. I have never had a problem with them not showing up on time.
