NAtional PELLA had me set up a few weeks out. I called the local showroom. Tessa called the salesman and he had time in his day in between appointments and dropped in to see me. I signed up ASAP. I had interviewed 2 other replacement window companies and I had a friend who loved her PELLA WINDOWS and kept telling me I needed to get a BID ASAP , that I could afford them. Absolutely loving my PELLA WINDOWS I'm having installed. The showroom help with TESSA has been amazing. The SALESMAN JOHN has been more than outstanding and 5 STAR. The bid has pictures of each window and is emailed to you. Beautiful presentation. No other company has this updated software that specs out the job so clearly. John also has a printer in his car and prints everything for you ASAP. After you contract the windows, TONY the FIELD GURU of all things important, comes out to measure and prepare the order. Tony is amazing and personable. He talks you through the job and the technical particulars. PELLA is a NUMBER ONE top quality product. Because of this I was able to have some large windows updating the look in my home and reducing the cost of some areas where other companies were installing two windows. PELLA warranty is BETTER than other companies. The PELLA WINDOWS that are their VINYL are at a great price $$$$ point. Get a bid. Compare the warranty. Check the quality. + 0 moreCalled the number provided by Angies list and got an automated system asking me to answer survey questions. Called again, same problem Waited, called a third time, same number...after jumping through phone tree branches got a live person who would not answer any (even basic) questions without first requiring me to answer questions for this company. My opinion: not worth it to waste ones time with a company that has 'service' like this.

+ -1 moreTessa the Pella bidder is one smart and earnest salesperson. In total I requested 5 bidders, to look at my windows from several different companies. What a circus that was!!! Pella's price was one of the best. Also, I could see a clear interest in doing the project. Crew lead by Juan, were absolutely professional and polite and very skilled. They also were very thoughtful, there was a storm that stopped work on the 30th. They finished up on Sat. The stucco repair and texture was very professional. I love the windows, they look beautiful and work perfect. Thanks so much for providing such great service and product for me and my family!
Description of Work: From bid all the way through the process to completion, I was very happy with the company. They installed two large, new construction windows (new construction windows, because we were changing the size) in my master bath and they removed three small windows from the exterior (all interior framing and dry wall repair done by my contractor) and repaired all exterior stucco with texture. It looked fantastic. Juan and the window crew did an A +++ job.

+ 0 morePella provided full service, both materials and instillation. Others I spoke with would do installation but not materials or materials but not installation. Pella contracts with people to do their instillation but back the work. We agreed on a date for the work, when they got the material they called me to ask if I would like them to do the installation several weeks earlier than we had agreed. The installers arrived on time and were polite and courteous. They did an excellent job and cleaned up completely. What impressed me most was the installers attention to detail. While leaving an installer felt the door knob was a little loose so he retrieved his tools to fix it. UPDATE: Two weeks later. If you have a problem, one of my windows has moisture between the panes, expect a long wait on the phone to get a service rep on the line and and a two weeks delay to get a visit from a service technician.

+ 0 moreIt turned out fine and they did a good job. It was a bigger project than a normal window would be. They are high quality products but expensive. We haven't had any problems. They took care of all the details. When they came out to quote it, they had a program where I could save money if I committed within a couple of days. I personally don't really like those kinds of deals. I don't like to have to negotiate or feel I'm under time pressure. I was kind of negative on that but overall it was good. The doors are beautiful and extremely high quality; I've gotten a lot of compliments on them.
Description of Work: I had a wide window in my dining room and I wanted to replace it with French doors. It was 6 feet wide so they replaced it with French doors and two side windows. It actually involved some construction because they had to take our the wall beneath it.

Description of Work: They were extremely professional--on time, called back, gave a thorough estimate on our multi-window replacements. We had many questions and asked for several alternatives as we weren't sure what we wanted. Tessa was helpful in providing many ideas, as well as positives and negatives on our alternatives. She patiently provided the many estimates as we changed our minds. During the installation, the installer had a problem and Tessa responded immediately to my call and we had the situation taken care of immediately. In the end, we feel we have gorgeous high quality windows that will last us for many many years in our old renovated house.

+ -1 moreI originally contacted them to have some windows and doors done in my house. He seemed eager once he got there to get to the numbers part of the game which I'm sure we probably his job. There were some really nice products and options but I don't feel the price should have been that high. I paid a different company almost $10,000 less for the same work and information. Which even at $400 a window (i had 13) that's only around $5000. That leaves an unexplained $14,000 for the doors. I haven't seen those kind of prices anywhere else. After the initial meeting I was promised a call back and some references. I got the call asking if I was ready but no references. I like to go see some of the work that was done in the area and ask homeowners about their experiences. I liked the products and if they ever stopped charging so much I would definitely use them.

+ 0 moreThe simplest and best way to summarize this experience is to say it was completely professional and there were absolutely no surprises. Sounds boring, but that's exactly what you expect from a major contractor. Every step of the way was completely professional and you can tell each Pella representative was highly experienced and new exactly what they were doing. From scheduling the initial consultation, to the estimate, to the measurements and through the installation process each representative or contractor knew exactly what could be done, what couldn't be done, what it would take and they were all very well prepared for anything and everything. No extra trips or sessions or overruns. The installation was projected to take 3 days but the installers worked hard and finished it in 2 days. The windows perform great and immediately we notice a huge difference with noise insulation and with heat retention. The windows were installed just before the first big rain storm of the year and before the first few cold nights. Everything is dry and warm and previously we would have run the heater a little in the mornings, we feel no need to do that! It's amazing.
Description of Work: Complete replacement of all windows and sliding glass doors with new, high efficiency windows and door. This was a retrofit of new windows into the existing window frames.

+ -1 moreIt was a good sale. The sales representative knows what their talking about. They were prompt. I got the bill immediately. I got the door with no issues though there was a 3 mix ups in the installations. But in the end they installed the door. It was straight. It was an average experience. Unfortunately, I read some very negative reviews online about the product warranty so I'll probably would refrain from recommending them.

+ -1 moreThe estimate was free of cost. The representative kindly told us that the existing window which was of a particular brand was of a reputable company and so they might replace it for free. If they couldn’t replace it for free, rather than replacing the entire window, they could probably just replace the one pane that needed to be replaced. Therefore I didn’t use Pella but actually their service was excellent because they honestly suggested to me to deal with a different provider and I could get it done much cheaper than dealing with Pella. Since they were a different company, they would have to rip out the entire window. So I didn’t use them but they actually gave me useful advice, so that I could get it done at a much cheaper price. They quoted me $1500 to replace just one large window. It was probably a reasonable price for what they were going to do I think. It was just not necessary to do that. All of it needed to be done with one company to be replaced. I will use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Pella Windows & Doors for my mother’s house. I did not use their services. They came out about a month ago to give me an estimate for replacing one window pane. I was concerned that the entire window would need to be ripped out and replaced.

It was a fair price but I changed what I wanted done on the project so we went with another company. They were very nice and I had a good experience with them. They came when they said they would, they had good ideas, and were professional.

+ 0 moreWe were thinking about sneaking in under those tax credits but we haven't yet. The guy was really nice. He was very patient and explained everything. We were really impressed with the French door and we are thinking about that. The issues we had with the windows were that we didn't think we could have a different color on the inside and outside. Our stupid homeowners association doesn't like a white window on the outside; they want a color on the outside, which is fine, but we want white on the inside. You have to have white on the outside to get the white on the inside. Other companies have white on the inside and a different color on the outside. The windows are great except for that. The guy was nice and he didn?t put any undue pressure on us. He was very patient and ran back to the car a couple of times to get samples. He presented us with a nice computerized quote. The windows are very expensive. He was very professional. The French door had some features that we had never seen before and if we get a little money saved up we will probably get that French door. I know my wife would like it.

The workers showed up every day 7am ready to work, cleaned as they went and did not leave for the day with holes in the house. Impressed with the workers, and the salesman. No high pressure sale. After purchase the windows were remeasured by the foreman prior to ordering and I went over the order with the salesman and the foreman before order to make sure it was correct. All work was done to my standard and asked if I had any problems with the install before they left after the last day
Description of Work: I bought replacement windows for the rear of the house and new construction on the front. They installed 12 windows and 2 sliding glass doors. Re-stucco the new construction windows.
