Description of Work: I needed a new roof as well (and Solar Alliance does do roofs), but I contracted with an independent roofer. Solar Alliance rolled the cost of the roof into the overall loan so that I could receive the federal credit for the roof( as well as the panels). That was very helpful and saved a lot of money. I have thirty panels. The cost of the panels was just over $34,500 and the cost of the roof was just over $11,000. The County Inspector required a fix on the graphic panel that the firm installed but that took only an extra week. They use EnerBank as their financing Partner and they financed the cost of the Federal credit (just over $13,500) in a separate interest free loan for a year. After I received my credit, I paid that loan off. The remaining is financed over a 12 year period. The total cost to me was zero dollars up front and the cost of paying back the financed panels is about what I was paying for electric. Solar Alliance is one of three that I received bids from. They were not the lowest nor were they the highest. Each firm did an analysis to see how many panels that I needed. Each was different (leading me to believe that it is not an exact science). Solar Alliance was in the middle there as well. Solar Alliance contracts with SolarWest for installation and follow up. I found them to be responsive and courteous as well. The system is monitored by Enlighten Enphase. The system is easy to check on line and I get a report each month on how the system is operating. In the early stages, there was a panel that went off line. Enphase arranged to have it repaired. All in all I received good service in all phases. I don't rate anybody as an A because they would have to exceed my expectations to do so. I got what I paid for and certainly can't complain about that.

No work has been done yet.
Description of Work: Received an estimate for solar panels based on our past 12 months electric bills. This estimate was for either a lease or buy option. Mike, our rep., explained in detail the costs, warranty, rebates and differences between a buy and lease option in terms that were easy to understand. He aslo explianed the projected increases in the cost of electricity and which solar plan that would best suit our needs based on our previous electricity use. Solar is the way to go! Make sure you fully understand the agreement and approximate savings before you commit.
