Description of Work: Refacing of kitchen cabinets, new soft close hinges, all moldings and trim. The cabinets took around 2 weeks an dine installer was meticulous and cleaned up everyday. They put up plastic to try to reduce dust, which is difficult to contain. I also had a sink replaced which was to be completed before they started and wasn't. They were very good to work with from the sales person wo bids the job to the scheduler to the installer and finish work person. Their staff have been together for years and that is what is also impressive. They are very busy so if you want a rush, that won't happen. But if you want the best in service and knowledge, this is where you go to get a quote. I did get other bids.

Description of Work: Resurface all kitchen cabinets, replaced all cabinet doors with RTF cabinet doors, added brushed nickel door/drawer knobs, replaced sink with Silgranit sink, replaced sink garbage disposal, replaced old countertops with quartz countertops. Completed as scheduled. Countertop replacement was by a sub-contractor. Looks & works beautifully.

Description of Work: Our kitchen cabinets were refaced. A new stainless steel sink installed as well as a new garbage disposal. Countertops were replaced. we had an extremely positive experience with this company from the day we visited the showroom to the completion of all the work. They worked around our schedule so that we were not inconvenienced.We had a lot of help in selecting the materials to suit our needs. The planner came to our house to measure and make sure what we selected would be a good fit for the area. Our installer called the day he was scheduled to let us know he was on the way and each day he was on time or a little early. We couldn't have asked for a more professional and personable worker than Glen. He paid so much attention to every detail of the job. There were some preexisting minor problems and he spotted them and fixed them. When the sink was being replaced he showed us the condition of our old garbage disposal, and we agreed that it was time to be replaced, which was part of our contract. The men who installed our new countertops were right on schedule and did a wonderful job in a timely manner. Once the work was done, someone came out to do the final inspection and make sure we were happy. He left us a nice letter and a lovely bottle of wine! We would use this company again in a minute.

Description of Work: Their Angie's List webpage indicated their office would open between 9AM and 1PM on saturdays. We got to their showroom at 9:30, and it was closed. At the door, there was a sign that said they opened on M-F, but did not mention saturday. It did, however, state to call for appointments. So we called, while standing in front of the store. A woman who picked up was terse and said that she could leave our message, but that they wouldn't be able to respond until Monday. She wasn't even apologetic that we drove to their store. The information needs to be updated.

Description of Work: We had our kitchen totally remodeled, cabinets refaced, granite counter tops, new sink, faucets. They did the work in a timely manner,cleaning up each day before leaving. They were careful to hang plastic between the kitchen and living room area so the dust, etc.stayed in the kitchen. Our installer paid attention to details and when the job was finished we were totally satisfied. I liked the fact that with the new sink and faucets we were able to buy at their cost, a big savings. We checked out other companies but the minute we walked in Pacific Kitchens I knew this would be the place. The price was comparable and Mary Lou made us feel totally comfortable with them. We came back to decide on sinks and faucets and Mary Lou and Tom were very helping in our decision process. If the need ever arises in the future we will go to Pacific Kitchens.

+ 0 moreMet with their representative who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Answered all my questions and made suggestions that helped my kitchen to be more functional. Was very honest, did not try to up sell me and there was no pressure. Quite a different experience from another company I met with which was very high pressure and wasn't anywhere as knowledgeable. Everything was done as promised and in the correct time line. Extremely professional company who really seem to know their business. The installation was flawless, and the end result just beautiful. People who see my kitchen think I spent the money to have my kitchen torn out. They are very impressed when I tell them they were refaced. I did get a price for new and by refacing I saved thousands of dollars. One morning they did call to say they couldn't come out until that afternoon, but they still finished on time. Very happy with the results and experience.
Description of Work: I contracted for a kitchen cabinet refacing and countertop. They installed my new appliances, helped me purchase a sink, faucet and garbage disposal at their wholesale cost and installed those as well. They also refaced my previous home several years ago.

+ -1 moreFirst workman left job 'completed' with new faucet installed so water poured over the floor, misplaced other fixtures, new hardware not installed, drawers not flush, 4 of the cabinet doors were misfits, one door missing, glue/over spray remained on cabinetry, finishing work not completed, & seams so ineptly done that the 2nd workman commented on the poor work. 2nd workman a no-show, he had "forgot". Then, he too left the job incomplete. 7 weeks later we still have 1 missing door and no follow-up from PK to complete remaining work (to avoid more unbroken verbal promises from owner, I had to resort to requesting all communication now be by fax.) PK now holding missing door as ransom for a final payment. Had PK completed the job as contracted on July 20, final payment would have been made. PK has received several written requests asking for door to be delivered (we'll install) & to refund our sub top work charges. Day 46 of a 4-day job.
Description of Work: Our project was a basic refacing of a small kitchen and new sub tops for a granite counter top. PK failed to complete our project, left visibly unprofessional work, and simply walked away from the job without communication to us. Contract completion date was July 20. Now, September 5, we are still missing one cabinet door and other professionals will need to complete the PK work deficiencies left behind. Additionally, PK charged us $565 extra for doing the prep and leveling work for our new granite sub top, but our granite installers had to remedy the PK unleveled sub top on site and we had to correct PK sink leak. We have wasted so much time and energy over the past several weeks trying to make PK accountable for their work. As noted from others in the Angie s List, PK has substantial communication and customer service deficiencies. PK s lack of professional standards and accountability (broken promises, no-shows, no follow-up) make their overall product and service very poor.

+ -1 moreOur initial contact was with their salesman, John. Very polite & definitely knew his job. Was impressed. Told him we wanted to meet him at the warehouse for a total look. Next day, John called in late-traffic. The owner, Jeff, appeared upset. John arrived (5 minutes late). We decided between us to go ahead with the deal but wanted another day to go over the owner's "general" contract just given to us. Next day,I arrived to sign the contract & present a check. John wasn't there. Upon arriving to the warehouse, I noticed Jeff was upset on a call in his office. When Jeff came out to speak to me, I explained everything looked great, but I wanted a short penalty sentence in the contract in case the company didn't finish on time (gave them an extra week). He refused. Also asked for a sentence in the contract stating the company to be responsible for any damages to my granite top. He became irate & told me that he was NOT adding or deleting anything in his contract. Bad-Bad attitude. I left.

+ 2 moreInitial contact was John Campbell (10/4), who was courteous and knowledgeable (NO hard sell---what a relief from other companies! After signing agreement, down payment of 10% was paid, and later the rest in measured installments. PK's Tom Hoffman did final measuring (10/9). Start date was 11/6. Because of PK's credentials, I felt comfortable having them do most of the work while I was away in Panama for two weeks. When I returned 11/14, cabinets doors were roughly in, plywood bases ready for new counters, & plumbing fixtures temporarily installed so I could use them. Counters were installed Nov 21 and job signed off on Dec 1, after some tweaking with finish work and adjustments that were needed, which PK (Allen and Zack) happily did for me. Subcontrators CCM also very conscientious about doing a good and thorough job. Tho there were some communications problems with PK, I was still quite happy with the job and the people who worked for them or subcontracted with them.
Description of Work: Pacific Kitchens (PK)refaced existing cabinets and installed new hardwood doors and drawers in my kitchen and bathroom area, and replaced countertops in kitchen and bathroom with custom quartz manufactured stone (subcontracting with CCM Enterprises of Santee, CA). PK also installed all new plumbing fixtures, garbage disposal, and did all installation and finish work.

ONE DOOR WAS CHIPPED BEFORE IT WAS DELIVERED AND THE INSTALLER/CABINET BUILDER RETURNED IT AND HAD ANOTHER ONE MADE. OTHER SLIGHT IMPERFECTIONS WERE REDONE. THE COUNTER TOP DID NOT MATCH IN ONE AREA AND AFTER WE NOTICED IT, THE WORKMAN TOLD US HOW TO HANDLE IT AND WE'RE GETTING THE NEW ONE INSTALLED TOMORROW.

THEY HAD ADVERTISED A 10% INTERNET SPECIAL, BUT THEN THE ESTIMATOR THAT CAME OUT TO OUR HOUSE SAID THAT IT WAS AN OLD WEB-SITE AND NO LONGER VALID. I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE HONORED THE PRICE, THOUGH. ALTHOUGH THE CABINETS LOOK GREAT, WHEN THE EXTERIOR LAMINATE WAS INSTALLED OVER THE SIDES OF THE CABINETS, THE NAILS THAT WERE USED ACTUALLY EXTENDED INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE CABINETS, AND I ALMOST CUT MYSELF WHEN I WAS CLEANING THE CABINETS AFTER THEY LEFT. MY ONLY OTHER COMPLAINT, THE DUST WAS LEFT ALL OVER THE INTERIOR OF THE CABINETS.
