+ -1 moreNot well at all. They never called back after I tried calling them five times and saying I wanted the job done. They had given me an estimate, so did they just not want the job??? I only wanted a couple of wooden screens for my old house windows, and glass for a breakfront china cabinet. If those jobs went well, I was considering new glass top for my dining room table. I guess I'll find a new place to do the job.
Description of Work: I called for an estimate in June. I was very excited about this company because all the reviews on Yelp were great. I have an old house, needed screens to match my old house windows, and Kevin said he could do it. When two weeks went by and I didn't get a call back with an estimate I called them. Oh yes, he said, he had forgotten, and he would call me right back with an estimate. The estimate sounded reasonable and I was ready to accept, except now I was leaving on vacation so I called them when I returned to get the job started. He said he'd call me back, but two days went by and he never called. So, I called again, I spoke to a woman this time and she said he would call me when he came back in. I never did receive a call back and that was three weeks ago. I would prefer to have my screens than write this review. They seemed like a great company at first sight. I see there is another F review on the site from very recently and so I wonder if something has gone downhill for them. Our loss and theirs.

Description of Work: Person said they would call before coming to make estimate. They just showed up. Person reeked of cologne, was in and out in 5 min. Said he |would call me in an hour or two or the next day. Hello.... A month later, |hello.... This is not a large business, I wanted to support local, but |really? Why should I have to call them back....

+ -1 moreI walked in to Park Place Screen and Glass to get an estimate for a security screen door, which was given to me on the spot by an employee. I placed my order then and there. I was given an invoice. That was the last I heard from them. I called the business no fewer than 5 times over the course of 3 months to find out when I could expect installation, getting increasingly irritated. Many times the phone rang off the hook. Three months later, the owner finally called me back with a price that was more than double the estimate, completely unapologetic about the delayed response and ignored calls, and telling me plainly that they were getting the door from Dixieline and jacking up the price. I sincerely do not understand how they are in business. After being jerked around by them for three months (in the off-season, no less!) I ended up installing it myself.

+ 0 moreMy experience with Ken ( the owner) and his employee who did the actual work was far better than I could've hoped for. The work was scheduled promptly. Ken knew precisely what questions to ask me so his technician could come prepared. He quoted a price based upon my uneducated feedback to his questions and the final price was the one he quoted me on the phone. The technician was so nice and professional. He had to work near a hose of mine that I turned on not realizing it had a side-shoot of spray splattering him while I used it. He didn't miss a beat in performing the work. I felt terrible but he laughed it off. I highly recommend Park Place Screen and Glass regardless of what part of town you live in. Everyone at the company is "good people".
Description of Work: Park Place Screen & Glass replaced the broken glass in a 16 x 40 kitchen picture window of ours. The glass had a huge spider web pattern of what appeared to be hundreds of small broken pieces across the width and length of it. The glass was removed and the new piece was cut to fit at our home and then installed using the existing frame and hardware. The work went seamlessly wonderful. The technician arrived promptly, was very nice and friendly, performed the work like a very experienced professional who knew exactly what he was doing, and cleaned his work area impeccably. The only problem is the new glass shows how much I need to replace all the other kitchen window glass :-)
