Seamlessly and prefect....I was so amazed

We had Marcelino Custom Finishes refinish the ceiling beams and support posts in our living room. These beams and posts originally were battleship gray in color and he been that way for over 40 years. Marcelino refinished them to look like natural, stained wood for a more rustic, contemporary look. The work was excellent and it is impossible to tell these beams and posts are actually painted instead of stained. He even put in dynamic highlights like natural-looking graining, slight variations in tone. We are extremely pleased with the outcome, and they match very well with the wood flooring we installed during our remodeling project. I would highly recommend Marcelino Custom Finishes. Thank You!

Marcelino came to inspect what we wanted done and sent us a proposal promptly. He made sure we were happy with the colors before they started and provided samples so we could be sure. On the day the crew arrived he was on site to give instructions answer any questions we might have. When the project was complete he returned to inspect it with us. He was fair and prompt and followed through on every detail. Very professional.

Excellent experience, but more than we were willing to pay.

Marcelino has completed two other artistic painting projects at my home so I looked forward to having another example of his talent on display. He is professional in all aspects of his work, arriving on time for scheduled appointments, protecting surrounding surfaces before beginning a project, and thoroughly cleaning up at the end of each day. When he came to my home for the initial appointment to discuss the project, he took digital photos of the surfaces surrounding the mirror (e.g. granite countertop, backsplash tile, sconce). He returned a few days later with two samples he'd prepared for me to choose the technique and colors he would use to create the finished project. The result was a beautiful metallic finish with lots of depth that complements colors in the granite, the sconce and the grout color of the backsplash. He is truly amazing! The job was completed in a few hours and we could not be happier. The two previous projects Marcelino completed for me were wall treatments. In the first, he painted a slate fireplace wall that was dated in both color and style. Not wishing to go through demolition to tear down the wall, we hired Marcelino to paint it. He did so and then color washed it to give it a soft suede-like appearance that looks beautiful with no construction! In the second project, he added a rich dark border approximately one foot in from the walls on a tall ceiling of a bedroom. He then produced an alabaster like finish inside of the border to create more interest. It is truly excellent work.
