We are happy with the work done. The electrician went through the interior electrical plugs to install the exterior plug. So far all 4 are working well.

I was very satisfied with the work they did for me. We had a smoke detector that was 18 feet high on the ceiling, and the only way to get to it was to put a ladder on our bed. I wasn't going to do that, so they came and disabled it, and put one above our doorway, so that we can reach it. The owner, Kathleen Swinson, was very sympathetic. I would use them again.

Overall the technician was fast, courteous, and did excellent work, leaving plenty of slack in all the wires in case we needed to make changes. However, even though we asked for a detailed estimate prior to starting work (we were denied this because of the relatively small scope of the job), and we provided a detailed drawing and list of types of wire we required, the installer did not put in fire wire for the locations we asked, and substituted plenum rated wire (much cheaper and inflammable) instead. When we called him to complain, he said the wire was fire rated, but we know the difference between plenum wire and fire wire - upon closer inspection of the wire in question, it was certainly plenum rated. He promised to return and replace the wire with the appropriate type but never did. We also called the owner of the company to complain, and she promised to fix it, but the technician never returned to correct the error. We do not have time to repeatedly call the company, so we gave up at this point.

My call was answered immediately, no message to leave, and there was an electrician out here the next morning. He was super nice, professional, thorough and after working for about an hour, he called in another electrician and they got it finished within 4 hours. Some of the existing wall's drywall was cut out in the process of extending wiring to reach around corner. It was done with minimal damage, easily patched by Newman windows crew who were coming in afterwards. The whole process by which the electricians assess, explain, and estimate cost for projects is GREAT! A simple, logical breakdown of what the "job" costs separated into well-defined categories, written in plain english and with a price-range listing was presented to me. There was a menu of different job types, complexities, and scale. From replacing a switch, installing a GFI outlets, re-positioning ceiling fixtures in a room to upgrading electrical panels, EVERYTHING was easy to identify and relate to your particular job, and itemize costs. Electrician was great about explaining what projects cost individually, in combination with other jobs, and even went through house and did estimates on future projects, so we can prioritize repairs/upgrades. Have used them 3 separate times, every time it's been less than 24 hours before somebody was at my door. All friendly, all clean and left bathroom spotless on those half-day jobs. Chat freely if you want, can be left alone too. Would recommend for sure. Prices might be occasionally 10-15% higher on a particular job than comparable services, but overall they are a good value and they stand by their work. I will call on them again in 2011.

Jack was EXCELLENT from the very beginning in getting us a punctual, detailed, very competitive quote for the electrical work of our home renovation. We wish we could have used him, but we had to go with the contractor's since it was part of the agreement. We will use Jack again in the future.

They are excellent electrician. I had several electricians but they are reasonable. They don’t some out and do bad work. If they can’t do it they will tell you upfront.

Professional on the phone, punctual arrival, very courteous and knowledgeable electrician (Joey). Identified problem quickly, had the parts with him, and left only after he had shown me the work and correction. Outstanding service.

Joey arrived at the house on time and ready to work. In all the work took two days to complete. On the first day he installed two of the recessed lights and pulled the wires through the wall to the switch plate. He added in a new plug for a wine fridge in the bar area and moved a switch that was located below the bar to above the bar area. On the first day he also installed the two GFIs in the kitchen, relocated the 220v plug to a new location where we were installing the double oven. He also ran the cable for the new circuit from the garage into the kitchen and began laying out the wiring for the microwave and warming drawer. On the second day he installed 4 recessed lights in the living area and the remaining two lights in the kitchen area. He completed adding the new circuit and was able to optimize the use in the electric panel so that he didn't consume any extra spaces. When he completed all of the work he walked through each of the items that were completed and reviewed that they were functioning as expected.

The representative determined that two ballasts were damaged.

I am so glad I found this company. They could of told me that I needed to replace the whole breaker box but instead, they only flipped a switch and the whole problem was solved. They really deserve an A+ in honesty and professionalism. Whenever I have electrical problems I ll call them for sure.

If you are reading this, you should use them. The price was excellent and the work was excellent, too. I would highly recommend them without any reservations. I wish all jobs went this well

Fur identified the problem, and scheduled the work the following day. He came out with a colleague and they disconnected the old sub panel and installed a new one with new breakers for the laundry and the microwave. They included clean up and securing the property. Both of them were polite, professional, and punctual. The work done was priced fairly. I have used Swinson Electric several times now, and will use them again. I highly recommend this company.

They were very prompt and took a look at the work and gave me a good estimate. The trip fee was very reasonable and it was good that I knew what to expect when they came out. They had all the equipment they needed on the truck.

It went great. He was very courteous and very professional. He did an outstanding job and if I have any more electrical problems I will call these people back to do the work.
