Phil was great. My mom had a long list of nagging jobs and he did them all perfect and in record time. I was particularly impressed that he was able to fix her sliding glass door. The thing was impossible to open and close. We tried having it fixed by others and nothing worked. Phil worked a miracle on that one. I would call him again anytime I needed to have additional work done.

We have several young grandchildren, who could easily push open the patio and bedroom doors, so we were concerned for their safety. Phil repaired 3 door lock mechanisms and installed new wood panels at the base of the patio door. The professional wood panels improved the appearance of the door as well as the integrity of the wood paneling. The wood is exposed to sun and rain all year round. He saved me money by advising me to replace an existing door rather than replacing window panes and installing a plexiglass shield on the exterior for protection.

Great. Phil was prompt, friendly, respectful (to me, as my husband was not home), and super efficient. He went about his business rapidly and clearly explained what he was doing, and then, quickly, fixed the problems. Phil installed the RO with ease, neatly, cleanly and I felt safe enough to run out to a meeting and leave him alone in the house for a bit. We won't call anyone other than Phil for jobs around the house now -- as a landlord he understands how to get things done efficiently, as a technician, he does it right.

I would highly recommend Phil. He contacted us right away and gave us an estimate range based on our description of the work over the phone. The estimate was fair so we set an appointment up. Phil was on time, knew what he was doing and cleaned everything up after the job. He completed the job UNDER the estimate. One other thing, He saw that there was a gap between the bathtub faucet and the wall and advised that it should be sealed to avoid water damage. After he left, we noticed that he had sealed the gap with caulking at no charge. We will use Phil again.

This was the second time Phil had done work for us. We were very pleased with the work he had done for us in the past, and he was just as great this time.. He arrived promptly, and began working right away. He worked very quickly and did a thoroughly professional job. He worked neatly and cleaned up afterwards.. As he was working, he checked with us to make sure he was doing things the way we wanted them. When he had done work for us in the past, he provided suggestions regarding the type of medicine cabinet that would look best in our bathroom. We purchased the type of cabinet he suggested, and it looks great.

Phil was punctual, professional and personable. His work was excellent, and I will definitely use his services again.

Phil returned my call promptly, explained his pricing and made an appointment for a couple of days later. He was on time and explained the work he would do and the estimated time it would take. He went to work immediately and did a great job. He is professional, knowledgable, efficient and friendly. I will definitely be using his handyman service again.

We were unable to get our schedules together, but he helped me over the phone in assessing the situation so that I could fix it myself. He sounded like what a good handyman would be. I would definitely use him for future services.

Great work on kitchen light

As usual Phil arrived at the agreed time. He is always very professional and friendly. Offers good advice with each problem we encounter in our older home. As always he makes sure the job is done right and to our satisfaction. Last year he also installed a venting fan over the stove. Good job.

I needed to repair it quickly and called Phil. He returned my call immediately and I described the problem and he knew just what it was. He gave me an estimate over the phone of approximately $275.00 but told me until he actually saw the damage he could assess the actual cost. We made plans for him to meet me at the property two days later. He was very punctual and professional. He looked at the damage and gave me two options, a cheaper option or a more involved option that would not involve patching. I chose the more involved option that would fix the problem forever. He said it would take three hours so I left him at the property and he called me about three hours later to tell me it was fixed and that he left the bill on the counter. It was less than estimated ($207.00) and the job was done perfectly. He also gave me a $20.00 discount for being a first time customer. Also he left and purchased supplies for me so I wouldn't have to track down supplies. He cleaned up so well I couldn't tell he was there. I was very pleased to have found an excellent handyman.

Phil was great. Very punctual, responsive and professional. He has great prices and he was able to patch up the drywall in under an hour. Very efficient. I would use him again for my handyman needs.

Phil responded back to my inquiry very quickly. He offered to get the job done sooner than I expected, but I had to coordinate with my tenant. Phil contacted the tenant directly and made the appointment based on tenant availability. He didn't charge extra for parts and he provided the receipts from Home Depot to prove that. We spoke about the drawer front and I mentioned it had previously been glued. He said that he would look and if needed, provide support cross piece of wood and would screw it in from behind. While at the house, he also repaired another drawer front that was loose for no additional charge. Phil was very pleasant to speak with and right away mentioned a discount for new customers. All went well and I would definitely use Phil again.

We were able to make an appointment within a short time of contacting Phil. He arrived promptly on the day of the appointment--in fact a little early. He checked out the cameras we had purchased and discussed with us the best places to install them. He then completed all of the necessary electrical connections as well as the securing of the cameras to the house. He also installed, inside the house, the timer switch that we provided for him. The work took a little less than 3 hours altogether. Everything works properly and looks neat and finished. We are happy with the results.

Our old fireplace set was rusting out, so I bought a replacement at Home Depot. I originally called a plumber from the List to install a replacement gas fireplace set, but he did not want to come from Carlsbad down to Solana Beach. I happenedd to be at my local hardware store and asked them to recommend them for the job. They pointed me to Phil, who was highly rated on the List. He was punctual, knowledgeable about fireplace sets, and explained everything that he was doing. His installation was perfect, and his charge very reasonable. I will definitely use Phil again for plumbing and other jobs, and would recommend him to others.

See above Phil has done many jobs for us, and I felt his fees were fair. He wastes no time, and makes sure it is done right. He assures us that if we are not happy he will return and make it right.

It was a complicated project, but he got it fixed beautifully. He was so competent and figured out the problem. He was very pleasant to work with. He specializes in electrical work, but also does plumbing, carpentry work, and other various handyman projects.
