Tom Mullaney is (among other things) a GREAT loan broker. He has helped me refinance different loans on five different occasions starting back in 1999. He has always been really great at making different options clear (with detailed spreadsheets); he always discusses advantages and disadvantages of different types or terms of loans; he has consistently paid attention to my own stated priorities and concerns with respect to various loan issues; and he has even offered relevant advice about other (non loan-based) financial/real estate issues that were part of my bigger overall picture. He seems to have both a breadth and depth of knowledge about real estate. Each time I have worked with him, I have felt like I got a really "good deal" with minimal/acceptable fees. The one time when--as it happened--I did NOT use him in acquring a loan, I ended up regretting it (it turned out to be an expensive and not-great loan), so I did refinance that loan through Tom within one year. He seems like a "stand-up guy" with just the right edge of OCD-like qualities that you WANT in a person who is helping you with your money. :)
