Our House Design Center

First, the good part. Patty helped me get the design I wanted. We have a very nice kitchen. The process was terrible to say the least. Telephone response was terrible & it would take days sometimes before I would get a return call. The project had TONS of problems, most related to Our House Design. The kitchen cabinets were ordered in November 2008. When they were due to arrive in March 2009, we found out they had ordered them incorrectly. They begged us to stay with them & that they would do everything in their power to make sure things went smoothly from there on. So, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. In June 2009 the cabinets arrived & we began the installation. Day one, the installers said the layout plans were not very detailed, so I requested that Our House send our Patty, our designer. She was not available!! so Suzanne came out and did the best she could, but she was not very familiar with the project (and this was a large kitchen). The project had so many problems, that I can only list a few, but here are some: we went through 3 valances before the size was correct; 2 doors too tight so reordered & they ordered the wrong size again (we never got them), the first sink was too small, granite installers were not paid by Our House & they called us telling to let us would put a lien on our house. This was resolved, but it never should have happened. The boss never apologized. The kitchen is STILL NOT DONE. I called Our House several times since Christmas & have not heard back from them on the remaining items needed. So, I have called in another company to finish the details still needed, which are legs for the sink, onlays for the valance, feet for the island, and the replacement of the doors which do not fit. So we will have to PAY AGAIN to have these items done.

Took my basic design and built on it to make best use of the space in my small kitchen. Patty was able to take the dimensions of my new applicances and work the cabinets around them to make an outstanding plan. She works well with the contractor I have to do the countertops and the installation.
