I ended up not using the deal they were honest with me and said my roof needed more then repairs, it needed to be replaced.

He is great. Honest...he stated that there is no need to do anything yet...perhaps in 3-4 years. His behavior and attitude matched ALL the other reviews that I read prior to his arrival.

Rick was great. The crew did a wonderful job and was very punctual. They not only repaired the leak that I was aware of but also repaired two other leaks they found. Rick noted that the original roof was under-engineered for the amount of flow and created a new pan that would hold the large amount of water coming from three roof lines that converge. The only improvement would be in cleanup - I still have a rope that is hanging off the roof from when they had to tarp the roof. The crew did not clean up all the mess but overall I am still very happy with the outcome and would gladly use again.

The service was fine. The workers were fine. They were prompt. I haven't had any leaks since.

I have complete trust in Rick. He is very competent and really goes out of his way to be helpful. He did a flat roof on an apartment building for me many years ago, and it still has not leaked.

The owner was great...not pushy......thorough written estimate. Workers were VERY professional and hard working.

Rick Clark is a master roofer who is also very personable, intelligent and honest (a trifecta I've found that is rare in this profession). He has continued to repair a roofing project that resulted in many leaks, aggravations and small claims court appearances (which we won but agreed not to mention the negligent roofing company in Angie's--shows what power Angie's has today!). His workers are professional, skilled, polite, and punctual. I would recommend him without any reservation. After four roofing companies in 20 years, RC Roofing is absolutely the best.

Rick the owner came on time he was very pleasant and very honest. He assessed the job and told us that we could handled it by ourselves. He could redo the skylights, however all it really needed was just a minor repair, which my husband can do. Rick was honest, professional and responsive. The service was fine. They were very prompt, they did a good, and the one thing that they did which was a surprise, was that when they finished the job, where they replaced the shingles wouldn't be seen, they put other color shingles. I let it go, because that time it was done. You can't see it, but why didn't they use the same colored shingles, but they didn't tell me until after they had done the job. They should have said that they didn't have the same color shingles from the beginning. The price was very reasonable. I checked around, and they were the best price wise. They did the repair, and it seemed to be good.

Do yourself a favor and get a quote from RC Roofing before you hire another roofer. Rick was prompt, professional and quoted a price ~$8k less than my original quote. He arrived at the stated time, quoted the job quickly and stood by everything he promised. He had great reviews on Angie's List, so I went with him and have absolutely no regrets. I had a number of projects that needed attention and Rick addressed each of them efficiently and at a very reasonable price. Rick's crew arrived on schedule and started immediately. Rain was forecast for the following day, but the foreman (Edgar) promised that they would not leave until everything was dried in and ready for any weather. That's exactly what they did and they finished before dark, but I had the strong sense that darkness would not have stopped them from finishing what needed to be done. After the rain passed, they returned and finished the multiple projects in one day. I had a few minor cleanup items, but Rick scheduled one of his crew to address those promptly. I work in project management on large projects and appreciate someone who just "takes care of it" without wanting to quote every little thing as a change in scope. Rick sized up the job, gave a good estimate that included incremental costs for things that would likely be uncovered after the demo. There were no surprises and he will be my first call if I ever need roofing services in the future.

The breezeway roofing replacement was particularly challenging because it abuts the house and garage, and the old roofing leaked along the seams on the edge. The repair needed to be done so that water would not be able to get into the walls, but rather only drain to the gutter. As part of this job, flashing needed to go up the side of the walls and interlock with the siding; since this was difficult to reach, they painted all of this flashing so that I wouldn't have to do it--very helpful! The outbuilding was more straightforward, a total replace of the plywood and roofing for the porch and a small area patch for the carport in back. In additions to a clean and neat looking finished product, I was most happy with the fact that they started the work when they said, and it took no longer than the initial estimate (1 day). Too often I've had contractors say a job will take a few days and then it just drags on and on... not so with RC Roofing. This was much appreciated. Also, the 2-man crew who did the work were friendly and professional and set right to work when they arrived.

The job was done ahead of schedule. One crew removed the old shingles and the roofers installed the new materials. The job was done quickly and they did a good job with the clean up. The owner was good to work with and said no money was needed up front. No payment until we were happy with the job. A good company to work with, plus they had the lowest bid out of four estimates.

Since I had RC Roofing do work for me before I called them again for this job. Rick was able to work with me and the solar contractor to make what at first seemed pretty complicated work out very well. First he gave me options and recommendations and assured me that coordination on the solar install could be worked out. He was right and as it turned out the roof was finished just in time for the solar system to be delivered. Working with Rick and his crew is a very positive experience. Rick really does go the extra mile to be sure that the job is done right. I am quite impressed with the new roof and the benefits it provides. I can tell that the house stays cooler because of the new roof and the PVC has a lifetime warranty.

From start to finish the removal and replacing of the tile roof was nothing short of excellent. Rick provided a very competitive bid and explained everything that needed to done. He was open, honest, and down-to-earth. The tile supplier was very helpful and dropped off two sets of tile so we could make an informed decision of tile color. Rick coordinated with a solar power company and his team worked to provide the requirements of the solar equipment. The roofers arrived early and did not stop work until the work day was over. The job was finished in four and a half days and the workers cleaned up every day. Rick and his team were very professional.

Although having our house re-roofed is not something that I was eager to do, RC Roofing made it a good experience from initial contact to final completion. Rick looked over the roof and explained that the shingles had severe cracking after only 16 years. He suggested that I file a claim with the manufacturer. I followed up with the manufacturer. They inspected the roof and are refunding a pro-rated amount per the 40 year shingle warranty. Rick presented us with a step-by-step proposal which he explained in detail. The price was right and his Anjie's List reviews were excellent, so we selected RC Roofing. The entire process took 3 days; one day for tear off and 2 days to put on the new roofing. Rick kept us informed of progress along the way and his employees were courteous and respectful of our property. Rick also took the time to show me the damage that had occurred from the old roof leaking and explained how they would be repairing it. One of our window screens was damaged but RC paid for a new one. During Rick's final inspection a couple of small issues were pointed out and resolved right then. A few days later we noticed that our furnace flue had come loose near the furnace and RC sent a man out right away to fix it. We will recommend RC Roofing to our friends and neighbors.

Rick and his crew were awesome from start to finish. They came on time, worked hard with attention to detail (even in brutal heat), communicated effectively with us, and cleaned up afterward. Rick actually evaluated the roof on this house for us before we bought it. He gave us an early estimate that allowed us to negotiate with the sellers. He then worked with us on the timing of the roof replacement so that his crew was able to start work on the new roof just days after we closed escrow. His crew also coordinated with other crews that we had working on the house (tree trimmers and people removing rodents and cleaning the attic).

Rick is the most honest contractor I have ever dealt with. He did exactly what he said he would do and exactly when he said he would do it. He erred on his estimate because he forgot that I had told him that the house had the original shake roof on it. It took a lot longer for them to remove the shingles that were individually nailed to the support beams of the house. I offered to pay extra for the extra amount he had to pay to have them removed. He said "No, it was his mistake." How often does that happen? No add-ons for anything. My neighbors were very impressed with the quality of work. My retired next door neighbor watched them working and said they replaced every shingle that wasn't perfect. Rick wouldn't accept 1 penny until all the work was done and I was 100% satisfied. Well, I'm more than satisfied! I recommend him to everyone and wish I could give him an A++.

I was very happy with the entire process. The free estimate was very timely, and Rick explained the various options and their pros and cons without pushing me to buy any particular add-ons. The process of removing the old roof (three layers) and installing the new roof took only a day and half and was done very efficiently. The work crews were courteous, friendly, and good about cleaning up. There were no problems along the way, and the finished work looks terrific.

He was FABULOUS! There was no charge for the inspection and fortunately we had no damage. I almost wish we had, so that we could use his services. He could not have been nicer and more professional. We highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

Judy and I found Rick of RC Roofing to be totally professional in every way. His workers were courteous, efficient, neat, and thorough. The new roof was completed in two days. His was the lowest bid.

I called RC Roofing on a Monday morning as I had a leak in my roof and needed to get it fixed before it turned into something larger. I spoke with the receptionist and shared the details and then Rick (owner of the business) called me back within a couple of hours to discuss the problem. He was very professional so I asked him to come out to give an estimate. Rick came over later the same day and within 15 minutes he had identified the issue and offered to either train me how to fix it (it was a small hole) or he was more than happy to do the work for me. I opted to have the professional take care of it and a few days later, Rick had fixed the problem. I could see the hole through my bedroom window and now I can't even tell where the problem area was. Rick also performed a full roof evaluation and told me I was in good shape for years to come. I will definitely keep his contact info on file for future work as he was not only professional but also a genuine, down-to-earth good guy. I highly recommend his services.

They were excellent, punctual, and clean. They were fast a well. I would definitely use them again for any roofing issue.

Work was scheduled on 4/22/14. RC Roofing showed up on time and ready to proceed. We walked the roof and Rick explained some for the problem areas as well as suspect areas they would be focusing on. Time frame was ~3-4 hours and they completed it all on time. It just rained this weekend (heavily), and no leaks were experienced. Great Job.

Everything went smoothly and amazingly quick for such a big job. Our house has very limited access for mechanical loaders so everything had to be carried in and out by hand. The crew showed up exactly when scheduled. Since it was forecast to rain Rick, as in RC, put a second crew on the job to get us covered up quickly. They finished up three days earlier than estimated. The cleanup was excellent and not a single plant was damaged. The finished product is beautiful. We had a shake roof and wanted to duplicate it but the City of Carlsbad would not allow that. We choose Cedarlite 600 and it came out looking not only like shake but better than shake. RC is outstanding.

Their work was great and it has not leaked since.
