Called leather Medic, set appointment to get sofa repaired. Tech showed up on time and was very professional. He quoted me a price of $300.00, which I thought was a little high for such a small area. The tech assured me the repair would be nearly invisible. Trusting his word, I gave him the okay and left the room. The repair took about one hour. When I saw it was a different color and quite rough I asked why this was, The tech assured me it would look better when dried, so I paid him cash, $300. The next day it was dry, it was like rough sand paper, and not the same color at all. I gave it a week, and no change in color or texture. I called leather Medic three times, leaving messages. About a week later Leather Medic called back. We set another appointment. Leather Medic arrived on time, and agreed repair looked rough and said he would redo repair. Once again I left the room, about one half hour later, second repair was done. It looked a little better this time but not what I expected. Again, I waited a week for repair to dry. Repair still did not look good, so I called Leather Medic again. Leaving two messages, finally got a call a week later. I told Leather Medic I was not happy with his repair, he said he would come back and check it out. The following week, Leather Medic came back to inspect his second repair, by now his repair was starting to peel off. Opon his inspection, I was told by Leather Medic my sofa was bonded leather and there was nothing more he could do. My sofa is top grain leather from Macys, and was very expensive. About one month later the sofa kept peeling more and more, Leather Medic will not return my calls. Very pour workmanship and bad customer service.
Description of Work: Repair of a leather couch cushion that a friends dog had scratched. I did not see the process, but took about 1 hour.
