Very efficient and professional work. They demoed the old driveway, removed all the tree roots (Full truck load of roots), and installed new driveway in 3 days. Dave was exceptional to work with. He contacted me regularly, moved the work date up to meet my scheduling needs, and completed the job very quickly. I can't recommend Dave and his crew highly enough. Dave and his team came to work on resurfacing of about 5000 square feet concrete areas in my home. They has been 12 years since they were built and was not maintained very well. The people coming working on it at the date as we finally agreed upon. The work and materials are first class. They did the clean very well after work. After a waiting period, they put everything moved during the work back in their original place. These areas look much better after the work was done. In particular, for the color concrete area, Dave suggested to stain it and it made a big difference.. Dave said the area will be the the good shape for 5 to 8 years with only washing and cleaning using vinegar once a year. I hope this will be true. We'll see.

Job was exceptional! They cleared out the area where I wanted the walkway, poured and leveled out the area. They discovered 2 rotted fence posts at the end of the area where the concrete was being poured, and they went and got new posts and replaced the posts as well. Now I have a great walkway with brand new posts anchored in concrete. It is terrific. The concrete bordered a house/flowerbed on 1 side and a neighbors driveway on another, and existing concrete on a third side. The concrete was a perfect match to the desired height on all sides. I am extremely happy with the work. Dave Parker even came to my place of work so we could sign the contract, thus saving me precious time. .

Dave Parker said he and his crew would start work at 7.30 and they were there early. After Dave explained the work to be done the crew got right to work. They removed concrete pilings from an old wood deck, leveled and framed the area, and were ready when the concrete truck arrived. The concrete was quickly poured and leveled. While most of the crew went on to another job, one man remained to continue leveling the concrete as the moisture came up. By 2.30 everything was ready to go.

Dave Parker from Parker Concrete was very helpful and thorough during the entire process - from reviewing our needs; making recommendations, constructing a bid and executing the actual project. His work constructing the plan and bid was very professional and efficient. His team was very efficient when they arrived onsite and was very attentive to the needs of our homeowner association in terms of where the crew parked and how the raw materials for the job were stored, etc. I found Dave and his team very flexible when changes were required - either through unforeseen developments that could have caused project delays - to additional work required which was discovered during the installation process. I would highly recommend Dave and his team for their very competitive pricing, highly skilled installers and their overall customer service excellence!

Dave Parker (the owner) was very professional, and was at our home daily to oversee the day's work, and to address any questions or concerns that we had. His crew were incredible - extremely efficient and always polite and very friendly. My 2-year old and 4-year old loved taking them snacks and drinks a few times a day, and the crew treated them with kindness and respect too. Even my neighbors commented on their friendliness and professionalism! We asked Dave, and he said that the same crew had been working for him for 10+ years. That is testament to both the kind of employer Dave is, and to the work environment that they create. We had hiccups along the way (doesn't EVERY home improvement project?!?) At every junction, Dave kept us informed and gave us options. Once the concrete was torn up, several problems came to light: 1 - the electrical for the pool equipment had been laid directly into the old concrete - it had never been put into a tube and buried, and as a result when the concrete was jackhammered, all our electrical went out... 2 - the pool was leaking and that was the reason that the sandstone coping was lifting and loose. Dave recommended we get several estimates for both the electrical and the resurfacing/re-tiling of the pool. This is not in his scope of work He gave us plenty of time to do it, and offered several suggestions as far as different contractors for those jobs that he had worked with in the past. He even gave suggestions as to how we could save money on the work HE performed, since suddenly our budget had tripled. He was more than generous with his time and advice. At the end of the day, the work that Dave and his crew did was EXCEPTIONAL. Our new backyard is an oasis now - the concrete is smooth and a great color (one that Dave recommended) The new coping around the pool is beautiful - and SAFE. We used a pool resurfacing company that he recommended (DeMaria Pools) and we were extremely happy with their work too. I will provide some before and after pics within a week, the results are really extraordinary. Dave is a great, reliable guy. We are thrilled with the work that he did.

This was the second project for which we used Parker Concrete. About 7 months ago, we replaced a crumbling driveway apron. That job was done extremely well, and so was this one. The crew started on a Monday by demo-ing the existing retaining wall, which was leaning severely toward our driveway. On Tuesday the crew dug a trench and prepared the site for the new concrete. The concrete was poured on Wednesday, and the crew did a careful job of smoothing it out. Finally, the crew was back on Thursday to remove the remaining wood framing, backfill the dirt that had been removed to make way for the new wall, and take care of the final cleanup. The job was handled from start to finish professionally and with admirable attention to detail. We were very pleased by the outcome. This is a high-quality firm with reasonable prices. I would not hesitate to recommend Parker Concrete to others.

Parker concrete did an excellent job. Dave Parker helped to create a plan for our yard and was able to troubleshoot problems when they came up. He was always available to answer questions either in person or over the phone. His crew was punctual and polite. I would happily hire Parker concrete for another job or recommend them to others.

David Parker and his crew at Parker Concrete did great work in putting in pavers in the front of our house. Although this was a difficult project which included drainage considerations, Dave?s first-rate crew was able to complete the work in a timely manner. The crew was competent and courteous and cleaned up everything afterwards. Overall, it was a very professional job at a reasonable price. Dave is fantastic. His crew poured a beautiful, large dog run in one portion of our backyard. They also graded over an ugly, weed ridden portion of our front yard and created a clean looking gravel driveway. Dave is a consummate professional and kept me up to date on his timeline and schedule. His extremely professional crew showed up at least 30 minutes early each day. They finished the job ahead of schedule and exactly on budget. Dave LISTENED to us when we had budget concerns and presented several options to accommodate the job without breaking the bank. We are considering re-doing another section of our backyard with smooth river rock or something similar, and we will use Dave for that job. Dave is not the least expensive concrete contractor out there, and he is not the most expensive. His prices are fair, but above all else, his customer service is excellent and the quality of his work is exceptional.

Dave Parker and his crew did an outstanding job from start to finish. Dave is very professional, punctual, and was willing to work with me and accommodate my schedule. I am performing a remodeling job largely by myself, and Dave had very helpful suggestions on how I set up the design and the forms, helping me to make a better end product. His crew showed up on time yesterday and the job went very smoothly. They were able to compensate for a defect in the height of one of the forms and the result was nothing short of magnificent. I plan on using Parker Concrete for some additional work related to a seismic retrofit, and I would highly recommend Dave and his team for any concrete work.

We requested bids from four contractors on Angie?s list. Dave Parker was the first to provide a bid along with good suggestions and ideas. All of the estimates were within a few hundred dollars. During this process dealing with a number of contractors we considered doing additional work on the side of the house and had everyone rework their estimates. In the end we settled on our original plans and selected Dave Parker for his knowledge, common sense and honesty; also for his patience in coming by 3 times. The schedule was for the work to begin 3-4 weeks out with an option to start early if his crews had a break or interruption in other work The work was started early on Thursday February 26 and completed on Friday the 27th. Dave and his crew were just great. On time, professional, pleasant to work with, neat plus excellent cleanup. Dave spotted an issue just before the concrete pour with the garage door and they made adjustments to ensure that water stayed out of the garage. It rained the next day and the driveway water runoff was perfect. The demo, new entry way and driveway more than met our expectations. We definitely recommend Dave parker Concrete and would certainly use their services in the future.

Dave was great and explained the details of the project and checked in with me along the way. His schedule was really busy so we had to wait approximately 5 weeks to start work but once it was started, it finished on time even when there was a potential delay, he was able to complete the project according to the timeline. I would recommend Dave for any of your concrete work in the future!

My new stack stone retaining wall looks great and the process was painless - they kept everything cleaned up and neat as they worked. Plus, it was a joy to hear his crew laugh and sing as they flourished in not very nice weather. I would definitely refer Dave Parker to my friends and neighbors.

Outstanding in all respects. Dave Parker is a solid professional who obviously takes pride in his work. His crew reflects Dave's professionalism. They worked efficiently and effectively and knew exactly what they were doing. I was especially impressed with the time and care they put into the finishing touches. The completed driveway apron looks great, and I was delighted with the results.

Once project was started, it was rushed which resulted in a Jacuzzi pad that had a +4% grade to it from front to back and it is also higher on both sides with a valley in the middle. Dave Parker claimed that it was in uniform with existing pad, which is not the case. He tried to convince us with a short electronic level and claimed it had to be uniform with existing pad. Now, when you sit in a chair on it, it is like sitting on a hill and you are afraid you will fall over. When confronted with the gross unevenness he claimed that in hind sight he should have stopped the construction and asked for our approval. But instead he mad a decision to install the way it is. He also stated that if we put furniture on it that it would hide the unevenness and you would not even notice it was there!? When we asked him to repair it to a acceptable 2% grade he refused. We then requested him to repair it in writing and again he refused. We are in the process of contacting the California Contractors Board and contacted his Bond company to file a claim. We will update with those findings when done. We want to recoup the money we will spend to get someone else in to repair his work.. I urge anyone who has had substandard work from Dave at Parker Concrete to do the same. The California Contractors Board file only takes about 10 minutes to fill out and well worth it. Although it can take up to 6 months or more to get a resolution. I do not believe there is a statue of limitations, but my contract stated one year. Do not settle for his excuses and unwillingness to make things right for the customer. Great job from Dave Parker and his team! We have a large property that that we have lived in for 15 years and had drainage issues created over the years that had caused shifting in concrete, cracks and improper flow of landscaped areas. Dave's team began the project with a complete inventory and quality check of the existing drainage piping and traced this throughout the property. After careful inspection much of this needed replaced and had been overgrown with roots or damaged under the walkways and patio. Dave's team was very creative in not only placing a new carefully planned system but also added more piping, drains and landscape barriers to assure a nice flow from the property for any heavy rains that may occur in the future. After the drainage was replaced his team began the concrete demo and replacement and matched the existing concrete very well avoiding the replacement of the entire area and saving me of this expense. His team then sealed the newly poured concrete, the existing patio and our driveway. He also sealed a fountain and pond area that had become inoperable due to leaks. I researched several firms before deciding on Parker Concrete. The thing I liked most about Parker Concrete's proposal was his teams approach to do things carefully and cost effectively. His team wanted to reuse much of what existed and concentrate their efforts on careful repair work and quality craftsmanship that would assure a sound infrastructure. This gives me confidence that the work done will really last a long time, while finishing the project with an nice new appearance. Many others firms I contacted focused their proposals on replacing the entire area and driveway with expensive pavers and concrete but spent very little time addressing the underlying drainage issue. I know I will use Parker concrete in the future and would highly recommend them to others. I am very pleased with their work.

It is a big driveway. We went with them because their bid was reasonable. Their was one group that was slick and corporate oriented. The others were fine.

Excellent experience. Hard working crew. Paid great attention to details. Came on time. Project completed earlier than we thought. Final outcome just great. Very pleased with service and quality.

I met with Dave for an initial free estimate, in the end unfortunately we did not use his services. But overall he seemed fairly easy-going, offered options of improving our needs, and held a competitive price. This is the second time we have used Parker Concrete, first with our own driveway and patio, this time with our daughter and son in law's condo patio. Access to the patio was difficult but the workers were wonderful and very professional. Parker priovided an estimate in a timely manner. He was on the job every day to check progress. We would not hesitate to use him again. Workers were a pleasure to be around, worked well together.

The owner and his team were on time each day. The patio took 2 days to finish. The first day they cleared the area and put in rebar. The 2nd day the concrete was poured and completed.

Dave was very helpful with suggestions on designing the projects. Started job a head of schedule and completed in 2 days. Work crew was very professional! Received 3 bids from Angies list contractors, Parker's bid was in the middle, and was 35% lower than top bid. Very pleased with the work performed and the entire process.

Dave and his crew did a great job. It's nice and flat and when I drive into my driveway, my car just rolls right in. Now other people with lower cars can drive into driveway without scraping the bottom of their car and I feel better knowing that someone can't get hurt by tripping over my driveway.
