I called San Diego Lock and Safe as their website indicated that they serviced Baldwin lock sets in particular. I called and was able to make an appointment with Bill right away. He showed up promptly at the appointed time and fixed several items - he had the needed Baldwin parts on his truck. He even found some parts that were incorrectly installed and fixed those. He replaced several broken springs, cleaned and lubricated the parts and put it all back. The lock now works better than it has in the last ten years. Bill was affable and professional. I will call him again when I require a locksmith. Highly recommended.

Completely unresponsive. I called and and left a voice mail a couple weeks ago. The call was returned later that same day, and they left a message. Since then none of my calls have been returned nor my email answered. Update: I am very sorry to hear about your wife and I hope you are both doing well.I changed the overall rating to an A; It is I who owe you an appolgy for giving you a bad rating when you were facing such hardship. My thought are with you both.

I left a phone message asking for a return call. My call was never returned.

Radio silence. A nonresponsive company. Perhaps they have gone out of business?

We decided to re-key our locks after after some construction work done on our home. SD Lock and Safe was on time, courteous, quick to complete the job, and offered great advice to my questions regarding alternate locks. We have used SD Lock and Safe in the past, and, will use again in the future.

I recently purchased a bank owned home and it had a wall safe that there was no combination or key for. I found San Diego Lock and Key on Angie's List and looked at their website and was impressed by its detail. I called them and Bill, the co-owner gave me some suggestions over the phone and how I might access the safe. This did not work so he came out to the house on April 5th. He was able to open the safe without doing any damage to the combination dial or lock. He then rekeyed the lock and showed me how to charge the battery in the safe so the default combination would work. He spent about an hour+ at my house and I am very pleased with his work. I highly recommend this company for its quality work and honesty.

We didn't do the work because this locksmith had enough integrity to recommend that we don't. He told us the fit of the new unit we bought was wrong and suggested we get something different - and less expensive - from Home Depot and he'd be glad to install it. He wanted to walk away with no money at all, but we gave him $50 for his trouble. As a result of this experience we would never go anywhere else for our locksmith problems! This is a company you can trust! Plus, unlike most locksmiths, these folks know what a website and email are. And they use both!
