It went great. Kerry came out and looked over our project's needs. He was efficient and his bid was the most complete of all 3 that we had come out. His bid was over $4,000 cheaper than our 2nd choice. Kerry showed incredible flexibility in working with us as we changed the bid and we tweaked the project in a few ways during construction. The work that was done was fantastic and we're very pleased.
Description of Work: Turned 3rd car garage into office.
Kerry and his entire team - Jake, Randall, and Kevin - that worked on our kitchen, baths, and laundry room were professional, punctual, and courteous from demo through completion. They did an excellent job on each of the areas and we are thrilled with the results. We would hire TaylorPro Home Services again for future projects and look forward to being able to work with Kerry, Jake, Randall, and Kevin again. They did a great job minimizing the dust from the demo of kitchen tiles and were very thorough in leaving the work areas in the house and staging area in the garage clean at the end of each day. Jeff, the fabricator Kerry works with, did an excellent job of fabricating one slab of granite for all of our kitchen area without any seams on the countertops. Cost: Labor + Materials (2 Quartz Slabs + Home Depot) paid to TaylorPro Home Services: $11,000. Other materials (sinks, faucets, water purifier, garbage disposer, lights, mirrors, backsplash tile) we purchased: $2,400. Timeline: First Contact with Dawn Taylor was on 5/28/13. Several email exchanges regarding work we were looking to do. Communications with Dawn indicated that typically TaylorPro Home Services did full remodels only. Didn?t want to waste anyone?s time with estimates if partial kitchen and bath remodels aren?t what they do. We did get a time setup for someone to come and provide an estimate. Kerry Taylor came out to house on 6/17/13 for an estimate. Kerry took measurements and we discussed the work we wanted to have done in the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and laundry room. Kerry was punctual and professional. A written Proposal provided was provided via email on 6/22/13. We sent questions on 6/23/13 on the Proposal. We hadn?t heard back in a couple of weeks. Kerry missed seeing our email, apologized, and replied with us with answers and an updated Proposal on 7/10/13. We selected TaylorPro Home Services for the work on 7/23/13 and reached out via email with a request to update Proposal with a few additional decisions we had mad prior to work starting. Kerry provided a revised proposal on 7/24/13. Kerry came out to house to talk detailed schedule and pick up deposit ($1000) on 7/26/13. Details of daily work from demo to completion. Not all days required a full day. 7/29: Demo day for all areas. Started installing the new subtops in kitchen and master bath. Oven moved out of the way. 7/30: Subtops in kitchen are completed. Started on subtops in guest bath; toilet had to be moved to allow a stud to be built into wall for a supporting bracket. 7/31: Fabrication of kitchen, baths, and laundry templates. 8/2: First phase of drywall repair in the kitchen and baths. Installation of bathroom light hardware. One master bath light fixture was separated into two light fixtures. 8/5: Second phase of drywall repair. 8/6: Finished patching walls. Texture applied to the kitchen and bathroom walls. 8/7: Quartz countertops installed in kitchen, baths, laundry room. Kitchen sink, faucet, garbage disposer installed. Newly Textured areas were sanded down to match the current look/feel of the walls. 8/8: Kitchen backsplash tile were installed. 8/9: Bathroom faucets installed. Grout applied to kitchen backsplash. Light fixtures installed. Mirrors hung. Oven moved back. Toilet moved back.
Taylor Pro Home Services was responsive and professional. The old shower tear down was clean and timely. All deadlines were met and I am completely happy with the new shower remodel. I would be a reference for this company.

A perform the job as expected. They were prompt, they were fast and efficient and they kept the mess to a minimum. The project was completed on time , Which was an essential element of our decision to use Taylor pro home services. They offered suggestions but did not push back if we elected against the changes. We are very happy in our decision to use them.

They did an excellent job. They have excellent craftsmen for tiling and plumbing. They are very flexible in terms of services he can provide. The only room for improvement is you want to have the complete design done before construction starts.

I purchased a 1977 condo that needed a major kitchen remodeling. TaylorPro was very responsive with my request for a proposal and the price was very competitive with the other bids. This included tearing out all of the old cabinets, flooring and demolishing a dividing wall to open up the floorplan. Then new cabinets and new tile was installed. All of the work progressed with great communication, timely completion and all within the original budget proposal. I would highly recommend Kerry and his team of talented individuals to anyone considering a remodeling project.
Description of Work: This involved a full kitchen and dining area remodeling. TaylorPro removed all the old cabinets, flooring and removed a wall to open up the floorplan.

I can't rave enough about how great of a businessman Kerry is. I'll preface this by saying I have extensive experience in real estate and properties. In fact, I've done over 70 renovations from simple renovations to the complete build out of custom homes. I always get at least two quotes before doing a renovation. This was no different. In fact, I originally got a quote from a contractor that our plumber recommended. I came on Angie's List and saw all the wonderful recommendations for TaylorPro and Kerry so I emailed for a quote. I was VERY impressed with Kerry's responsiveness. In fact, he came over to my house that VERY same day that I emailed to inquire about getting an estimate. Kerry came out and took measurements and we chatted about what I was looking to do. I showed him a few photos of other properties that I've gotten the same type of renovation with that particular marble. I was VERY impressed with Kerry's responsiveness. In all my years doing renovations, I've found that the contractors that come out the same day are very responsive and I've always had good luck. Plus, all the wonderful reviews on Angie's List certainly helped him earn my respect. That same night, Kerry forwarded me over a detailed budget that broke everything out in detail. Materials, labor, etc. His budget came out a bit lower than the other contractor that gave me the original quote. When I called the original contractor to thank him for providing a quote but that I was going with another contractor, this company offered to beat Kerry's price. However, to me it wasn't worth the small difference because Kerry made such a positive impression on me. I signed the contract the next day and paid a deposit. Something that I especially appreciated was that Kerry wasn't trying to make money marking up the materials or faucets. I always price things out myself and always go to the store to see what they actually look like. Most times, I just buy items on Amazon.com as they have everything you can imagine and I'm a Prime customer so I get free 2 day shipping. I noticed the original vendor marked up the faucets and also the cost of the marble. Not a huge amount but enough for me to know that he was trying to use it as a profit center. I never like that as a consumer. I don't mind contractors making money from their work but I always hated contractors that marked up items to make money off of that portion. This is where Kerry excelled! He immediately told me that I could go out and buy the items myself. He said he didn't care because he doesn't mark up and gouge customers on materials. I told him that I did intend to buy the Grohe faucets on Amazon.com. Kerry said that was a good idea. Also, Kerry gave me the name and address of his marble person and I immediately went out and selected a slab of marble and I immediately signed a contract. Kerry gave me an estimate of 3 days for the work. To be objective I will say it took a bit longer. The marble work took longer than expected. They did it over 5 days but on day 4 they were only over 2 hours. I would have preferred to have it all done in 3 days but Kerry was very open and even offered to come out over the weekend (originally they were supposed to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). We had plans over the weekend so we couldn't be there so we were fine with the extra 2 days which Kerry told me on that Friday. Kerry's communication skills and responsiveness are really great. Kerry also understands how important it is to be responsive. That impressed me. I can't tell you how many contractors over the years lost out on jobs because they were a day late on providing an estimate and I went with someone else. His staff were real pros. Something my wife and I appreciated is that his staff were very tidy. My wife was NOT happy with the last contractor that came over to do some drywall work after we added some lights. He made a MESS all over the house and tracked a mess all over the house. Kerry's guys were constantly cleaning so it was tidy. We really appreciated this and it's amazing how many contractors don't realize how important this is. The marble turned out GORGEOUS! It really changed the look of the bathroom. It's amazing how something as simple as changing out the countertops gives a bathroom a new look. I've done over 50 renovations on bathrooms and it always is worth the investment and it lasts forever. Few things look better to me than Carrera marble countertops that are installed properly. One thing I was surprised at is just how labor intensive it is to change out faucets. Although I've done a lot of renovations, I guess I've never been around when they changed out faucets. I didn't realize it took so long and there were so many parts. I'm not sure if all faucets are like this but the Grohe faucets have a million parts. His staff were great installing them and they look great! On the last day the last 2 faucets that we had changed out in a bathroom that we didn't get new countertops in didn't fit. There wasn't enough room underneath for the new faucet to fit. The alternatives were to try to pull up the sink and cut part out underneath or they could try to do it all underneath. I did NOT want to pull out the sinks and preferred underneath even though I knew there wasn't much room to work underneath but his guys managed to cut away enough to fit the new Grohe faucets and they look great. I didn't want them to give up because ALL the other bathroom sinks have the new faucets and we wanted to match them. His guys were GREAT and didn't complain and did the work. They didn't have the saw they needed so Kerry dropped it off. I really stressed we needed the work done that day as we had out of town guests the following day. True to his promise, the work was all completed on time and looks gorgeous. I can't recommend Kerry and his team enough. His marble guy Jeff is really great. All of the workers were courteous, tidy and conscientious of my family. The only downside is it looks so great now my wife wants to get the same matching Carrera marble to put on the floors and Kerry is bidding on that. Thanks Kerry and thanks Taylor Pro for a job well done.
Description of Work: -Renovated 3 bathroom countertops and replaced the tile countertops that were original to the house and replaced it with Carrera Marble countertops. - Replaced 7 Faucets in the 5 bathrooms. The work included demolishing the old countertops, clean up, installation of the new marble countertops and changing out 7 faucets to Grohe faucets.
Overall we are very pleased with our new bathroom and the quality of the work. The whole process took longer than expected but this was not really a problem. TaylorPro did a great job trying to keep the rest of the house clean while working. They were on time and gave us a call if something changed or they were going to be later than expected. They alerted us to problems found from the previous owners' remodel and fixed those too. We also had an issue with the grout in the shower not curing but this was also fixed promptly. Kerry was very easy to work with because he was so accessible by phone or email and listened to our concerns/wishes. We really appreciated the fact that nothing was purchased without our permission and we received all receipts at the end of the project. There were a few things that needed fixing after the bulk of the project was finished and these issues were resolved quickly.
Description of Work: We had our small master bathroom redone including demo of the old and installation of a new tile shower, glass door, tile floor, new medicine cabinets, granite countertops and new cabinets. We also had them install an additional outlet, new exhaust fans and new window. We bought some fixtures ourselves and TaylorPro installed them for us.
We love our new kitchen, and we are completely satisfied with the professionalism of TaylorPro. First they helped us visualize our plan, and then they executed it expeditiously and flawlessly. Once on the job they never abandoned us to work on someone else's job. They stayed until the work was done in 12 business days. Thank you!
Description of Work: Completely remodeled our kitchen including moving and painting walls, installing ceiling lights with dimmers, granite counter tops, back slash, and new appliances.
TaylorPro came to our house and gave us an estimate for the work. We gave them a deposit and were promised a start date. They started on time. In the course of the work there were several change orders and the job was extended to include additional work not originally planned. Overall the job went smoothly with only a few problems that TaylorPro eventually fixed. It took a bit longer than the estimate because the tub vendor shipped the wrong tub and TaylorPro had some mishaps that required repairs. Although not perfect, our experience with TaylorPro was better than most experiences we have had with remodelers. I had to give them a B for professionalism because they did have some problems with aspects of the job that more experienced workers would have avoided. They made up for it in enthusiasm and friendliness and reasonable pricing.
Description of Work: We had TaylorPro remodel our bedroom and bathroom. This involved gutting most of the area down to the studs, rebuilding a wall and adding another wall, modifying the plumbing for a new tub and new sinks, adding light fixtures and circuits for whirlpool bath, tiling floor and walls, installing two pocket doors, installing a glass block feature, and cutting an opening in an exterior wall and installing a window.. They also installed new insulation in the bedroom walls, sheetrocked and painted. They also rerouted the water supplies to avoid underground piping and installed a bathroom fan in the bathroom below the bath that was being remodeled. We had to order some of the supplies (doors, tub, vanity, sinks, window).
Kerry was invited to our house to bid on our kitchen remodel in August 2012. We were impressed with his courtesy and professionalism from the start. His estimates were prompt and changes to the scope of work were ready the next day. After we went on vacation for a month, we started work in October. The scope of work included: he removed the counter tops, sink, plumbing, all base and wall cabinets, appliances, french doors and backsplashes. He replaced all switches and outlets, and stops on the water supply. He repaired some damaged drywall. Kerry helped us with our cabinet and granite countertop selection and oversaw their installation within the existing footprint. He installed a stainless undermount sink, garbage disposal, faucet, drain plumbing, and airgap. Our experience with Kerry and his crew was positive from start to finish. Everyone was courteous, prompt, and professional. The work was completed in a timely manner and right on the original estimate. Most importantly, the kitchen is absolutely beautiful. Everytime someone comes over they just say "wow, what a great kitchen!" We highly recommend Taylorpro for anyone looking for an excellent, quality kitchen remodel.
