This company is as good as it gets! If you are like me, you will research other companies and will quickly learn (from neighbors or online reviews) that there are many problems with concrete jobs. Some contractors take forever, leaving you with a "work zone" or half-done jobs for weeks on end. Not Dave's team. They'll start and finish as quickly as humanly possible (our project was a medium one - 4 days start to finish, our neighbor had a huge project - 7 days start to finish ). Other companies will just not deliver on the design or the look of the concrete (not to mention cause damage...one of our neighbors worked with a different concrete company...they placed pipes for draining but then, irresponsibly filled those pipes with concrete when they poured it...talk about a nightmare!) . Not these guys. They take their job VERY seriously and it shows. Dave and the entire team are attentive, respectful, and above all highly professional. They are just good people and excellent at what they do. In addition, I believe Dave is a genius when it comes to concrete and everything related to it. He will see the best design for your project, have wonderful ideas for improving the way things look (which he will share respectfully) and you get the feeling he always goes above and beyond in every way. At first, when I read the reviews (and I did, I read all the reviews for each one of the five contractors we invited to bid on our project) I thought it must be too good to be true. I have since referred Dave's company to my neighbors and regardless of how small or big, simple or complicated the project was, Dave's team did an amazing job! You should totally get a few bids and meet different contractors so that when you meet Dave, you'll know to appreciate that it's the best option (as well as value for your money) out there!!!

Awesome! Our old driveway was cracked, unlevel and narrow. We didn't know exactly what we wanted for the new driveway and front walk other than wider, but Dave Parker (owner) listened to the style we liked and our concerns about it staying balanced and in scale with the house and it came out PERFECT. The pad in back is also exactly what we wanted, and our travel trailer fits perfectly ...thanks to Dave's recommendation that we make it 18" wider than we originally planned. The whole team was great, Dave was here every day to make sure things were progressing and done correctly, and we couldn't be happier with the work!

Dave was very responsive and easy to work with. He listened to our ideas shared his experiences and helped us finalize what became a beautiful project. His pricing was competitive and his attention to the job was all I could ask for. His crew who did all the work were amazing. They were here when they said they would be, did the job on time with excellent results.

The project went better than I could have imagined. There was some back-and-forth discussion about the final scope of the project, mostly due to my ignorance, and Dave Parker was very responsive and patient in leading me through that. Once the start date was set, Dave and the team arrived on schedule and completed everything within the time estimated. The finished project really adds to the appearance of the outside of the house and the new sidewalk is much safer.

The work went very smoothly and Dave was there on a regular basis the make sure the work was done in a timely manner. I was very pleased with the result.

My 30 year old driveway had many large cracks that were very poorly repaired and finished with cement stain. For years I shopped for a reasonable proper fix. Along came Dave. He cut a pattern into the drive which is similar to flagstone. It looks great at a reasonable cost. Would recommend him to anyone.

Excellent contractor, highly recommended. Friendly, great communication. The owner was on site with his workers for a majority of the time. He gave great advice, very customer oriented. I am very happy with the work.

The prices were a little higher than others but it was worth it for what I had done.

I was told this job would not be done for 4-6 weeks and around week 6 I received a call and two days later a confirmation of the date the work was to be done. All the work was timely completed in one day including routing a drainage pipe beneath the concrete pour. The work was done methodically, no problems whatsoever. Clean up occurred and no unwanted debris were left on the site.

It was a real pleasure to work with Dave and his crew. They are reliable, punctual and professional. Dave goes out of his way to to keep you updated and informed. He works with you to help you achive your goals and keeping the cost down as much as possible.

This was our first major outdoor project and we were so happy we chose Parker concrete to help us. We had lots of ideas and Dave Parks (owner) helped us determine what would work for the space we had. We worked with Dave throughout the whole process to design our ideal outdoor hardscape. We are so happy with the result. We had some issues come up due to prior plumbing and building design and Dave took care of everything while keeping us involved at every step. His crew works very hard and were there promptly every morning. Their workmanship was impressive. We now have a great patio and fire pit to enjoy this summer.

I called 5 contractors for bids and had 3 actually show up personally to my home to look at the projects, take measurements and submit a proposal. All of the bids were within a few hundred dollars of each other, but what set Parker Concrete above the rest was Dave Parker's knowledge of the existing landscape construction and pointed out some issues that I had been aware of, but uncertain of the causes. Dave came up with a plan to best to complete my project correctly while blending aesthetically with the existing construction. While his schedule originally put my relatively small job out 3-5 weeks, circumstances allowed that he was able to get a crew to my place about a week after the proposal was accepted. The crew was on time and worked exceptionally hard to excavate the compact native soil and extend the existing drain system, while keeping the existing irrigation pipes safe. They were very pleasant to be around and cleaned up after themselves after each step of the process. They did an outstanding job color and texture matching the skip trowel stucco on the planter and divider walls. The brick inlaid transition was also done very well, even though the bricks had to be modified to match the existing brick transitions elsewhere in the yard. The mow curb in the front turned out even better than I envisioned, with a smooth top surface and clean round bends that define the separation between the rose garden red bark mulch and the desert gold DG flat portions of the yard. Overall, Dave's crew did an outstanding job at a great price and he is now my #1 recommendation for concrete work in the San Diego area.

It was good, but he wanted to demo first and then pour patio. I felt like it could create problem because of scheduling. He was courteous, polite and was on the ball. The pricing was fair and tried to save me money by doing the demo first.

The experience was excellent and resulted in product that I am very happy with. Dave Parker was very helpful is assisting me with his advice on color and seeded aggregate combinations and retaining wall geometries, and methods to reduce my cost of the job.. The crew of Parker Concrete were very friendly and excellent craftsmen. They were willing to give on the spot advice and do simple changes without having to wait for change orders. They always let me know what days they would be working and were very reliable. The job cleanup was excellent. Increases in job cost due to changes was minimal and under my control..

Dave and his team did a great job and the work was extremely professional. Everything went as planned. Dave, the owner, came the first day with his crew. He talked me though each of the steps they were doing from digging the trench, putting in the footer, building the wall, the finishing the wall. During the quote, he said that he may not be the cheapest, but his work was quality. In terms of price, I received several quotes, and the quote from Parker concrete was not the cheapest, but not that much higher. He also told me how others can shortcut, either by not tying the rebar in the pillars to the wall, or not filling every void of the cement blocks with cement. Overall, I don't believe he cut any corners. After the project started, Dave had one of his employees take the lead for the daily work. Dave would come in, typically each morning and evening to inspect the work and make any recommendations to changes. A couple of examples of how Dave works through issues: Before building the wall, we knew the height difference from one end to the other was significant. At first, we thought that it would look best to have one side higher than the other. However, Dave wanted to hang a straight line to better see what it would look like. After this, we decided to change the design so that it would be stair-stepped at each pillar. Dave & his team then went through the work to determine the best amount to stair-step at each pillar, so it would look consistent and even. In another example, on one of the fence posts, after Dave inspected the work, he was not happy with the quality. Without me even noticing, Dave pulled out the wooden fence post and re installed a new one. On the finish of the wall, I went back and forth on the finish. Dave had a recommendation to do a sand finish on the top and skip trowel the face; his recommendation was great, and the wall looks wonderful.

Project went extremely well. Parker is an affable person and very willing to go the extra mile to ensure that his clients are happy and satisfied. The finished product is beautiful and well crafted. His team was very professional and showed up to work when promised. Everything went so well, that I will be calling Parker in the very near future to complete another project.

Dave and his crew were a pleasure to work with. From initial estimate through job completion we found nothing to complain about. The job started within the promised time frame and was finished in a timely manner in spite of some work days lost to rain. Dave worked with us on all the inevitable but necessary modifications to our design (which had been done by someone else) and kept the cost within our budget. Dave's suggestions solved the initial design problems and gave us a finished look that we are thrilled with. He also respected and found a way to accomodate our wishes, most notably in working around a problematic tree. The Parker Concrete crew showed up every day on time and obviously knew what they were doing. They were polite and personable and always willing to answer questions. Neighbors commented positively on the work and the manner in which they saw it being done. I would (and already have) recommend Parker Concrete without reservation.

Parker Concrete patched a column on my front porch. The original builders just used cement and sand, which over the years of irrigation spraying it had disintegrated. They patched with a quick dry, high strength concrete that won't wash away. They installed steps from the front porch to the sidewalk and matched the curve of some steps already leading the backyard and did a beautiful job of matching the curve. It looks fabulous and I'm thrilled with it. They graded/excavated the side yard and pour concrete to pave the side yard. They tied into the current drain system through that area and added additional drainage. I am so pleased with the work. They cleaned up and didn't leave a dirty or mess work area. The job was professionally done and well done and I without hesitation would use them again and would highly recommend them.

We have 4 levels down a slope at our home, and Dave and his team, who are great by the way, was able to visualize what we wanted and the finish work is impeccable!! They even extended the stairs beyond the gate into our front yard which turned out perfect! His team were wonderful. Very courteous, on time, and highly professional. It was critical that we get this done now that El Nino rains are coming. Before there was just dirt and water would seep under the house when it rained. So this has been a life-saver and just in time. My Husband and I highly recommend Dave Parker and Parker Concrete if you want not only great concrete work but great finish work. It turned out beautiful. We will definitely use them in the future when we are ready to re-do our driveway.

I called three companys to bid the project. Parker's was the most prompt response and had the most professional bid. I chose Parker partly based on his Angies list ratings but also considered the price, and his willingness to work with me. His people arrived either on schedule or ahead of schedule every day of the project. Dave was very helpful in helping me scope out the job. He knew the city regulations for Poway. I liked the fact that Dave explained everything to me in detail and was on the job every day. His people are well trained and professional. They are easy to work with. The job was finished on schedule and on budget. There was a very minor issue with a sewer clean out cover which was solved very quickly. Dave is professional, ethical and qualified. I would use them again.

We were extremely happy from beginning to end. The finished walkway, patio and step are of excellent quality and exceeded our expectations. Dave went the extra mile to help us achieve a match for our existing walkways and pool deck, which was not easy since they were done 12 years ago. The crew was always punctual, polite and friendly, and clean! They clearly took pride in their work. From the original visit and bid, everything was clearly spelled out and explained every step of the way. The project was even finished prior to the contract date! We would highly recommend Parker Concrete to anyone.
