Dave and his crew were professional, punctual and did an outstanding job with the project. I would definitely use them again in the future.

We haven't been ready to move forward with our project yet but Parker will be our contractor when we are. He arrived on time, asked lots of questions and prepared very clear estimate of the scope and costs. He was light years ahead of the other guys who came recommended by friends.

Dave and his crew are really top notch. I've already gotten complements on the work they did. The historic sidewalks they poured look fantastic (well the whole job does), and I can't recommend them enough. Dave was also super patient in answering all my questions and helping me through the permit process, and I really appreciated that.

I worked for about a year researching this project to select materials, and do a structural layout. I chose 2 colors of block for the walls and another color for the columns. Some of the walls between the columns were 24" high with 36" high wrought iron fencing above. Dave's crew were absolutely incredible. They were extremely knowledgeable, congenial, and just a pleasure to work with. I spend a lot of time making certain that my jobs are being done correctly and to my satisfaction. Over the course of 3 weeks of work with more than 4 people every day, I only had to made a few minor comments and the workers immediately made certain that I was happy. The workers and Dave were an absolute pleasure to work with. The stone mason's were older guys with many years of experience but this was the 1st time they had worked with multi colored block that had to be assembled in a pattern. They realized a mistake when the two ends of a wall didn't match the pattern. They stopped, tore out one end and rebuilt it, which cost them about 4 hours and never really complained. Each morning when they came to work I saw them standing some distance from the wall to admire their previous days work. Seeing a workman who is proud of his work gave me a lot of warm fuzzy feelings. I have had total strangers stop at my home to tell me how attractive my wall looks. I think you may by now realize that I am VERY HAPPY and pleased with this project. Next Dave will be doing some hardscape landscaping and polymer finishing on my concrete Patio and Sidewalk.

I called Parker Concrete for a relatively small concrete replacement job and the owner Dave Parker came out to my house to give me an estimate. He spent a lot of time with me and gave me several options. I was anxious to have the job done because my current walkway was a trip hazard. Dave had a busy schedule at the time but his foreman and workers responded quickly and they did an excellent job. They were courteous and very professional. I will definitely call Parker Concrete for my next concrete work.

We are very pleased with the work performed by Dave and his crew. Everything was done in a professional manner, the quality of work was outstanding, and Dave and his crew were very easy to work with.

The project was documented in great detail with our generated 3 size B drawings with dimensions. Along with a written detailed list of concerns and questions. A first version was furnished, and then a final version. Dave Parker made an initial low quote and a second quote incorporating the changes and additions after our final decisions. He was competitive with the next most complete and detailed bidder for the project. He was able to start the project soon after the signing of the contract. We were very concerned with how existing plumbing, conduit, drains, fence posts, cleanout box, and water meter box would be incorporated and dealt with to complete the project. Dave worked with us over how to implement these items into the design to satisfy our need for a complete and pristine project. He and his crew worked with us during each phase of the project. As they proceeded they communicated clearly and completely how each of our concerns would be handled. His crew arrived every day on time and worked diligently throughout the day to complete the job in a timely manner.

It went well. Where needed,. they also relocated some of the lawn sprinklers. Dave was very friendly and helpful and the crew was as well.

The work was done in a very professional manner. We found Mr. Parker to be a very pleasant person and this helped to remove some of of the anxieties that we had about undertaking this project. He offered suggestions that were incorporated into the job. We were very pleased with the results and would not hesitate to use his company in the future.

The crew was on time and professional, and the work was just what we expected. His crew also leveled the steps to meet code, so people aren't tripping up our front stairs any more. We have an older home, so people who can work with the aging structures and help us incorporate new into old concrete walkways was great.

They installed a fire pit and a concrete patio. They also installed some drainage.

We had called and made an appointment for him to come out and give us a bid on our retaining wall. we had a hard time scheduling a time with him. Since we work during the day we inquired if he could come out after work after 430 and he said he was too busy coaching water polo and he wasn't able to come out in the afternoon or evening. He suggested a early morning appointment so we took time off from work and we scheduled a 7 am appointment. After already scheduling the morning off with my employer, he then called us the night before to tell us he couldn't make it. He didn't suggest another time and couldn't give us any definite time of when he could make it out. We left it up to him to contact us when he could find the time to give us an estimate and we never heard from him again. Overall I get the impression that he doesn't need our business or money and he's too busy.

Dave Parker and his employees did a very solid and professional job in repairing the multiple areas in our extensive driveway that needed updating. Mr.Parker is a very open, friendly and straightforward person and gave us various options for the work. He was right on in his estimate without any surprises. My only mild complaint was that he is so busy juggling multiple jobs that it took somewhat longer than he originally stated to complete the job. I certainly would recommend him and would use his services in the future.

It went well. Inspected cinder block wall along back edge of property. Determined that outer side of wall needed sealing. Selected the appropriate material. Applied the sealer material. The wall was difficult to access, but they worked as a team and completed the job in one long day.

My husband and I could not be happier with the work and with Dave. We liked him from the first day we met him. He had great ideas, but always listened to what we wanted. The pool area looks amazing! We feel like we live at a resort now. The difference is shocking. Dave was professional and always kept us informed. He was right on budget and right on time with the job. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave or to use him again!

Went great...Dave is easy to work with and is a genuine nice guy. Everything was carried out professionally. The finished product was better than we had hoped for! To start we were worried about our steep slope behind our home and needed a well built retaining wall approx. 3 ft high with drainage installed. It was over 80 ft of wall with a significant curve involved. We liked the idea of a block wall reinforced with concrete, but were worried about how it would look. Dave came up with a suggestion of split face block, in a color that complemented the surroundings. He then suggested an upgraded cap stone, which really dressed up the wall, and was within our budget as well. Along the way, we decided to fix a drainage trough, and the masons crafted a really nice concrete curb to contain the drainage flow. Dave met with me early in the morning due to my work schedule, and even after work some days. He gave us options along the way, such as varying the wall height. Finally, he even had his crew hoist up our AC units and poured a concrete pad under them. We feel like we got our money's worth. We have had many positive comments about the wall already! I interviewed a number of contractors for this job. Some on Angie's list, others not. Parker Concrete came through with a quality product at a fair price!

I have never written a bad review about any service provider (nor was I ever planning to), but my experience with Parker Concrete was so remarkably terrible that I feel the need to share it as a warning to those considering hiring him. I have done about $350k of work on my home as an owner builder over the last few years and worked with about 25 different subcontractors. Some are certainly better than others, but Dave Parker has been the worst by a wide margin. The project started off in a similar way to most of the reviews I?ve read ? Dave was helpful and appeared to care about the quality of work, he was happy to make minor changes without significant cost implications and his crew were very nice. After some time, Parker started to make a lot of mistakes, which made him work faster, which in turn caused worse mistakes. These included: breaking the same water line 3 separate times, putting walls in the wrong place, saw cutting a footing in the wrong place, ordering concrete for the wrong day, misplacing the steel in the wall and failing inspection from the city, pouring the new foundation in the wrong place resulting in the building overhanging almost 3? over 4?, walls not straight, and the list continues. It came to the point where every day there was a new and worse problem. To the end, Dave Parker would blame everyone around him - the architect for not drawing the plans clearly, me for not having reviewed his work as the owner builder, the framers for not curving the wall to match his concrete, even his own crew, but never assumed responsibility for what were clearly his own mistakes. I was patient with Dave to the end, but his real colors shone when he opted to tell me that I had better pay him more or he?ll walk and his problems will become my problems. We had an argument and he was abusive and abrasive. He followed up with a substantial list of change orders and demands that were largely unwarranted or not possible to complete in a reasonable timeframe. I was left with no choice but to fire Dave, despite the fact that he had received payment for work not completed. I had another contractor come in to correct most of his work and finished in a reasonable time frame. To top it off ? Dave decided not to pay his concrete bill, leaving me with an upcoming lien and the task of taking him to CSLB arbitration to collect what he owes me from this disaster, somewhere around $8,500. After it all, I finally checked his license and he already has another citation. How is this guy so well reviewed? Be warned.

He was on time and had a very good crew. Would use him again. Come over and look at it, it looks great.

It's been a while and I can't recall the details. Mr. Parker came out and looked at my situation and determined what he thought was the best course. I haven't had any problem with the area since. I would use him again. I think he was honest and fair.
