Larry A Hudson Plumbing

I called Larry about our leaking pipe and he came over the next day. Because we weren't going to be home, and because he'd done work for us before, I felt comfortable leaving the back door unlocked so he could come in on his own. By the time we got home, he was done. I appreciated his promptness, communication, and quality of workmanship. He's also a great human being, which makes having him in your home a pleasure.

We're used him several times and are always happy.

Removed a section of cast iron pipe that was clogged with a root. Installed a 2-direction clean out. Job was over a year ago and I don't remember the exact date or the exact cost, but the cost was greater than $1,000.

We paid a significant sum to change that piping. The noise came back within a week. We then called our builder, he came out and found that it was a simple fix regarding the amount of water that feeds into the pipes. He adjusted the knob by the sink and it fixed the issue. He is very polite, courteous, and he tries to work with his customers, but this experience wasn't all that good for us.

He is just wonderful and really good. I completely trust him and the work he does. He is just the best! I have been using him since 2008.

Larry was on time and I agreed to the original estimate he had given me. He only took one hour and cleaned the bathroom so that it looks just as clean as it was before.

I had a constantly dripping faucet in my kitchen and had been trying to deal with another plumber but kept being put off or not called back at all, so I decided to try someone else and called Larry. It was on a Friday and not an emergency, so I said Monday would be fine. Larry and his helper (son?) arrived just before noon and had a new replacement faucet in his truck which he installed right away. Better than waiting for a replacement part for my old wall-mounted fixture.

After contacting Larry Hudson plumbing they came over and quote 300.00 to detect specifically where the gas leak was located at. We agreed and they came on time the very next morning. They were very professional and their quality of work seemed very above-par. The crew was there about 2 1/2 to 3 hours (came at 9am and left around noon) but their total bill was $490.00 instead of the quoted $300.00. We then asked for a quote to fix the repairs but I don't believe they were interested as they told me several times they would call and email me but I never received another call or email (frustrating when you don't have gas in your house!). Overall they are a high quality plumbing company but I was disappointed to never hear back from them towards an actual quote on fixing the issue and have to leave them with a C on price because they were about 35% higher then they originally quoted to find the leak. We ended up using another plumber for the fix to the gas leak and now have gas again (yaayy!)

It couldn't have gone better. He (Larry's man) even included a 5ft. section of stainless tubing so the refrigerator could be moved out of its cubby hole if needed for repair or just routine cleaning. I was thoroughly impressed. I wish all contractors were this honest and professional. I would recommend him to anyone needing plumbing repairs.

Sink is working great! Larry Hudson made a next day appointment and showed up *before* (awesome!) I was expecting him. It's great when you hear, "we'll be there sometime between 8 and 12", and they show up just before 8?! That's fantastic service.

Mr. Hudson was very professional. The valves that needed to be replaced were more difficult to work on than expected, resulting in an extra hour of work time. He did not complain and did not increase the charge for the work that was completed. All work was completed to my satisfaction.

They came and replaced the wax seal, which didn't do the trick, then realigned the connection which was a little off, that didn't work either. On the 3rd trip out they figured out that there was a hairline crack in the tank which was causing it to look like the water was leaking out of the front. After they figured that out I realized that it probably happened during the Easter earthquake. They are very friendly guys and punctual. I am very glad I called them and I will trust them with service in the future. One note, I was able to get an actual toilet cheaper online (free shipping), so I ordered it and had it delivered to the house, it took an extra week but saved me $100.

Hudson answered the phone right away and called before heading over early Friday morning. Unfortunately, I had to cancel because my problem sink seemed to magically fix itself... she started draining again!! Anyways, if it happens again, I know who to call.

Over all the estimate was great. He did not charge for the estimate and was helpful in suggesting others who may be able to provide assistance.

They were late. However, when they arrived they explained reasons why and were incredibly apologetic. A discount on top of the Angie's List discount was provided to compensate. They were very professional and courteous. The work was done very quickly and with quality parts. I am quite satisfied with the results and I intend to use them again.

no service provide. Would have been nice to at least receive a call asking how it went, or letting us know they couldn't make it.

Larry is fabulous. This is a family business--he learned the trade from his father. Larry has over 60 years of knowledge in the trade. I called on a Sunday and he returned the call that afternoon and showed up the next day. He took one look at our toilet and he jokingly said to his assistant "Dan, we're going to make money on this one!" He then went on to tell me that the brand of toilet we have has a good reputation with the public, but the parts are cheaply made and difficult to find. He knows the business inside and out, tries to repair rather than replace when he can, and is honest as the day is long. He fixed the problem (stop and supply and fill valve) and gave me a $30 discount since I had a coupon from the last time I used his services. I showed him the coupon and he said he already had it because it was in his computer system. I used his services a few months ago for the first time, having seen his name on Angie's list. I forgot to write a review but would have given him an "A" in all categories. On that issue, I called one plumber, told him the problem, and he told me to order the part and then he would come to fix my faucet (if I knew what part I needed, why would I call a plumber?). Larry came out, saw what part I needed, said it would take a while, came back in a couple of weeks, saw that he was sent the wrong part and then travelled 40 miles to pick up the correct part. I love this man! Competence, honesty and integrity at a fair price--hard to find these days!

Our hot water suddenly stopped flowing on a Sunday. I called Hudson Plumbing the next morning and he said he could be out between 11 and 1 that morning. He called at around 10 to see if he could come a little earlier which was great for us! They diagnosed the problem, did the work, and the heater is working fine now. I'll definitely call him when we need future plumbing work done.

Larry had estimated that the work would take 4 hours and he was correct! Larry and Dan were very efficient. The work was done carefully and also with great enthusiasm! Everything looks and operates well! They were so pleasant and informative and really do take pride in their work. They are the plumbers that we will call from now on! Great job!!!

Started off ok, work completed on everything but the cartridge, which he had to locate & order. New washer & dryer delivered, but hot water valve was leaking. Larry came back and replaced that & also the shower valve cartridge. He said that the tub diverter valve didn't need replacing at that time. Son moved in and discovered that shower cartridge wasn't working properly - only had hot water (and low pressure, as the diverter valve needed replacing) Washer installers came back, but hot water valve still was leaking. At that point, I had another plumber fix the washer valve (for an additional $400+). The other plumber indicated that it would cost at least $500 for him to fix the shower cartridge and that it might require a valve replacement for $1000. Although I had asked for refund for the washer valve and cartridge work from Larry, I decided the most cost effective option at this time was to get him to see if he could repair the cartilage and replace the diverter valve. To his credit, Larry did come back and do the work. So far these items are working. Although I've had Larry do plumbing work several times before and was pleased with the service and price, I had a real problem with only the toilet install being done right on the first try this time.

It turned out really well. He was reasonably priced and very personable.

He gave me an excellent service. He came out on time. He showed up in a few hours after I had called him. He and his team did an excellent job of clearing the drain. I am sure I will not have any problems with the drain for a long time now. They gave me the advertised discount. They also sent me another discount coupon, later. I’ll definitely use them again in the future.

This person / business did not respect this customer's valuable time and requirements. Larry did not even bother to call to let my wife and I know why he did not show up when he committed to. Larry shows no sign of respect for the customer, nor any responsibility for the position he leaves his customer in - when he does not fulfill his commitment.

He is fabulous. What I like is that he is an old time plumber and he is really a craftsman; he complains a lot about the big-time plumbing companies and I agree with what he says. He has a lot of opinions which I really appreciate and he has advice online. His pricing has been reasonable; plumbing is expensive and he is definitely in line.
