 + -1 moreAfter I saw her website, I could tell that she does top-quality work and I was willing to trust her with this project. In addition to her skill as an upholsterer, she has an "artist's eye" that helps with choosing fabrics, trims, and other options. She provides huge numbers of fabric samples in her workshop, so I was able to work directly with her to choose a suitable fabric and trim. She was good about keeping me informed about the progress of the job. Because the sofa has been re-built with quality features, I expect this upholstery job will hold up for many years. I highly recommend Lisa Davis and I plan to give her all my upholstery business in the future.
Description of Work: A friend recommended Lisa Davis when I was looking for someone to re-upholster an old Duncan Phyfe style sofa that had been in my family for decades. The job required removing all the original upholstery (probably 70-80 years old) all the way down to the wooden frame, then refinishing the exposed part of the wooden frame and building the sofa back with new padding, springs, and fabric covering.
