Pete Morrow Plumbing

Terrible. I needed a new washing machine in our newly purchased condo but it turned out that valves were leaking and needed to be replaced. Pete Morrow came out three times, the first to look at the job, the second to do the job and the third to add insulation which he had forgotten. All theses visits were initiated by him. That evening after he put in the new valves, I noticed that one of them was leaking. As he texted me to see if he could come back to add the insulation, I texted him back and said he could and also mentioned the leak. He came back the next day and I mentioned again that the valve was leaking. He told me he had never gotten the text but he would check it out. He tightened the valve and said it wasn't leaking anymore and left. But it was still leaking and steadily got worse. The connection to,the pipe was also very loose. My husband put some plumber's thread tape on and it seemed to stop but then started again. I called and asked Pete if he would come out to fix it but he said he had been out enough times and to call an emergency plumber.. We tried to get someone that evening but were unsuccessful and we were leaving to go back to Colorado early the next morning. I called our neighbor the next morning and luckily she was able to get another plumber to come in that morning. He had to replace the valve and he told us that it had been put in incorrectly. It could have blown off and flooded our house if it hadn't been fixed right away. I wanted to give Pete a good review, as he is a very amiable fellow, but I'm afraid that the quality of his work leaves a lot to be desired and he very badly let us down.

Pete arrived on short notice and understood immediately what to do. He snaked out the toilet drain and made sure all was running smoothly. He advised us to avoid quilted toilet tissue, as this may contribute to eventual problems with the drain. Alternatively, Pete advised us to hold the flush handle down while the toilet is flushing to keep additional flow moving through the drain.

Pete is conscientious, clean, knowledgeable and very reliable. As a bonus, he also called to follow up when required. After shopping around, I would consider his pricing competitive. As a side note, the previous plumber I used was extremely crabby and slow. After spending a day with that other plumber, Pete was a positive, pleasant change.

Pete made arrangements several days in advance to come do this fairly modest job, and kept us posted on when he would arrive. He arrived on time, had the parts in hand, and installed the new faucet parts. He made sure all worked well with the new faucets. Pete has excellent craftsmanship and people skills as well.

Used Angie's List to find Pete Morrow Plumbing and owner Pete Morrow. We called on Thursday and Pete returned our call within a couple of hours and scheduled the work for Friday. Pete was on time, checked the problem, and returned later in the afternoon to complete the repair. Pete also helped us understand why the faucets seemed to be chronically leaking - pointing out the water pressure was running high going into the shower fixture. We will bring Pete back to replace the faucet valve stems in the near future. Pete was very responsive throughout, making additional calls to family members to keep them posted on how the repair was going, which were much appreciated. We always felt like we knew exactly what was going on.

Pete replaced 2 toilets for us, after one of them cracked and caused a flood. He found 2 great toilets for us and installed them quickly. We've been very happy with his work.

Very smooth. My old water heater at a rental property was leaking and needed to be replaced. Pete initially came to assess the situation but returned the next day to perform the work. Pete provided a quality water heater and all necessary parts. I thought the cost was very competitive and I liked that he obtained all necessary parts and I didn't have to go shopping for a quality water heater. I've used Pete on multiple occasions on a variety of plumbing jobs and found him to be quick, good, and responsive and his quality of work high.

All three toilets were running and were wasting lots of water so I wanted to get those fixed as soon as possible plus I had two faucets that I wanted replaced. Because of my job, it was hard to arrange service, but when I got a hold of Pete he and I worked out a time to meet. We also discussed the type of faucets I should buy (one brand vs. another) and was concious of the costs of each type. His expertise helped me to pick the best brand for the money. When he got there he got right to work and fixed the toilets and did the faucets quickly. He did recommend that a couple of "stops" be replaced, but he said we would come back to do that since he needed to stay on schedule for his next appt. which I could appreciate. When he came back, he replaced the angle stops recommended and was on time and quick. He as a friendly guy and very helpful in explaining things to a plumbing novice. I would recommend him to others.

He has done a bunch of work for us and has been great at it. He is fast. He is very good at giving advice on the telephone. He is not expensive; moreover, he tries to save us money in the way he does things and by recommending less-expensive methods and repairing things instead of replacing them. I don’t really know how to grade his pricing. We would use him again in the future if necessary.

Pete is my plumber of choice and has worked on my various projects for about 20 years. He is interested in his work, and this is best illustrated by his incredible knowledgeable of plumbing products and systems. He comes from a long family line of proud plumbers, which I find refreshing in today's environment.

Pete seemed honest and did the job quickly and efficiently. It was easy to deal with him and he was a straight shooter. I've had called him on another repair before this one and liked the quality of his work. When he said he couldn't fix the existing faucet he happened to have a decent quality Moen faucet in his truck. The price was fair and similar to what I could have purchased on my own. He charges $80/hr for service and as mentioned parts prices seemed very reasonable.

He came out in November and December for a couple of things. He didn't charge anything in December. It was absolutely excellent. He had told us earlier in the year that our water heater didn't have a proper drain hookup and that could be a problem if it developed a leak because it would drain in the house and cause a lot of damage. He fixed it and the cost was nominal. We came back around Thanksgiving and noticed that the water heater was leaking. If he hadn't fixed that, it would have been a real problem.

I called Pete at about 4:00 when water was spewing from the toilet tank and spraying all over the bathroom. It had been spraying for a couple of hours, and there was a major flood. Pete talked me through shutting off the water to the house until he could get here. He was here in 15 minutes. He isolated the problem right away and fixed it. He checked back with us later to make sure we had managed to reach our insurance company and to make sure we were alright. Pete also installed a bathtub for us on another occasion, and did a fantastic job. I now have Pete do all our plumbing work. He's reliable and charges very reasonable, fair prices.

Pete was great. He got here when he said he would. If he was ever delayed, he called to let us know. He removed our bathtub, which had a hole in it the size of Vermont, and replaced it with a new one. He set me up with a great tile guy to replace the tile that had to come off to get the tub out. He cleaned up beautifully when he was finished. He also unclogged two bathroom sinks which had been slow-moving forever, and cleaned out some grotty-looking toilets. I would definitely recommend Pete. He goes the extra mile.

Pete promptly returned my call requesting an estimate. He was very conscientious about his scheduling. He arrived on time for the estimate, which amounted to 3 hours at $75, plus parts, and $100 to replace the water regulator. Pete called the night before the install to reschedule by an hour, which was fine with us. He arrived when he said he would. He worked efficiently, got the job done in the estimated time. Everything is working fine. Wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Pete was a breath of fresh air after having to hire two other plumbers: the first who seemed in his head and the second who was in over his head and walked out on the job. Pete helped me figure out what I could do within my budget and was able to fit me into his schedule right away, as I had been left without hot water by the previous plumber. I will use him again for any plumbing needs I have in the future.

PETE IS VERY PROMPT, HELPFUL (HE RECOMMENDED PEOPLE TO WORK ON THE DAMAGE THAT THE LEAK CAUSED), AND HIS CHARGES ARE REASONABLE.
