I'm still in disbelief over what happened. Clarke came out and seemed like a nice guy. We had a plan in hand designed by our son-in-law, a landscape architect. He took the plan with him after we went over the details. He mentioned that he would get to our quote in a few days. A week or two passed with no response. We wanted three bids and his was the third one. Finally I called to give him the benefit of the doubt. No answer and no call back. Finally another couple of weeks passed and i called again, mainly out of curiosity. He answered and sounded totally confused. He said he "lost his notes." Then when I explained who I was, the address and location of our home, he thought he remembered the place but was still confused. Finally he said, "So is this the number I can reach you at? I'll get back to you." Nothing has happened since and we would not hire him considering this experience. After several of Angie's Lists referrals (we are members) I am beginning to wonder what the benefit is over Yelp. Many of these companies are also reviewed on Yelp. Somewhat disappointed in a few of our experiences with Angie's List and this one with Le Perv Landscape really stands out as a big disappointment--especially for a company that has been in business this long.

Our yard is a nightmare to trim and clean - lots of exotics, tons of plan waste. It's a huge job that several landscape companies have refused it (which tells you it must be pretty tough!). Clarke and his crew are a breeze to work with - they did a fantastic clean up that got our yard back into shape. They also took care of our sprinklers which weren't working correctly. Now they do our maintenance and the yard looks great. They're professionals and they get the job done.

I did not want to spend that much money on the hill, so I didn't do anything at this time. I may get them back at a later date

I appreciated being called back promptly for the initial contact. I meet with the owner/foreman the next day. The workers arrived early and worked 8 hr. straight except for lunch. They dug a huge wheelbarrow full of tree roots that had encroached under our brick patio. They also did a great job of cleaning up.

The crews were courteous and nice. However, the workmanship was mediocre. They build a deck and we weren't satisfied with the way the deck was put together. Some areas have large gaps where other areas have no gaps at all. There are small part of some of the boards are start to popping up due to the lack of gap. Then they supposed to cut down trees and brushes, before laying down the concretes, pavers and building the deck. Well, they did cut down the trees and brushes, but didn't use root kills to kill the root. Now, I have things growing underneath my deck, my planter area have small trees growing. I guess moral of the story is that you better have everything written down precisely before starting the work. Maybe putting the root kills was not in the contact, but we really thought that a professional would do that without a written or verbal agreement because that's the part of this type of job.

They are really good. They listen to my requests. They are very responsive. Their price is competitive if not better than some. They are reliable.
