I called Nutter Appliance to fix my Thermador oven because it wouldn’t heat. Ken, the Thermador technician, was very professional and knowledgeable. He took the oven out of its enclosure and then checked the heating element, wires to heating element, mother board, relay switch that sends current to the heating element, and the Interlock air switch, which closes when the oven fan is blowing to prevent the oven from overheating. The problem was that the Interlock air switch wasn’t closing so that the oven wouldn’t turn on. It was fortunate that I called Nutter Appliance because they had Thermador switch even though the part was no longer available from Thermador. I was really pleased with Nutter Appliance and highly recommend them.

Diagnosed and repaired in one visit.

I had good experience with them. I thought they were very professional, handled everything that way and it was done on time and correctly. They were right here.

The technician needed to return, because the problem persisted. He returned promptly and the repair was successful.

The issue with the draining was resolved within minutes by removing the debris from sink air gap. For the other issue the technician troubleshooted all the possible causes and after further consultation the suspect was the water circulating pump that may not be working 100% due to hard water caused calcification. The cost of replacing the motor is high so for now did not go ahead with the motor replacement since it is still working fine. I was only charged for the service call and the arrival was very timely. I would use the service again.

We have a Bosch dishwasher. We were contacted by mail by Bosch stating that a part needed to be repaired and in the meantime, we should not use our dishwasher. They said to contact one of two companies in San Diego to have the part replaced. I called Nutter Appliance and talked to a lovely gentleman who I assume is the owner of the company. He was quite competent. He was all business and said "This is the way this works. We don't have the parts. We have to wait until consumers contact us and then we contact Bosch for the parts. They don't send them to us immediately, so it might be a couple of months." He then told me that we could still use the dishwasher, but the risk, which was small, was that something would overheat, causing a fire during the drying time. So he said to use it without the drying cycle, or else make sure we're home if using the drying cycle. We were finally contacted that the part came in (which did take months) and make an appointment for the repairperson to come. He arrived, was quite curt, did not wipe his feet at the front door, came in, asked where the dishwasher was, took 2 second to try to remove it and said "I can't remove it, so I can't replace the part." My husband looked at it and the repairperson said "I have to go now." My husband asked if he could leave the part and he said "Liability prevents me from doing so." The guy left within 1 minute of entering the house. My husband, who never says an unkind word about anyone said "Wow. I can't believe how unhelpful that guy was." Yeah, no kidding.

Jessie was able to replace the motherboard (a very expensive error on our part - the board itself costs close to $300 ). He was able to totally redo all the wiring on the motherboard and found that the housing itself needed to be replaced. He did not charge me anything at all until he was able to order the replacement housing and returned next week to install it. Oven works beautifully and he was quick and very knowledgeable. Wonderful.

It took Ken about two hours to repair the dishwasher, but he only charged for one hour because he seemed to think that he should have figured out what was wrong in less time. When he left he grabbed some reading glasses off the counter, and I thought they looked a lot like mine. He returned them personally two days later, saying he thought they were his, but he was mistaken. I am so impressed with his service that I will definitely called Nutter's for future appliance repair.

My dishwasher has been giving us problems since Thanksgiving. I called Nutter appliance after reading the reviews on Angie's List and called up. I had an appointment set for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but the owner called that Tuesda and told me their whole crew was wiped out by the flu. He apologized and gave me another name for a repair service that worked on Bosch dishwashers, but I couldn't schedule them. I called one of the generic appliance companies that also had good review's on Angie's list because I just wanted it fixed before the Holidays. Well, needless to say that turned into a series of lost money, waiting around for appliance repairmen and never solving the problem. I called Nutter again and they scheduled me in for ten days later. They must have a small crew which is why it took so long. I had to call at 8:00 am the morning they were scheduled to come out and they'd give me my window of time when the repairman would be there. No doubt a pain in the rear, but something I think just has to be dealt with by those with downed appliances. I decided to leave a key outside for him (always makes me a little nervous, but I was desperate). The guy was right on time and was working on the machine by the time I could make it back to meet him. Very nice though not overly chatty man. He took off the front panel of the dishwasher, something the other company never did, checked out all the parts, tested them, and finally fixed the problem by removing pieces of plastic, porcelain, grape stems, and other sundry items from my drain trap. He said that often is the problem with Bosch machines. Guess what! He was right. All that time, money, and energy with the other company telling me they would have to replace the mother board or heating element at around $600.00 total and it came down to pieces of junk in the trap. Needless to say, I was very happy to have such an honest, easy solution to a two month old problem. I was derailed by the flu bug and my own lack of patience. Be patient. Wait for these guys; don't bother with the others it will end up taking twice and long and at least three to four times the frustration and cost.

It was phenomenal. I called them and they showed up the next day. The serviceman was very polite, clean, neat, punctual, and professional. He was in and out; he did the work and was done.

The repairman arrived within the time frame promised and was very pleasant. He had seen this problem before and went about retrieving the cover. Although the fan cover proved to be stubborn, he was able to get it out and put the fan mechanism back in place. It was great to have a competent and personable repairman in our home. I will call Nutter again if I need appliance repair.

Technician arrived, checked outside panel to make certain power was still on. Opened up bottom to expose internal wiring, reset the internal trip and replaced kick-plate. The dishwasher was up and running within 5 minutes.

They were professional, courteous, and they were on top of scheduling. I received calls confirming the appointment the day before, and a call on the day of the appointment giving me an ETA. That shouldn't be a big deal, but I've found that level of organization to be the exception rather than the rule lately. The tech was friendly, efficient, and obviously knew his stuff. He was also very entertaining, as he was talking to the dishwasher while he was working on it. I do that when I'm working on computers so I found it refreshing that I'm not the only one that talks to inanimate objects! I was prepared to replace more parts as needed, but the tech said the warranty repair would do the job and there was no reason to spend more money. Again, that shouldn't be a big deal, but to receive service without the follow-up "up-sell" on service or parts was refreshing. I would have no hesitation calling them for work in the future based on the way they handled this call.

I was calling around to see if I can find free estimates to fix a washer and some guy said he that this company didnt do washers but to be careful about companies that offer free estimates. That was such awesome advice, THANKS! Too bad Nutter appliance didnt fix washers because I would have hired them due to their honesty and integrity!

Ken replaced inner door on 1/8/2013 came back on 1/25/2013 to install hanger.

T he person who installed the glass pack showed up during the time I was told he would. He was very courteous and friendly. He cleaned up behind himself , and answered other questions I had pertaining to kitchen appliances.

The service man was very courteous and knowledgeable. He was quick, did not try to sell us on services we didn't need. Offered advice on how to maintain both the disposal and stove. Very friendly and nice. I would definitely call again for future service needs!

I called Nutter and they had Richard out the next day well within the 2 hour window given to me. He had worked for Dacor and really knew the stove well. He was professional, friendly and a fountain of information. After replacing the burned out element, he gave me a few cooking tips about the stove. I felt the price was well worth the serviced performed and I will call Nutter again.

Overall the job was fine. The repair man was here only about 45 minutes from start to finish.

I called Nutter Appliance to fix my garbage disposal. Instead of scheduling an appointment, they walked me through how to check if the garbage disposal was actually broken or if there was just something stuck in it, and then how to remove the stuck item. This saved me a lot of time and money and demonstrated great integrity on the part of Nutter Appliance. Next time I have a real problem, I will definitely call them again.

He did a fine job. Nutter is one of the few authorized Viking repair agencies in SD. So I'm relieved they did a good job for a reasonable price. We also asked him about our Bosch dishwasher, but I think he was running late and didn't have much time to look at it.

Unfortunately the computerized part that had to be fixed was quite pricey. It went fine and I liked that he explained what needed to be fixed and also why it was so pricey. He also gave me an option of coming back and doing it again, if I wanted to do some research.

This was another company that gave me a great savings. Beings that the dishwasher would not run at all, they took the time to find exactly what the problem was. I believe this is a trustworthy establishment and I would use them again if I would ever need this type of service again.
