Swede Chimney Sweep & Dryer Vent Cleaning

I called for an inspection and cleaning. Terri was very good at getting me on the schedule and quoting 2 prices; 1 for the inspection and 1 for the cleaning. Rick and Kyle were on time and very professional. They took care to not get anything dirty and wore booties. They inspected everything and said that I didn’t need to have it cleaned. I asked a lot of questions and they answered them all. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

Amazing experience...full inspection show the chimney hadn't been used much so no sweep was performed. They informed me of how to use our smaller chimney safely and for how long before a sweep was needed. It was easy to schedule, he showed up on time, and was super professional and thorough. I was so impressed by their helpfulness by phone even though they got no immediate economic benefit from it. Terry made an exceptional recommendation of someone who did an extraordinary job evaluating an old fireplace and chimney. My only regret is I lost the name of the very thorough chimney sweep.

The process was smooth and efficient. It had been 3 seasons since we had a cleaning done. Rick did a thorough inspection and cleaning, gave me an update on the condition of the inserts pieces and parts, and had everything back together and tidy in about 45-50 minutes.

They were offering a deal because of the off season, and I contacted them to schedule. Terri was prompt and friendly in making the appointment, and confirmed the cost for the inspection and the cost for a chimney cleaning. Rick arrived as scheduled, performed a thorough inspection and let us know that there was no need for a cleaning. He recommended a few repairs and suggested we have another inspection in 2 years. This is the second time I've used Swede Sweep. They are professional and trustworthy. When you have these kinds of services, you are paying for someone who knows what they are doing and will perform the services safely and completely. I'd have no hesitation on using Swede Sweep again and I can highly recommend their services. They are very careful to protect the interior of your home while they do their work.

Rick was friendly, knowledgeable and protected my hardwood floors. Fortunately, he said I did not need to have the chimney cleaned! I appreciate his honesty and he also gave us some tips on using chemical logs and where we should position them in our firebox. Terri, his wife, was great on the phone when I called for an appointment and answered several questions that I had. All in all, it was one of the best experiences I've had!

Rick arrived on time and finished the job quickly. He was very professional and told us we do not need sweeping at this time. We really appreciate his honesty. We would use his service in the future.

Wonderful company and very knowledgeable. I had gas logs in my fireplace w/o having the damper locked open. Terri explained the hazard (and illegality) of this setup. Rick explained the extra touches he implemented on the top mount damper install to keep everything out (bees that we have had in the past, etc.). Very impressed.

I was only in town for a few days between business trips, so I emailed them ask if they could work me in when I got back. They answered the email that night - AFTER 8 pm! We set up an appointment for two days later. The owner came right on time, did the work quickly, and made no mess whatsoever. He was great! Made some really good recommendations for improving the chimneys. They are some of the nicest people I've ever met in San Diego. Use their service. You will NOT be disappointed!

Absolutely great.......totally professional individuals, 2 appointments were scheduled, one for clean out and one for the repair, very prompt and friendly, both Rick and Terri, answered all my questions, covered and protected all furnishings and flooring. Rick and Terry are the dynamic duo behind Swede Chimney Sweep! The company was recommended to us from a chimney/fireplace repair business that we hired to repair our 1920's fireplace when we first bought our home. We have been using them ever since. Terry takes care of scheduling appointments and is very friendly, knowledgable and fantastic about sending out postcard reminders and following it up with a phone call the day before the cleaning. Rick is always punctual, conscientious, and knowledgable about how to keep your fireplace clean and safe and leaves the fireplace and surrounding area clean as a whistle.

Rick came and mentioned the chimney didnot need cleaning. We are glad that he was earnest about the work and did not charge us for cleaning. I would recommend Rick to anyone who needs help with their Chimney.

Rick is awesome. They were able to fit us in due to a cancellation. It was raining today (on and off), but fortunately Rick was still able to do the work. Our chimney was dirty and we have a sloped roof.... In brief, he is a gentleman and as professional as it gets. He carefully draped the floors and our WHITE carpets and cleaned the chimney. When he was done, there was not one drop of water or scuff on the floor or carpets! It's uncanny.... He gave us the inspection report which includes some cracks in the backwall and side of the firebox. We're looking forward to having him help us fix that in the near future. They called to state they were running a few minutes (15) behind schedule which was no problem for me. I usually expect most service people to come late but they actually called to let me know. Rick inspected my firebox and let me know a few bricks were loose. He instructed us not to have a fire as we might have a serious issue. He gave us the name of someone he has worked with and recommends. He was extremely neat and clean. When he left there was no trace of ashes anywhere in the house.

Rick was on time and totally professional. The work was done with care for the furniture and carpets. I can't think of a negative to report. Rick and his wife are extremely knowledgeable and offered helpful suggestions. I will use their service again and highly recommend them for anyone needing their services.
