NATIVA UNIQUE HOME FURN & ART

It has been over a year since I set foot in the Nativa furniture store on University Avenue (the store moved from 4th Avenue) so although this report may be old, it is still valid. I purchased a diningroom hutch after looking at the piece of furniture for several months. The piece in the store had a short backsplash. There was an identical piece used as staging in an open house in the neighborhood but the piece in the open house didn’t have the backsplash (which I preferred). When I asked Jon-Paul at the store he told me that they all have a backsplash but then after he spoke to the owner found out the backsplash can be taken off. Both the piece in the store and the one at the open house were the same color finish. I ordered the hutch and when it arrived it was a different stain color than the ones on display. When I questioned Nativa about the different color they said they would refinish the piece to the color of the ones on display. Prior to redelivery I inspected the piece at a warehouse and found it unacceptable. The outside was refinished but the inside was not. When the doors were opened you could see the two different colors. I refused to accept the furniture and requested a refund. After more than four months of promises they refunded my money, LESS $83.00 for delivery. After fighting for the delivery refund they stood firm and said they would credit it to my next purchase. I will NEVER but anything from Nativa. I think they are dishonest and owe me the delivery fee I paid as it was their fault the wrong piece was delivered. I feel they robbed me of $83.00 and will not set foot in that store ever again. If I rating lower than an “F” was available, they sure earned it.
