Description of Work: Installed African Mahogany hardwood floor in 4 rooms. Hard to schedule installation, no return of phone calls, no show when appts where made. Floor Installed in two phases (two rooms at a time). We were told we needed to get the floors leveled and that they had a contractor that would charge us approximately $500.00. Phase one leveling cost $900.00 and Phase two cost $500.00 (was quite shocked - not expected). Phase one of laying the hardwood floor went fairly well. Getting phase two scheduled kept being delayed or scheduled and the crew would not show up. The owner did not respond to phone calls upon calling several times. Sometimes when an appt was made, they canceled, and instead of calling, they would email me because she knew I would be very unhappy. In the meanwhile not knowing I had an email, I waited for the crew to show up. | |Phase two was a complete utter debacle and the installation was deplorable. Again scheduling issues were at the forefront. The person that laid Phase one had hurt himself so they sent another crew. The floor is tongue and groove and gaps were left between boards. In some cases, you could see all the way to the slab. We had loose boards and a board that had to be removed because it was delaminating. So they were called back and the owner came out to see what the work looked like and tried to tell me that the wood would expand and magically fix itself. But he did agree that they need to come back out and fill the gaps and fix the loose boards and remove the delaminating board which should have never been installed. So getting this scheduled was another nightmare. When they finally came back they filled some of the gaps and then they cleaned the floor before the caulking dried and left a horrible haze all over the wood. They injected glue under the loose boards and removed the one bad board. I again called the owner and they eventually sent the crew back and he hand wiped the wood with just a cloth and it looked a little better but I still explained that I was not happy and I could still see the haze and there were still gaps in between the boards. So I called the owner and was quite upset that they were not resolving these issues. So they sent the same guy back and I found him staining the gaps to look the same color and less noticeable. At this point, we did our own research and started caulking the gaps ourselves because we were not getting any response back from the owners and wasn't convinced that they knew how to resolve the problem. | |In addition, they were contracted to install baseboards in about 1100 linear feet in our home and did a very unprofessional looking job. They nailed the 4 inch baseboards to the wall in random places. They were uneven, uncaulked, and the nails were visible. | |We ended hiring painters to come and fix the baseboards, which was another unexpected cost. In addition, we contacted Joe from Joe's Hardwood Floors to come look at the gaps, haze, and squeaky boards. We found Joe to be so helpful. He returned my calls immediately, showed up 2 days later and was appalled by what he saw. He was able to resolve all my problems for only $300.00 by the next week. They even fixed scratches that are now appearing on the floor. | |I do not recommend Prestige Floors! This project took us over 6 months to resolve and still have two rooms of flooring that were not installed correctly (there should have been no need to caulk between boards). |

Description of Work: After a leak destroyed about 100 of the 450 square feet of hardwood floor I have in my townhouse, Prestige came in and did a great job tying in the old floor (no longer available) with a new product from the same manufacturer. Guillermo did the install - he is certified in the product and the install is flawless. The floor was refinished and stained by this company about a year and a half ago (also a good experience). The stain on the new section of floor isn't a perfect match but Rob (the owner of Prestige) has offered to come back and see if there is anything they can do to get it closer. Two other people told me it couldn't be done - but I'm happy with the decision I made to not redo the entire downstairs because of the work they did. Prestige also took care of removing a section of hardwood floor from my kitchen. The floor was glued to the slab so this was no easy task. I was very happy with the end result which was a nice, smooth floor ready for tile

Description of Work: They sanded down our deeply faded and scratched hardwood floors in a rental property and refinished them.

Description of Work: Prestige Floors replaced several large areas of oak flooring, manufactured transitions, and then refinished all the oak floors in a 1942 house.

Description of Work: I have had Prestige do my floor several times. They were on time, did a good job and I felt the price was right. The owner is a bit of a jerk, but I had an old house and had to sand down several layers (5) of linoleum to get to the floors.

Description of Work: They removed several layers of linoleum in my 900 square foot home and installed hardwood floors.

Description of Work: INSTALLED 250 SQ FT OF 1/2 IN RED OAK WOOD PLANK FLOORING, 230 SQ FT OAK MOLDING, LACED IN PLANKS IN TWO PLACES TO REPAIR DAMAGED FLOORS. ALSO REFINISHED 2 ROOMS & 2 HALLWAYS AND APPLIED 3 COATS OF SEMI-GLOSS POLYURETHANE.
