Description of Work: Sandra is amazing! I've never seen such beautiful work and attention to detail. The job was a small master bathroom area. I chose her based on other Angie's List reviews and they were spot on. I wish I had other rooms in my home to add wallpaper just so I could call her back :-)

Description of Work: Sandra Steele hung wallpaper for us in a guest powder room, the master bathroom and bedroom. In the master bedroom, she hung a very difficult metal foil wallpaper beautifully. Sandra doesn't just hang the wallpaper, she artistically examines the pattern and the wall space to determine the most pleasing layout for that space. For example, in the master bath the counter tops are a variegated granite. On the splash, the dark streaks run vertically. Sandra aligned the darker vertical elements in the wallpaper pattern with the dark streaks in the granite splash. The wallpaper goes great with the granite anyway, but now the pattern in the granite and in the wallpaper also bond forming an aesthetically pleasing connection - simply elegant. Also, Sandra thoroughly preps the walls with sanding and applying a high quality primer. She goes over every inch of the walls with her hands looking for problem spots, which she expertly repairs as needed. I waited a few months to do this review of Sandra Steele Paperhanging to see if the wallpaper stayed adhered to the wall and if the seems stayed tight. Great news, even after the humidity and temperature differences over the past six months the wallpaper all looks as good as when first installed. I would highly recommend Sandra to anyone in need of wallpaper hanging. I found her to be conscientious, professional, creative, timely, cost competitive, and a good listener to your wishes. She will work with you to find out how best to give you the outcome you desire all at a reasonable price. In fact, I paid her an extra $150 because she did what I considered above and beyond her bid - she did not ask or hint at anything extra. When I added the amount, she said her work was all part of the bid price. However, I'm a retired general contractor, and I know quality work and when a subcontractor goes above and beyond the bid price. She absolutely earned every penny with the wallpaper work she did for us! Could not be more pleased.
