I contacted RC Roofing to get a bid on re-roofing my second story roof in preparation of installing a solar power system. Rick Clark of RC Roofing explained in significant detail the proper procedure to install a roof when installing solar power. He recommended the old roof be removed, then the solar contractor install the stanchions, followed by the stanchion flashings and the roof being installed. In following this process, it is the roofer warranty that applies, and not the standard ten year warranty by the solar contractor. I thought I might have a challenge in coordinating the work to be done by the roofer and solar contractor, but I didn't. Rick contacted my solar contractor (Unique Solar) and arranged all scheduling without me having to be involved. It all worked out very well. In a period of two days, my old roof was removed, the solar stanchions installed by Unique Solar, and the new roof installed. I was very satisfied with the job done, and in everything associated with it. Rick Clark arrived to inspect my roof shortly after I called. He wrote a detailed bid proposal that had no ambiguities and explained in detail all work to be performed. All the RC Roofing personnel were polite, didn?t have loud music on during their work, left no mess or debris whatsoever, and even repaired part of another roof on my house and painted the flashings at no additional charge. From initial contact with RC Roofing to job completion took only four days; that is very timely. One last thing I should probably mention is the integrity of RC Roofing. I requested Rick Clark inspect the roofs of two commercial buildings owned by my mother-in-law. He reported back to me that the roofs were in good shape and didn?t need to be replaced. He noted that the mastic was cracking at the base of one of the air conditioners, and that he could repair, but that it would be easy for me to do and less expensive. This shows the honesty of the company. I think RC Roofing can be trusted, and I will use them again if the need arises.

We had our concrete tile roof repaired by RC Roofing. I had four companies come out to give estimates for a lift and relay. RC's estimate was not the cheapest, but it was the most thorough and complete. Rick was very knowledgeable and was able to spot all of our problem areas and explain how he would fix them. Before relaying the tile they replaced a lot of wood, the fascia and starter board. Our roof is beautiful! Rick and his crew delivered everything just as promised. They were hard working, prompt, polite, and happy to answer our questions and concerns. I highly recommend RC Roofing if you are in need of a new roof or roof repair.

I called 5 roofing companies to explain that my roof was leaking, and asked that they take a look. Of the 5 companies, only RC Roofing highlighted the area that needed repair and gave me separate bids for the repair work and for a new roof, while the other companies only presented bids for a new roof. I really appreciated the separate bid from RC Roofing for the repair work, which saved me a lot of money and bought me more time with my existing roof. It has rained 3 or 4 times since they completed the work, and the repairs have held up perfectly. In addition, RC Roofing sent me a picture of the damaged area before they patched it as evidence that they found the problem, which gave me further confidence that the leak was fixed. Finally, the bid from RC Roofing for a new roof was very competitive, with a price lower than most of the other bids I received. I found RC Roofing to be honest and professional, and I will certainly call them again when it is time for me to replace my roof in the future.

Excellent work, performed quickly and on time, and exactly as promised, for a reasonable/competitive price. No surprises. They also did a great job of cleaning up. Rick Clark was very thorough when evaluating our needs before making his proposal. Very professional and easy to work with.

Contacted Rick at RC Roofing to address severe ponding that we were experiencing on the flat areas of our roof. Water would puddle for many days after a major rain. Rick inspected the area and suggested a few options to fix. This was also a great time to review possibly replace the roof as it was over 35 years old and definitely showing its age. There was a lot of fascia that was either warped or rotted that needed attention too. Several of the rafters needed replacement due to rot or termite damage and they opened up the roof to correctly replace vs. stubbing it off. RC Roofing corrected the flat areas, replaced the fascia and roof tile. Its like a brand new home. I was very impressed with all their workmanship. They did a great job.

Rick was punctual and professional. He inspected a small corner of my garage roof that had been identified by my termite inspection service as needing a roofer's attention. Rick discussed with me some options of how I might handle matters. I appreciated his honesty. While on the roof, Rick also took the time to provide me with some broader observations about it and when it might need some additional attention. When I chose not to proceed with any work at this time, Rick was understanding and gracious in his response. In the future, when I do have a significant roofing work requiring attention, I'll be certain to contact Rick.

Rick Clark, owner of RC Roofing, was a pleasure to work with. He is one of the most professional, thorough, and courteous business people I've ever encountered. He came out and looked at my garage/office roof and got a bid proposal to me by the next day. I had many questions about the materials and work and he took the time to explain all of the options and pricing. Once I had decided on a material, we scheduled a date (within 2 weeks). On the day of the job, Rick came out with the crew and everything went very smoothly. The job was finished in the timeframe promised and the crew did a great job of cleaning up the site after they finished working. At my request, Rick also inspected the roof on the main house, which had also been leaking in a couple of areas. I climbed up on the roof with him and he showed me where the asphalt shingles were starting to fail and areas where the flashing was inadequate. Rick told me that the roof would need to be replaced in a few years, but didn't think it was necessary at this time. He offered to repair the flashings where the leaks were occurring at no cost while his crew was there doing the garage. I was pleased that he was honest and didn't try to convince me to reroof my entire house as well (tripling the cost of the job). A week after RC Roofing completed the job there was a heavy rain, but I am pleased to report that BOTH roofs held up beautifully, with no leaks anywhere. It's been almost a year since the roof was replaced and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend RC Roofing and would gladly work with them again.

I found RC on Angies list and could not be happier with the way everything went. From the first contact with Rick to the last nail was a seamless experience where he kept me informed and was always on time. His crew was great . They were friendly hard working and skilled. In only three and a half days they did the tear off replaced 850 feet of lumber the bugs ate, put down a thermal barrier and the best looking roof on the block. They pay attention to detail and use quality products. When you spend this kind of money you dont want to be disappointed, and with Rick and his guys you wont be.

He is not a salesman but an owner of the company and cares about the quality of his work and that shines through. His company went above and beyond to address each of my concerns (and I am a very particular and detailed customer). Mid way through the project I needed to replace some insulation and Rick and his crew were very accommodating and they never made me feel like I was impeding their work and progress. They worked with me and were flexible. I have a flat roof and Rick put together a proposal to address the challenges my job presented that other roofers did not do when they were bidding the job. The clean up during and after the work was done by the crew in a very conscientious manner . I would recommend RC Roofing without any reservations.

We decided to have solar panels installed, and did not want to put a new solar system on top of a 25--year-old asphalt shingle roof. Rick came to inspect the roof and quote the job of replacing the old roof with a new one. He left numerous samples and was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions about the various options. The job had to be coordinated with the work of the solar contractor, which led to my delaying in giving RC Roofing the final order until I had the solar contractor lined up. Once the job was scheduled, RC Roofing did the tear-off of the old roof, then the solar guys came in to anchor the stanchions on the bare understructure, then the roofers came back to waterproof everything and finish the re-roof. Everything went like clockwork, and Rick was very helpful in coordinating with the solar contractor. After the job Rick came back for a walkthrough before presenting the invoice. The work had been done perfectly, and the new roof is beautiful. Despite the fact that there were extra stanchions to waterproof and an air conditioner to work around, the invoice price was exactly the amount originally quoted. The price was quite reasonable considering it is a 3500 sq ft. house plus a shed in the canyon, and we used extra-cost Cool Series shingles.

It went very well. The job was done in avery short time and when I asked for a bill he said he was in this area anyway and this was small quick fix. You don't find that anymore now in these days. I was very pleased.

Rick was prompt for the appointment for an estimate, his written bid was professional and in line with the other two bids we got. His extremely hard working crew was friendly, very professional and cleaned up everyday while they worked. He does not require a deposit and accepts payment after the job is done. I highly recommend this company.

We contacted RC Roofing as a result of reading the favorable reviews on Angie's list. We were not disappointed. The owner, Rick Clark, responded promptly and assessed the work to be done in a professional manner. He provided an estimate promptly, which, although not the lowest of the three estimates we received, was in line with our expectations. He was up-front about the possibility of an increase in the cost, based on the amont of wood repair work which might have to be done. Having signed the contract with him, the work was started in short order. The job was completed in two days, in spite of the rework required to the done. His crew of four did an exceptionally capable job, made sure that everything was properly cleaned up at its com[pletion.I would have no hesitation in employing Rick's services in the future .

GREAT! I had called other roofers not on Angie's List and didn't even get a call back! (2) Frustrated I joined Angie's List to see if what they said was true. Received a call within the hour from RC Roofing, Rick, the owner came out the next day to give me an estimate. It took a couple of days to get the detailed estimate. I did get another estimate as I had no idea what this should cost. Took a before picture to show me that the flashing was not up to code and was raised allowing the bees access to this area.I also had 4 broken tiles and some that had not had been put up properly. This was at the highest peak of my 2 1/2 story home. They showed up promptly, did the work and brought down the honey cone to show me! Took pictures to show me what they had done. Rick was wonderful. He was very professional and always on time. In giving his estimate, was very specific about what needed replacing and what they could do and the price. Then, when they removed the existing roof and found a few more issues, he called with estimates and to get approval for all additional work needed. They finished on time and we were very impressed by how clean our property was after they left. They cleared up everything. The new roof and new woodwork look fantastic. We are very happy with his work.

Mr. Clark responded right away to my request for a proposal. His proposal was clear and complete. I did not hire RC Roofing Inc. for the job because his bid was considerably more than other roofing contractors.

Rick is very punctual, professional, and easy to understand. He maintained good communication with my wife who took point on this project. The work was completed exactly as described. The service and work exceeded our expectations. As odd as it may sound strangers have offered compliments on our new roof. I strongly recommend RC Roofing.

Rick had a great crew at my house. Professional, thoughtful and mindful of weather. You wouldn't think you'd have to be in August in Poway, but a freak summer storm came up. The foreman was careful to not have any extra roof exposed in case in rained. Thinking ahead? Awesome. Would gladly use Rick and his guys again. Have recommended them to friends.

They have all turned out very well. They have done a wonderful job and I have even had them re-roof my home as well. They have everything from torch down roof, shingle, and membrane flat-roofs. They have always done a very good job, are clean, and stay true to their estimates. They have been accurate on their recommendations for what we needed to do and to stay within our budget.

At the beginning there was some discussion on how much of the roof should undergo a complete redo. Rick the owner, gave me quotes for the whole roof, the whole roof less the garage, and a quote for the south side of the roof along with replacing broken tile on other areas. Rick recommended the last option which I also decided to go with. We had some discussions about the warranty both length and coverage since there was this constant threat from golf ball damage and finally agreed on a ten year warrantee and my cost for an annual inspection and tile repair. The work started immediately after we agreed to contract terms. It took overall about three days to complete and everything was done on time and the workers and work was done professionally. Rick took an old tile to the supplier to find a good color match rather than just using the old tiles ID and thus matched the color extremely well. The work area and yard around the house were all cleaned up. So far the roof has been only tested by light rain but I expect it to be leak free.

It look good. The price was great and the work is great also!
