Everything was done properly. When we called them, maybe it was a slow time, but they were there within 2 hours to fix our garage door.

Precision was great. They came out quickly identified the problem and fixed it in no time. They evaluated our garage door and informed us that it was a "good" door. The orininal installers did not use large enough rollers to support the door. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

They were terrible. Overall, I didn't like them and I went with someone else. He wasn't any good. I was just very unhappy with it. I didn't like the package. They charged me too much. They didn't show up on time. They didn't fix the job properly and I had to get someone else to finish it.

Called on a Sunday and they sent someone out within a few hours; unfortunately was unable to achieve any repair at that time (so did not charge me). Came back the next day and was able to jerry-rig a way to manually lower the door to secure the garage, although not get my car out. Went the extra mile to secure a new garage door and installation date for 2 days later (sooner than the 3 weeks originally told would be possible), and while that ended up having to be pushed back an other day, it was installed on Thursday. It looks great, and works fine. They were able to salvage my old garage door opener and use it for this new door, which saved me additional costs.

Saw some things on garage door that concerned me and thought it needed some regular maintenance. Coby came out and actually fixed a few things free of charge, tuned up the garage, and gave me a comprehensive review of the parts that need attention. I paid for the 50 tune up and got my moneys worth. Will be calling when I need a new door.

Very well. We moved into the new home and on the third day, a wheel roller broke leaving the door stuck open and at an angle. We needed service ASAP and Precision Door Service responded the very next day. Two techs fixed everything! We are both very pleased with the new very quiet door openers and the operation of the doors.

They were on time. They were polite. They did a good job. They had good products.

The gentleman I worked with was just amazingly knowledgeable not only about how to install garage doors and maintain garage doors and build garage doors. He diagnosed both my problems almost instantaneously. One was sort of a freakish, unusual problem. They don't make the part anymore, so the only way to fix it is to 7:09.5 or modify it. But it wasn't just a case of 7:14.2 or take off the busted part and put in a new one. This required a little imagination. The guy was just knowledgeable beyond all belief and courteous. If I have another garage door problem, I am going to call these guys up. it was just perfect in every way.

Great! tech showed me exactly what was wrong, and what had to be done. Offered a number of solutions. I went with a complete replacement as the old unit was quite old and not serviceable.

Had problem with garage door mysteriously opening back up after closing all the way. We had used Precision Door previously to have garage door opener installed on another garage door a few years ago (which I continue to be happy with), so I thought they would be a good choice to have diagnose/fix the problem with the reversing door. We had Precision out once before for the same problem with the mystery reversing door within the past few months. The technician couldn't duplicate the problem, so he left (no charge!). The problem has intermittently recurred since then, so we called again for another evaluation. This time 4 guys showed up, and told my wife the springs, center bearing, cables, and rollers were bad. They could fix the spring for $450 (1 yr warranty) or do a complete overhaul, essentially replacing everything but the motor for $699 ("lifetime" warranty). It took me 5 minutes to find the owners manual on the internet and to troubleshoot the problem. Adjusting the "Down Travel" slightly fixed the problem completely. This took all of a 1/2 turn of a screw!!! Garage door now closes snug to the floor without banging closed at the end...and stays down!. For the "Service Call," we were charged $50 PLUS another $10 for "labor or fuel charge," just for these guys to try to rip us off. I would give them an "F" but to be fair, they didn't damage anything. We won't have Precision Garage Door Service out to our home again!.

Response was outstanding, Larry the tech explained everything he was doing, and showed me specifically what the problem was and gave me a number of options. When I chose a new unit, they not only gave me the angie's list credit, but also added a belt driven upgrade no charge. The Technicians were outstanding, and I was left with a new system, correctly installed this time, and one that I know will last and will be supported. I recommend this company highly. A+ job, technicians, and reasonable prices.

The parts came in as expected and we were happy with the work. I felt the pricing was reasonable. I felt it was quality work and materials.

It didn't happen. Appointment was scheduled for between 10:00 AM and 12 noon. At 1:30 PM the technician called to say he would try to be over by 4:30 PM. When he failed to show by 4:30 PM I cancelled appointment. Five minutes later Precision calls to say they can have another technician over in ten minutes. I declined. Between poor communication and a terrible receptionist, experience felt more like I was buying a used car. I'm glad I passed as I could sense that two small items were going to cost more than they should, the way you see repair shops operate on Sixty Minutes. I'm glad I trusted my intuition by canceling.

They repaired the doors very nicely, efficiently and within the estimate and everything else. I had a garage door that was stuck and I couldn't pull it down and they came out and fixed it for me and tuned everything up. They were prompt, efficient and very pleasant to deal with. I don't remember the price was but I wasn't shock, horrified, surprised or dismayed and it seemed reasonable for the work done. They got here within good reason amount of time and got here when they said they'd do. They did keep me apprise during the day because I had an appointment later that day and they let me know what their progress was and if they stopped, they would be a little bit delayed and they would let me know, so I appreciated that.

When they came over they told us it was not covered since it was not the springs, but the motor that was the problem. He was right. I told him we were not happy with them last time and thought they had ripped us off, but he told us that they had a new owner who was trying to set things right for us. They really stand by their work. They put in a new motor and new doors for us. The doors are noisier since they are aluminum, so they offered us a solution for $100 and a solution for $350, but I did not wan to spend that much. Because they wanted me to be happy, they gave me the $100 solution, a bracket, for free. The aluminum doors are a little noisy, but they are so much lighter than the wood. If the motor break I can lift it manually. It will also be less maintenance and was a lot cheaper. They did a good job installing them and showed up early. Everything went as expected. They were also very prompt when I called them back.

He is fantastic. He was extremely quick and got here right away to fix the problem. We had another company come out that said the issue was impossible to fix and would cost a fortune. I went and called Precision and he was able to repair it for a fraction of the cost. He was very personable and kind. The door works perfectly now. We would recommend them.

They have been here twice recently. They were here on Dec. 13, 2012, as we were experiencing trouble again with the garage door. Same old thing - when we tried to close it, it went down about 3/4ths of the way, then stopped, and went back up again. We called, and they agreed to have someone come out, as we had no idea what we'd do when darkness came. Two people came, and said the entire door needed a "tune-up." They said the tune-up came with a lifetime guarantee. They did not tell us this guarantee did not include the opener (motor) itself. We appreciated Precision coming on short notice, BUT this $759.85 job lasted just 4 weeks. The door started doing exactly the same thing. When we tried to close it, it came down partway, stopped, and went right back up. We called Precision yet again. The tech who came was very nice, and actually, the door (wouldn't you know?) properly closed while he was here. He said to call if it started acting up again, (We knew from experience it WOULD) and we would then need a new opener motor that would cost $599.00. My husband has never liked the brand they use, Marantec, so we decided to start all over -- the constant repairing has gotten to be too much for us! We called another company, and had them install a BETTER opener at a cost of $343.00! It works like a charm! We've moved on from Precision!

The service turned out great. I could not believe that one gentleman that came out and fixed everything. He knew exactly what he was doing, was efficient, and got it taken care of. I was very appreciative of their service.

I actually had to call them back because they weren’t adjusted correctly. They had to come back out and readjust them. I think they are very high priced and I don’t know if I would ever use them again. I was in a bine at the time and they were the only ones quickest to come out. They also quoted me the price of a new opener that was about four times more than the cost that I could purchase it for. It was right under the six month warranty when I called them to let them know the adjustment was wrong and I needed them to come back out. What made me angry was when they said they could not answer if there would be a charge for them to come out if the part was not covered under warranty.

The work turned out very, very good. They arrived right on time. verything worked fine.

This was a bad experience as I observed the tech seemed very "green", was unsure of how to do the job, had to call someone twice to know how to proceed. Although I had checked the sensor(as per the manual) and found it working well. He told me he had to take the wiring down and put in new wires to test it. He did so and the sensor worked fine- and he wanted to formally install the new wires, which I refused as a ruse for more money- the original wires were OK. He tried to test the opener without plugging it in and couldn't figure it out. The most frustrating behavior was his condemnation of my whole system, telling me it was cheap, could not give me any warranty on the work as the door was a "fail" on the check list, it would never holdup (said I'd get a max of 7 yrs. out of it - it is 9 yrs.old). Before he even fixed the door to just open (my original job request), he wrote up the estimate for the $500+ work really needed to bring the door up to par. He finally checked the trolley!

We were please that Josh Price of Precision Door Service was able to arrive ahead of our original appointment after calling to confirm the earlier time. I pointed out our problem with the garage door and Josh was careful to check everything thoroughly. He replaced both garage door springs, the plastic center sleeve and fine tuned everything so that we now have a fully functional two car garage door and opener. Josh Price was very courteous, professional and skilled. It was obvious to me how much he enjoyed his job and working for Precision Door Service. My wife and I plan to upgrade our garage door to a carriage house door in the future and will be contacting Precision Door Service again. Thanks Josh for the great job done.

Very prompt and timely response. Recommended not replacing wood door, since this was not needed.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THE OPERATION OF THE DOOR WHEN THE REPAIRMAN COMPLETED THE JOB. ALTHOUGH, I CALLED BECAUSE I NEEDED TWO SPRINGS REPLACED, THE REPAIRMAN TALKED ME INTO REPLACING ALL THE ROLLERS. BECAUSE THE DOOR WAS OVER 10 YEARS OLD, I ASSUMED THAT THE WORK WAS NEEDED. I REALLY DO NOT KNOW IF THE WORK REALLY NEEDED TO BE DONE OR NOT. I CAN ONLY REPORT THAT THE GARAGE DOOR DID WORK BETTER AND WAS MUCH QUIETER WHEN HE WAS DONE. I AM ULTIMATELY HAPPY WITH THE WORK AND WOULD CALL THIS COMPANY BACK AGAIN.
