Great! They identified a bee hive we did not know about and immediately called me to walk through possible solutions.

Mark was great. We are new owners of this house and because it had been serviced two months prior to the visit of R&D, Mark charged me less than the start-up rate quoted on the phone. ( I have only used their service once, but have signed up for regular pest control from them.)

Very plesed with the service. We had spiders in the house and have not seen any since the service was completed. Matthew was very polite and punctual and it appears his work was very thorough.

I did need some return service after the initial treatment. They did a good job responding to the services I needed done. There was some turnover and it took a little bit to figure out who to follow up with but once that was resolved the service was excellent.

Excellent as usual! They do this about once every 2 months and we almost never have any intruders into the house or any problems outside. If we see any ant or spider activity at all then all we have to do is call them and they send someone out immediately to perform another treatment for free. Mark is just great! He calls us a day in advance so we can make sure that our courtyard gate is unlocked the next morning. He is always on time, very polite and efficient. Once we had an invasion of tiny bugs in our pantry and he came inside and helped my wife empty the pantry and find the culprit which was a bag of rice which she forgot about that she had tucked away a while ago. The bugs managed to make a hole in the bag and were helping themselves to the contents. He is very knowledgeable. I have lived in the San Diego area for over 30 years and have tried several pest services. This is by far the best ant and pest control company that I have ever used. Their prices are very affordable too. Stop your search now and use these guys!

I had called to do some research and had a wonderful conversation with Dave. He knowledgeably answered all my questions and concerns about their service. I have a dog and some herbs and veggies I wanted to protect, plus, I wanted to be as environmentally responsible as possible. Dave explained that R & D uses the least toxic products possible, and that they wouldn't do more than was necessary to control the insects and keep them out of our house. I really appreciate that, and was sold on their service even before he came out. But what really made me happy was how effective the treatment was. We've had no ants since Dave came. We can also call between now and the next time he comes if we see any ants, and Dave will come back free of charge. It's not often that you get exactly what is advertised these days, or such professional, courteous service. And so much great information. We're very happy! Thanks, Dave!

Friendly and professional. Efficient.

We've been customers of R&D for over 12 years. I first started with them because of gopher problems. At the time, they had a special treatment that only they were licensed for in San Diego. The owners have science degrees, one in entomology, so I figured they knew a lot about insects. Originally, the owners serviced our house, but as they grew, new staff began to arrive. They are obviously well trained and taught to be polite and helpful. For instance, they always knock on the door to see if you are home so that you will be aware of that they are treating the yard. And they will always ask how things are with pests and if you have any concerns. I especially appreciate the use of pet-safe and fruit-tree-safe treatments. Since we started using R&D, we've never had ants in our house or even on our patio. Their philosophy is to prevent the ants and other troublesome insects from causing human problems, but to recognize that total eradication is not beneficial or even practical. Trust me, this approach is WAY better than the large corporate pest control treatment we had prior to that. I highly recommend R&D pest control for their effective and great customer services.

I had serious ants in the house, and spiders followed the ants! Dave came and not only exterminated, but also took the time to explain everything to me. Having a toddler, I didn't want to use super toxic products. I was assured that this was safe for everyone except for those pesky insects:)

I called and they provided same day service after I explained that we were all be bitten by spiders! This is the most professional exterminator service I have ever worked with. They call ahead to let you know when they will arrive. The leave you detailed documentation as to what was found and how it was treated. They provide you with an every other month newsletter detailing what season we are in and what pests are coming in season. They are very professional and dress in uniform with name and company name visible. They provide every other month pest control service and billing. They also offer bonuses. We found our forever exterminator service company!!

My neighbor recommended them. He just comes, there's no bugs, and I'm not bothered. They're very personable and professional. They come when they say they're going to come. If they can't, they call. I've not had any bugs since. He said if I had bugs, they'd come back and spray for free.

Within a few days all of the ants stopped showing up looking for food. They were everywhere!

We moved into a new home in a new neighborhood and the development is still under construction. No one has landscaping yet....just dirt. Mid-July, we had a stream of ants coming from our patio through the house to our kitchen trashcan. We bought some ant killer and made sure that we had no food scraps in our trashcans and it worked for a day, then the ants found a different route. We tried several "do it yourself" remedies and realized we needed a professional. I spoke a few friends as well as consulted Angie's list. While R&D recommended that we get on a monthly or quarterly service, we opted for a one time treatment to see how it goes. I called at 4pm in the afternoon and the techician was out the next day. The left the bill on the front door along with the explanation of what they found. There were several colonies in different parts of our yard around our home. Due to the heat and the lack of food because of the earth movers, they were driven into our home. R&D told us that within 3 days, all ants should be gone. There was a noticible reduction in the ants that evening and by the next day they were gone. There was no noxious smell, the spray was completely outside. I appreciate that it was non-invasive and effective the treatment was. Should we ever have an issue with any bugs again, R&D will be the one we call.

I didn't have good customer services with them at all! I tried to schedule to an appointment, let a message on their answering machine took a day in a half before they got back to me. Finally schedule an appt for a Thursday 9;30 am. At 9:30 they were a no show, At 10:00 am they were a no show. They finally called at 10:30 am. stating they got their appts missed up but would make it at 11:00 am. I told them not to come, I would never be calling them. again.

Went great. Treated outside the house and within a day the ants were gone from inside the house. Great job.

I called these guys way back and I've been on their quarterly program for a while now. The tech that serviced my house originally knew the bugs I was describing over the phone. No one else I inquired with could do that. I've never had any issues with service whatsoever. Great company.

Since Dave of R&D Pest Servcices has been caring for our San Diego home and yard, the spiders have disappeared! We used to have webs outside over everything - such a relief when you sit down in an outside chair to know it isn't already occupied! We had ants coming to the home via mysterious and unknown venues, that has ended thanks to regular care from R&D Pest Services. Dave was on call and came over at the time of our few inside infestations to take care of business. Above all, they are friendly, take pride in their work, and do a great job. Highly recommended! Love that they are a local business too!

Don't know what else to tell, that is the whole story.

We had spiders on our patio and around our doors. Also had ants around and in our house. Since using this service we are no longer bothered in this way. When I called R. and D. Pest Services Dave came out within 24 hours. He was very prompt and very professional.

After the first service in November,, the ants were gone,,, I signed up for every two month service,, they show up on time, I don't have to be home and the work is done If i see a bug or ant they will come out within the two months and treat again at no charge I have not had to do this at all my neighbor has had their service for over a year and is SUPER satisfied. She HATES any kind of bug and they take great care of her all the time I would recommend R&D to any of my friends He even recommended something for me to do to keep the mice out of my garage, so I don't have to have mice poison all around. So Far So Great, no mice either

We have had our Pest Services with R&D since we moved into the house over 7 years ago. They are professional, thorough, and a great company to work with. We have never had a major pest issue in all that time. I would highly recommend them.
