+ -1 moreI called for the appointment. The first time the person arrived before the window for repair between 11 and 1. I was home by 1055. After 1 (when I called) I found out he had been there early. He hadn't left a note, hadn't stayed the extra 10 minutes till the window was "officially open", nor had I received a call afterwards that they had stopped by early and not found anyone home. I hadn't received a call either that anyone was headed there early so had to run out for about 15 min but returned 5 to 11 for the 11-1 time frame. He spoke with the housekeeper, who was unaware of the work, then left. I had not informed her because I was going to return in time for the repair time frame. I had to reschedule. The second time he called in advance stating he would be there within 30 min. This time the work was done quickly and efficiently. Much better than the first time. I can't give a good on punctuality because of lack of information about arrival time.
Description of Work: This was a special, change of rollers for 2 doors purchased.

Description of Work: Andrew arrived punctually and examined my old garage door package. He went to work to replace the old steel rollers with quieter synthetic rollers. He offered to come back at a later time if I ever had the springs break. I could tell that he was honest and professional. Now my garage door sounds better and I feel safer opening and closing it multiple times a day. I had a good experience with Door Pro.

Description of Work: Andrew (the owner/manager) performed the service. He replaced the rollers on my garage door, tightened all hinges and lubricated all moving parts. The door had been extremely noisy including squeeks and a loud pop at one point in the door travel. He educated me on how and with what to lubricate the door in the future. After the service the door is dramatically quiet as compared to before. I also mentioned to Andrew the keypad mounted on the outside of the house that was supposed to provide opening/closing of the door with a code entry. We have been in the house only 6 months and it had never worked, besides I did not have the code. He opened it up found a dead and broken battery. I provided a new battery, he installed it, reprogrammed it to a new code I selected and it works great. He did this at no extra cost; the original agreed upon price was for door servicing only. Nice to have a little extra service without jacking up the price. Much appreciated. My only complaint was punctionality. Andrew came about 1 1/2 hours after the agreed upon time window. He did call twice to say he was running late, the second time I told him it was a problem so he then showed up about 15 minutes later. With the extra service it more than made up for the delay.

+ -1 moreIt was absolutely wonderful. He was on time and extremely professional. He didn't try to BS me. I would definitely use him again. It was a Big Deal and I knew that I needed the spring. The Big Deal was $89 and I spent an additional $150. I was very, very pleased with his honesty, timeliness and professionalism. He cleaned up and even swept the garage floor. I would definitely use him again if need be.

+ -1 moreWe were given a 2-hr window on a Saturday for when someone would arrive at the house to do the repair and Andrew arrived at the tail-end of that time frame, but that didn't bother us too much. Andrew went right to work and was very professional. He says the company will warranty the springs for up to 10 years and there's also a 10 year warranty on the rollers! He noticed that our invoice only mentioned the 10 yr warranty on the springs, so Andrew said he will send us a new invoice which would also state the 10 yr warranty on the rollers. He did such a great job that we asked him to replace the rollers on our single garage door, but unfortunately, he had ran out of rollers for the day! We wanted for him to come back at a later time to replace the rollers and Andrew actually recommended for us to save our money and replace the rollers when the spring on the single garage door breaks. Since we told him we don't use the single garage door that much, he suggested for us to save our money! We would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to our friends and neighbors. Andrew was very genuine and did not try to sell additional services which we did not need.
Description of Work: We have a 3 car garage. The spring on one side of our double garage door broke so we called around for 3-4 estimates. Garage Door Pros had the best pricing so we selected them. Andrew was courteous on the phone when he gave the estimate and also in person when he came to do the work. Our rollers were also very old and noisy so we decided to replace those as well since Andrew gave us such a great deal! The $260 includes replacing a pair of springs and all the rollers for a double garage door!!!

+ -1 moreThe staff at Door Pros scheduled me in and call me the day before my appointment for a reminder.They were great about scheduling me in and gave me a time window of 1-3 pm. With field calls, some jobs might take longer and require a window time frame. Justin arrived around 2:30 pm on October 24th. He is very friendly, helpful, and efficient with tuning up my garage door. He checked the nylon rollers, garage door opener, and door bolts. Justin tightened some loose bolts. He also programmed the keypad and installed the pad on the exterior of the door. My doors along with the keypad work great. Door Pros serviced my garage doors one year ago and I have used them ever since. They do great work and I highly recommend them. Their pricing is very reasonable for the amount of work done. One month ago, I called a company in the Los Angeles area for fixing the . garage door on my rental. The door needed new rollers and a tune-up. They quoted me $75.00 just for a service call and this did not include parts and labor. So, this is a great deal!
Description of Work: I purchase Angies List coupon on October 15th for the garage door package. I had a keyless garage door keypad installed along with a tune-up on my garage doors.

+ -1 morePurchased Big Deal with Angie's List. Emailed them to schedule the appointment plus additional work that i needed done. I needed to have the work done either monday or Tuesday. I got a call last friday to cancel. i rescheduled for Tuesday 10/23/12. They called me again today to cancel the appointment and to reschedule for Saturday. i asked what the problem was and they said one of our technicians wanted to go on vacation. I don't like our the run their business for scheduling.

+ -1 moreI recently moved into a home with a 2 car garage. Opening and closing the garage doors were very noisy. This company's pitch for its deal was something like, "if you have noisy garage doors, we can fix that with our tune ups." so I bought two deals to fix my problem. The technician that came to perform the service needed to push back the arrival time twice, but called each time. This was not my problem. When the tech arrived, he went about his work; it took about 30 - 45 minutes. AFTER he was finished he said to me, "Your noise problem comes from the springs on each door, not the rollers (which is what the tune up addressed".) I was stunned. He then said that it would be $200 - 300 each to replace the springs. Then he said, "I'm supposed to give you a coupon for 25% off, but I forgot to bring them. But if you go online and sign up for our annual maintenance you can get the same deal." At this point I was speechless. Bottom line: my problem was not addressed and I feel that this company is pretty much worthless. Stay away. If you need work on your garage doors, look somewhere else...there are plenty of other companies around.

+ -1 moreThe garage door sensor and stop were damaged by vehicle. I called San Diego Door Pros to see if they could help since they did the original install just a few months ago. They responded to the site very quickly, within two hours, assessed the damage and not only repaired the damage but also adjusted the door, did maintenance on the hardware and programed a vehicle remote within about a half hour. The door works great and we did not have to go any length of time with it out of service. Andrew was very understanding, professional and polite. This is the best garage door service company I have ever done business with over the last 30 years!

+ -1 moreHad a broken Garage Door and live in a complex where we can't park outside garage...kind of important for it to work...and my Wife couldn't reach to close. we were stuck...and these guys were out same day, (I called wed night and left a message and they called me back Thursday and were out to fix thursday afternoon. didn't have to replace (like i thought they would) he just repaired, gave it a quick service and now it closes like a charm. I didn't even have to leave work to meet. Our kid was home (thank Summer Vacation!) and he let them in...hopefully learned something...and let them out when they were done. the rep called and they took payment over the phone....by time I got home...door opened just right, way quieter too. thanks GD SD!
