Dan was professional and arrived on time in a UPS size truck. He cleared out the clogged pipe with a power snake that took about 15 mins and replaced my cleanout cover with a new compression cover to prevent future leaks. There wasn't much else that needed work. However, I was shocked by how much I needed to pay for this work. I thought it would be around $120 based on past work done from other plumbers but it wasn't the case. I paid $175 for the clearing of the pipe, $20 for the cleanout cover, and a ridiculous $45 for "Truck Operational Surcharge". I understand the $175 if that is minimum labor hour charged but to charge a customer $20 for a cleanout cover that cost an average of $5 at Home Depot is unfair. It is completely absurd for me to pay $45 to make sure the truck he arrived in is operational. I have friends that are contractors and they all say that this type of fee in included with labor to cover their cost of maintenance. Even my 15% first time customer discount couldn't pay off the truck fee. I guess I should have asked up front the cost of the job before it was done.

The man that came out was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He did great work, and even educated me on some plumbing information that I was unaware of prior to his visit.

Good response, started as indicated, performed work (one part did did not fit so I had to get a new one), was helpful and courteous throughout.

Larry showed up on time, provided an honest estimate, and then fixed the problem. He was friendly, personable, and honest.

came the next day . provided good quality replacement part at a reasonable price. excellent workmanship, cleanup etc.

They came back after ordering some new flanges for my roman tub faucet set. When they determined I would need a new faucet all together they refused to charge me for the additional time and offered to come back should I or my husband need help installing the new faucet system. Overall it was a pleasant experience. After the services they performed, I now have access to the roman tub plumbing with new shut-off valves and flex lines upgraded.

He was prompt in responding to our request, courteous and thorough.

Larry's associate was prompt, work swiftly and completed the job by checking the washer and dryer performance.

It went fine, the problem was repaired. The repair took about a half hour. The valves were replaced with valves obtained from the truck. Both plumbers were amiable although Mr. Hudson was a bit brusque.

We have used them many times. They were just here Monday. I always find them to be prompt, courteous, reliable, and honest and then finally come back every time, that is why I always have them. I found them on Angies list when I first joined and I have continued to use him over the years.

He did have to come back because he had to order a part.

I had been told by more than one plumber from American Home Shield when I had a (useless) warranty that the problems were all due to calcification or a construction flaws and thus none of them were covered by the warranty. Most of them would require destruction of the fixture or going through the drywall to fix. Because of the added expense, I put off fixing these problems. Well,none of it was true. I didn't need to go into the drywall. I didn't need to saw the fixtures off the wall. I didn't need to rip out tile. I can't believe that I put up with annoying and wasteful plumbing problems when Larry Hudson solved them all within a few hours. If I had saved my money on the warranty, I would have had the money to get the problems properly fixed. Larry and his workers are honest, skilled plumbers who show up promptly and give you an Angie's List discount. Wish I had called them a lot sooner.

It was good. Dan is the man. He was the technician that came to my house and he did an excellent job. He gave an estimate, and when the job was over it was a little bit more than what he said. He did the best he could to bring down the price, and it ended up being a little less than the original estimate.

He really knows about plumbing. The only problem I had was that my sink was leaking and had to call him about 3 times to get him to come out and look at it. His pricing was outrageous, but he was professional.

Went great and I felt the prices were fair for the services performed.

After returning home to find water running under the garage door, I knew the 13 year old water heater had given up the ghost. Initially, I tried to upgrade to a tankless unit, but the location of the existing lines made it impossible to vent it properly. I called three plumbers for quotes. Larry Hudson was in the middle of the price range. However, it was his plumber Dan Biggs who sealed the deal. Although it was almost 4PM, Dan offered to drive from my house in Carmel Valley down to National City to pull a water heater from the warehouse and install it that evening - at no extra charge! He returned shortly before 6PM and completed the job a bit after 8PM. He answered all questions with patience and good humor and did a great job with the actual plumbing work. Some customers might ding him for breaking a branch off a succulent and not mopping the garage floor when done. However, I balanced that against not only his willingness to stay late to do the job, but the fact that it was his 25th anniversary and he was leaving on vacation the next morning! Now that's customer service!

Mr. Hudson came by and suggest a do-it-yourself fix. He charged nothing for the advice and is an extremely like-able person.Three cheers for this plumber!

I asked them to come over for a bid, but they didn’t call me back nor did they come. I called and left messages asking to call back for an estimate on a job in my parents’ house, but they never called me back. I will never use him in the future.

This was actually a DIY project, however, my HOA "suggested" having a licensed plumber install (insurance purposes). It took about 15 minutes to complete the work. Actual price would have been $195 but with Angie's list discount it was $165.

Perfect. I called in the afternoon and he said he could get here in a couple of hours. He arrived within that time frame. He is very polite and you feel comfortable having him in your home. I am a woman living alone and he is very respectful and nice. He found the problem right away, fixed it in a very short period of time. Explained what went wrong and waited long enough to make sure the new pipes weren't going to leak. Very professional. I would recommend Larry A Plumbing to anyone. Super service.

I called Larry around 10:00am and he took my info down to have one of his plumbers call me when he got back in the office. He called an hour or so later and told me he could be there at 3:30pm that day. I left work early and I was able to get home 5min before 3:30pm and he was already there ready to work. The plumber was very nice and helpful. He was cracking jokes with me the whole time and we really related on stories that we had of our remodels of both of our homes. I would recommend them anytime and if I run into another plumbing issue I can't fix I will be giving Larry a call again

It took him longer than I thought it would. The cost was more than I thought and I am having trouble getting a receipt.

Lary was on time. he immediately grasp the situation and set about to repair the master bedroom toilet. he had the replacement parts on his truck and completed the repair in under an hour.
