Description of Work: We were interested in solar, but did not know enough about it to sort through the multiple companies and plans. I saw notice about a presentation to be given by Sullivan, and my husband and I attended. It was informative with no sales pressure. In fact, the speaker told gave general things to ask and watch for no matter which company was hired. They also explained net metering and pending legislation that would change the current reimbursement. We were so impressed with the professionalism of the presentation that we signed up for an extimate immediately. The inspection of our roof, extimate, guarantees, and the fact that Sullivan is a local company with clients from individuala to major corporations and government entities made us believers. The job was superb, and we could not be happier with the panels.

Ryan was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. They analyze your needs and discuss your options as to the best design and placement of the panels. All of the compnonents were of the best quality (Sharp panels, racking system). They scheduled the work to coordinate with the roof repairs. Very polite and professional. You can monitor your system output and performance on a web page. They complete all of the permits and the paperwork for the state rebate (the federal credit is an easy entry on your tax form).  + -1 moreAdam was the guy that came and explained everything. He was so knowledgeable and impressive. He followed the progress every step of the way and he is still available for us to call on for any questions or issues. The system comes with a monitoring system that you can access on line with your computer so you can see on a daily basis how much energy you are making. Sullivan Solar also monitors it on a grid system they have so if something happens they will pick up on it and let you know and they will fix it. This is one of the reasons why we chose them.
Description of Work: They put solar panels on our entire roof which covers our entire electric bill. We evaluated about 7-8 companies before we picked them. There was a federal and state rebates which they helped us get.

 + -1 moreEric came out to give me an estimate on a large system. I had already done quite a lot of research and have coworkers who have positive experiences with this company. I was a buyer. Unfortunately for me, my roof was not suitable for a large scale system. Eric said that they could only install about 1/2 of the panels necessary and those would not operate at peak levels. He also informed me that if it was his house he would not put them on as it would be too inefficient and would not look good. I was very impressed at his honesty as he probably gave up a very large commission.

 + -1 moreWonderful experience .... one of those times when you are so pleased to be dealing with the best people in an area that is unfamiliar to us.
Description of Work: After obtaining quotations from 5 solar electric system contractors, we contracted with Sullivan Solar for a 3.6 KW solar electric system for our home. The entire experience in dealing with Sullivan was SUPERB and remains that way after our first year. They provided us with the clearest and best designed proposals, walked us through the proposed process, agreed to work with our choice of roofer, made payment easy and incremental as work was performed. Eric (sales), Chris (project supervisor) and Pete (lead electrician) were all friendly, professional and went the extra mile. Once permits were gained, system was installed quickly and painlessly to us and now produces 110% of our entire household use, even though they estimated only 91% (nice surprise). When the City of San Diego inspector arrived to do final sign off, he told me point blank that if Sullivan Solar installed the system, it would be well above code and he was probably wasting his time checking it out (which he then did and confirmed that it was a great system). Company has stayed in touch and we are pleased to recommend them to our friends in the neighborhood.
