I don't understand why all the reviews are so bad. I just hired this company last weekend and they were amazing! They were very careful with our furniture, wrapped it all very nicely. I'm not a professional mover but it looked like the way any other moving company handles furniture. The two guys that came were really hard workers. I felt so bad our elevator broke near the end of the move so luckily they were almost done but still had a couple big items to move. Overall, great experience and decent price given the hours and all the materials used. Definitely recommend!

Oh where to begin. Don’t trust your "estimate" for your move. They quoted me a time of 4-6 hours. We ended up at 7.5 hours. Pretty close. The final bill was $1000 more than the "estimate" that was given to me by the sales guy. When I questioned this with their support after the move, and why my estimate was so far off, I was told "sometimes you take your car in for a tire, and it ends up being the engine, so your bill is higher". Actual quote. Not kidding. They damaged a lot of my furniture in ways that aren't repairable, including a 1-off hand made guitar. The waiver you sign says you get "60 cents a pound" as compensation. More than $6000 worth of my property was damaged beyond repair. My settlement? $250. They bumped it to $300 "for my trouble". Great job guys. Really appreciate that. Can you sense the sarcasm? The salesmen aren't going to even mention to you that you have the option for a 3rd party insurance company to properly value your items. Do yourself a favor and do that. These guys aren't going to be helpful at all. I've moved countless times. I've never dealt with a company more frustrating than this. I don't recommend them at all. If you do use them, protect yourself with your own insurance. They couldn't care less about your property, just what California says is legal. To put it bluntly, they aren't legally required to pay more damages by the state, so they won't. Even in special circumstances like a handmade guitar with a $1000 paint job, or a priceless hand-carved jewelry box.

We reached out to Move Central Moving & Storage for a quote for a move. The move would be a local move, only 12 miles away, for a studio apartment. Everything would be packed prior to arrival. We were quoted around $1,024 dollars for the move by Leo and required a $500 hold. The move was in 2 parts first to their storage then from storage to the new place days later. The move would include blankets and wrap to protect my items during the move. As the move was approaching we called back again and spoke to a different person, who then explained that on top of the $500 Hold, an ADDITIONAL $636 hold would be placed on our credit card twice for a total of $1772. The reason given was that they had been burned before.Upon arrival the men, Omar and Ferndancio(sp) requested to view the apartment during which they commented how the move wouldn’t take long at all and to make sure they went beyond the 3 hour minimum. Before the move begin they notified me that blankets and wrap cost extra and tried to charge my card another $500 fraudulently. With all of the boxes packed, and only a handful of items still in the apartment, we assisted one of the movers while the other was on his phone swearing and talking about us while in the room. At one point our couch fell and we ran to catch it so it would not be damaged. The move concluded and we were told that travel time and unpacking to the storage unit were part of the charge. The entire move was done in around 3 Hours, yet the Movers proceeded to sit in the truck even after we had time to drop off our key, clean the apartment, and check out with the office. At around 4 hours we received a call notifying us we were charged for 6.5 Hours. This was based on an “estimate” of how long they predicted it would take. The movers accidentally let it slip that they weren’t even going back to the Storage place and had another move they had to go to right after which was during the time we were charged. Over the next few days conversations went back and forth and Angel of Move Central agreed 6.5 hours for that type of move was unacceptable. We asked to not have these movers involved in the second half of the move. We spoke Angel, Max, Caesar and Carlos(CJ) all of who assured us that that these movers would not be involved in the second half of the move. CJ shared they were not scheduled that day so it would not even be possible to be our movers” However, Omar and Ferdancio(sp), the same movers who were involved in the on-going dispute showed up on the day of the move. Upon their arrival they immediately made it clear they were aware of the complaints that had been made. 
As a result we noticed immediately our property had been intentionally damaged in retaliation. Items were dragged on pavement, scratched, thrown and broken. Despite finishing early again, they charged 6.5 hours Of this charge 2.5 hours were spent after they lost parts of our bed frame, blamed us, then put it together wrong so had to do it 3 more times. Right before they left they asked to use our bathroom in our brand new place. Leaving quickly after we went in to find they had URINATED all over our floors and toilet.
Calls were made to Angel immediately and we were assured that all of the property would either be repaired or replaced . While he worked on the issue he told us he would be immediately refunding $200 of the $1685 we were charged. In follow-up conversation he confirmed again the money had already been returned. It had not.
 We mail over a copy of all of the damages with photos of the damage.After 4 days of no response we reached out and were put in contact with Carlos (CJ) of Dispatch.He was the rudest told us we were owed nothing because we accepted the quote, even though we never signed off at the end of the move. He laughed when I asked him about the urination which we provided photos of and said "well that's not damage." How Much did the Project Cost: $1675.25 but $5,400 in damages

NEVER use this company. Their customer service is terrible. On July 28th, 2023 I moved using Osmon moving from my house in Glendale. In the process of my move the movers broke my table saw by dropping it on its side. This table saw is no longer manufactured so the part that broke is not manufactured either. They told me to contact there customer service to get it resolved. I contacted them and they asked if i could send documentation of the damage. I did... and never heard back from them. I called again and the number was DISCONECTED. I then called again and found out that the company had gone under and was now owned by MOVE CENTRAL. I asked to get the claim resolved through them and was told they would call me back. They never did. I contacted them again and they assured me someone was handling the old Osmon claims and they would transfer me to customer service for more information I was transferred there and the HEAD of their customer service said i needed to contact Osmon moving because it wasn't move central that damaged my saw. I will remind you at this point that OSMON DOESN'T EXIST. I told him this and he said it wasn't their problem. I asked if it could be escalated to anyone at the company and he said no. I have been told 4 times now that they will "investigate it" and also 4 times that "there is nothing they can do about it." Osmon was insured for damages of 60 cents per pound. The total weight of the saw is 253 lbs. They are dodging a pay out of 153 dollars. This amount of hesitation to acknowledge any liability is so petty. What does THAT say about this company? They will give you the run around. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Read reviews on BBB and Yelp. They are a scam. Junior will pretend like he wants to help and say that what was done is not ok and then avoid and ignore your calls to solve the issues. This company came to do a pack job only. They didn't pack more than 60% of what they were shown to pack in the initial walk through and did not do a final walk through. Instead they sneak out the door when you are on the phone. They did not use all of our supplied materials and charged an extra $460 for theirs. They left the home a mess. Look at the items sticking out of the box! They take advantage of elderly people. All the cabinets and closets were open for them to pack and as you can see in the photos, they were not packed. They asked if we wanted all of the photos and items on the walls packed which was a yes. They took ONE photo off the wall and left the rest. This place is a joke.

I hired Move Central to do my cross-country move, and it's been a nightmare. They sent a rep, Christian, to do a walk-through of my home and provide an estimate, which was just over $10k. My husband and I hired them, and on moving day they sent three loaders and a project manager, estimating that the job would take 3 hours. The movers were constantly on breaks, had no idea what they were supposed to be moving, and the project manager slept in the cab of his truck. They could not fit everything in the truck, and this process took over 8 hours. We had to throw away a bunch of stuff that wouldn't fit and ship a palette of about 1000 pounds of other items. The next morning, we received a phone callas we were trying to leave our home in CA for Ohio stating that the truck was overweight and they needed to charge us an extra $9k. The sales rep said he could get us a "discount" down to $6k. My husband told him to write up the quote and we'd look at it. Fast forward to move in day in Ohio. Only half of our stuff has arrived, most of the furniture damaged in some way. The company offered a settlement of $350 for the damages, which I would estimate are going to cost at least $2,000 to repair/replace. The two guys they contracted to load in said there was supposed to be a third, but the project manager again was asleep in the cab and refused to help. My husband helped unload the truck. On this date, I began calling MoveCentral to try to determine what items they still have and to dispute the extra $6k charge. The estimate should NEVER be this far off. I have yet to receive an updated bill of lading; the bill of lading they have sent me repeatedly has items on it that were left in California or disposed of. Whenever I call customer service, I get the run around and am either passed off or hung up on. My next move will be to file formal complaints. This behavior is egregious, the company is in violation of several laws, and they fraudulently represented how much the move was going to cost in order to get the business. They are now holding my belongings hostage and demanding more money. I have not been provided with evidence of any weight assessments. Such a disappointment in a hugely stressful time.

We were scheduled for 8:30 am pickup in Cardiff by the Sea. I waited until 9:30, then called....they did not know (or they said) they were to come that early....thought it was between 8:00 and 10:00. At 10:20, they still had not arrived. The dispatcher said they would be there in 20 minutes. I told them if they were not there by 11:00, I was cancelling the job. I waited until 11:15, then I left and went back to San Marcos. They called me at 12:00 noon and said they were on their way. I would never, ever hire these people. I talked to three different men (Carlos, Cezar and Alex) who all made promises and did not deliver. They had NO RESPECT FOR MY TIME!!!!

Only issue was they wouldn't touch bags n bundles. Everything needed to be in a box for them to take. Luckily for me the crew that moved had a huge box they use for most of it. That all must be boxed or it doesn't go clause should be emphasized up front

I have used this company twice in the last few months. The movers were punctual, professional, had possitive attitude, were friendly and worked fast. There was absolutely no damage. I needed full packing of my 3bdr 1800sqf home, so the packers came a day before the move and put everything in boxes for me. On move day the movers loaded everything in their 26Ft truck and took my items to their storage (I didn't even need to go with them). Then when escrow closed, I just called them and on short notice they were able to bring my items to my new house. By the way, they offer 1 month of storage free. All the time during the move they collaborated with each other to move the heavy stuff. They not only completed the job, but they anticipated our needs and they are sincere, authentic people - truly expert movers who made the whole experience hassle and worry free. Me and my wife we highly recommend Move Central. We have never had such a pleasant and seamless moving experience.

It went really well, They did a fantastic job securing the items and worked very quickly and carefully. None of the items were damaged. It took four hours total with three movers, which was really quick considering they had to use elevators to move the items into the new apartment.

Not only were they punctual (with call to confirm the day before), they were reasonably priced, professional, and FAST (but careful with all of our stuff)! Started at 830a and done by 330p... what more can you ask for?? If I ever have to move again, these guys will be our "go to" every time! Absolutely recommend them!

At the end of May, 2015, we needed to move a one bedroom condo from La Jolla to San Francisco to a second floor apartment on a hill. They were on time, cheerful, hard working, accommodating, and generally very thoughtful, pleasant guys. They delivered the goods, the first thing the next morning where we had the brother/son accept the delivery in SF. Again, it was the same guys who knew what they were doing and had taken care that the plants and other fragile items arrived intact and in good shape. One stem of a glass broke because I had put it in the box wrong. That's it. Everything was in great shape even with fragile pictures and some pretty heavy boxes. This was so unlike earlier moves both within California and between California and elsewhere that we had had that I was amazed. As an example, the large screen TV was fine even without the special crates that other movers charge $150 for (we had a TV go bad in one of those). The price was the norm of other bids and less than some. They were responsive every time I contacted them before we accepted the bid and after--even months later when I needed a formal receipt which I had misplaced. These are the guys to use and I wish they were up here for any next move. Can't say enough good about them. They are honest, friendly, and professional. I just want to add that usually moving is a frantic, fraught time and that to have confidence in the movers like these folks, is priceless. 10+/10

You get what you pay for. These guys did a great job. They took the time to wrap all of the furniture in blankets and celophane and were very careful with everything. They worked steadily and got the job done in an accepptable ammount of time. I know there are cheaper movers out there but I appreciate the value they added to the experience by doing it right!
