1) The qualify of the wood install is excellent. Great craftsmanship. 2) Installation of the base board was good. 2) Extra glue was left on some areas of the install. I had to remove some of it myself. 3) The demo folks did not show up when promised.

Awesome company, great service. From the beginning, my wife and i felt we could trust the owner Sean. Total stand up guy that delivers. We are very happy with our floors. We've had a few minor parts that have gotten damaged and Sean has been fair and accommodating. Well worth considering for your next job!

Having just purchased a house with floors I didn't like, I went shopping around for hardwood floors. I'd heard good things about Lumber Liquidators, but I needed to have my flooring installed right away and they didn't have in stock the flooring I wanted. I'd heard that McQuaid Flooring was the "go-to" installer for the local Lumber Liquidators store, so I decided to speak with them directly - and I'm glad I did. Sean McQuaid understood the situation I was in, and he was able to find a distributor a few hours away that could get the flooring to me overnight. After all of that trouble, I felt bad when I asked Sean to change the order for a different style. The flooring was already en route to my place, though, and I thought Sean was going to be pretty annoyed with me. If he was, he sure didn't show it. He was as courteous and helpful as he was in our first phone call. I had a lot of questions for Sean throughout the demolition, preparation, and installation processes. He was always prompt to reply to my texts and emails, and he made sure I understood exactly what was going to be done. I was equally impressed with the professionalism of the crew who installed my flooring. I expected them to be very good installers, but I wasn't expecting the level of courtesy they displayed - it's just not common these days. The whole job was done in a few days, and it looks amazing! I appreciate the attention to detail on things I didn't even think to ask about. For example, the wood on the elevated foyer is lined up exactly with the wood on the floor below. My flooring has boards of three different widths, so those two levels wouldn't line up like that without a conscious effort to make it so. When the whole job was done, Sean and the crew hauled away all of the debris from their job along with some that had been left by a painter I had hired (but won't again). They did a great job of cleaning up the dust that had settled throughout the house, too. I'm surprised that I'm the first to review McQuaid flooring on Angie's List. It's a family business that's been around for over 25 years, so I'm sure my flooring isn't the first to have been done so well.
