Pacific Drapery

Two big thumbs up for the team at Pacific Drapery! We couldn’t be happier with our new draperies, Roman shades and custom bedspread and pillows. Designer Kathy, and installer Ivan, were outstanding! Kathy effortlessly guided us through the maze of fabric and hardware selection, educating us as to what would work and what wouldn’t for each room; ensuring that we ended up with a stunning new, unified look that complements our house and personal style. We love it! Ivan's measurements were spot on and his install was impeccable. Working with Pacific Drapery was an all around great experience. We spent a lot, but the service and end product was was worth it! Thanks!

I brought a picture of our couch with measurements, and he told me how much yardage I would need. I ended up buying fabric on sale at Calico corners, but his upholstery charges were cheaper than CC quoted me. He picked up the couch and fabric at my place and delivered the finished product 2 weeks later. I expected and would have been happy with a loose and quot;shabby chicand quot; slipcover, but instead I got a gorgeous tight fitting cover that can be zipped off for cleaning. The cost was $550 plus $40 for pickup and delivery. If anything, good slipcovers are more labor-intensive than upholstery, since nothing can be tacked or stapled on, so I think this was a good price for such a professional result.

We highly recommend Pacific Drapery! Kathleen (Pacific Drapery Owner) and her persistent, diligent, skillful team have created a STUNNING and clever black-out drapery application for our bedroom wall of windows. We live downtown where it is noisy and oftentimes windy making the process of creating an optimal drapery system more difficult. Our particular situation called for a long-running/well established drapery business. In the beginning their representative brought many sensational fabric samples to our home for consideration. (We'd also asked two other drapery makers for estimates and quickly eliminated them based on their limited fabric sample offerings and/or significantly higher prices.) Of the three, Pacific Drapery also offered the finest black-out liner fabrics with multiple color options. Kathleen's willingness to dialog about constraints and specific design requests was very helpful. One of their wonderful seamstresses created a sample for our consideration using the pleating concept that we thought would look best. When we held the sample up in our space we realized that it did not work with our current style of decor in the bedroom. They offered to create another sample which was the design that we ultimately used. Having the visual aid of these samples made our decision so much simpler. Structurally, the drapes would need to be strong and constructed in a way so that they would not fly out onto the balcony because there is a strong cross-breeze within our home. To address the cross-breeze challenges Kathleen and her team used rope-type weights within the inside of the hem but warned that we would need an additional method for keeping the drapes from flying out of the doors on windy days and suggested two solutions, both ultimately incorporated into the design. Apparently they had previous experience with creating drapes and/or sails for use in marine applications and suggested attaching snaps to the drapes that could be snapped to the wall. The snaps were grommeted onto the drapes and hidden by a beautiful fold of the drapery fabric. The drapes can now easily snap onto the wall on windy days, which allows us to enjoy an almost completely blacked-out room during daylight hours, when desired. They also sewed loops onto the bottom of the drape into which we often slide a long heavy bar weight so that the drapes don't balloon out when the door is completely open. Due to the unique constraints of our project we felt that Pacific Drapery was especially helpful and patient in their willingness to meet with us to discuss the myriad elements and even came to our home to ensure that all of the bases were covered as we neared completion. The end result was a one-of-a-kind, ingenious, beautifully constructed and handsome drape specifically tailored to our unique constraints .......... above and beyond our expectations ! We should also mention that every member of their team was helpful and pleasant every step of the way. We look forward to using them for our next project.
