Estimate given by field tech, approved over the phone as it was time sensitive work. 20 minutes later, after giving billing information, the estimate went up by close to 15%, for permit fees (that I asked about during initial estimate, was told weren't needed). Agreed to additional permit fee, with the understanding that it would be for the fee only, no markup. Technician agreed, work was to start ASAP. Unfortunately I wasn't told that the tech would instead leave to work another job. Job was eventually completed a few days later, work done was technically correct. Then it got even more interesting. Was told I would be billed when all work completed on morning of last day scheduled. Instead there were multiple attempts to charge my card the night before, for considerably more than the agreed amount, with no final invoice presented. Fortunately, as the company looks to be based in Phoenix rather than here in San Diego, that triggered a fraud alert, card cancelled. It took another two days to get all to agree to the original (already increased price) quote, and it's my opinion that I would have had no chance doing so if the late night charge attempt had gone through. Communication with the billing person was fine, however the site supervisor was argumentative. Final issue was a 3 page "terms and conditions" document - sent after the work was done - that had a clause stating clients can't post reviews (like this one) without their approval. Of course, that's not right or legal, and I informed them of that, no response. Short version? In the end the work was done, but it cost more than agreed, with more hassle than needed. Be sure to get a written quote/estimate, with all terms and conditions spelled out, and don't provide credit card information until the job is done.

They completed everything and it went very well. If our plumbing never has an issue like this again i'll be extremely happy.

They are the best! It was under $50 for them to come out and clear my drain on a Saturday night. They had great personalities and were very accommodating.

I like the guy. I think the overcharged me for the pressure regulator. I thought it was a lot. I was very happy with them. The guy was friendly and helpful.

We had a backup on a Monday afternoon on President's day. We had never needed a plumber before and my husband found these guys online. They came out and determined the problem was a clogged sewer main and our house was older and didn't have a mainline cleanout. They quoted us an amount to do the work and since we were "over a barrel" with the backup and not really able to wait for a bunch of estimates, we had them do the work. They later determined there were roots in the line that needed to be cleaned out and quoted us a price for that, but since it wasn't urgent, we decided to call for a few estimates. We did some research to find plumbers with good reviews and found a couple and had them come out. Both quotes for the root removal was half what Option One wanted, and when we asked them to check out the work Option One had already done with the cleanout, they both indicated that not only had we been MASSIVELY overcharged, but that they had installed an incorrect type of cleanout, and in the wrong place. Then, when I called them on it they promised to refund $1,000 and only refunded $850. A huge ripoff - just think of them as a leper colony, and avoid them! DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! RUN AWAY REALLY REALLY FAST!!!!!!! I have reported them to the BBB, the state regulatory licensing board, here at Yelp, and anywhere else I can think of - WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!
