 + -1 moreWe contacted Knutson Electric on Monday. We inquired about having an electrician come out to install a new electrical outlet in our kitchen for a new dishwasher. They told my husband they did not make calls on the weekend so my husband told them he'd have to check with my schedule during the week to set a time. He called back the next day and attempted to schedule service. They told him the electrician would have to call him back. It's been over three days without a call back.
Description of Work: Attempted to have electrical outlet installed.

 + 0 moreWow! I was very impressed with the services provided by Knutson. I am somewhat new to the area and had some electrical work that needed to be done and I had no idea where to turn. After looking online I came across Knutson. I gave them a call and got through to a technician right away. He took my information down and said he could have an electrician at my house at 9am the next morning. The nice man showed up right on time and I showed him exactly which lights I needed re-wired and he got right to work without hesitating. I had nothing better to do so I asked if I could watch and he said that would be fine and even explained what he was doing so I learned a few interesting new things in the process. I am sure Knutson is doing great if all of their technicians were this professional and friendly. After completing their work, everything works great and I have had no more problems with my lights. I would recommend them to anyone.

 + 0 moreFrom calling and making an appointment with Terry to the time he and his worker left everything went great. I mentioned that I had flickering lights and wanted to have this issue checked out. They arrived at the house on time and proceeded to check every outlet and switch by process of elimination ( removing each faceplate and physically looking at each receptacle) . They found a couple of loose wires, tightened them. I asked them to check the connection from the power pole to the house, up on the roof he went, assured me all was properly connected. They also corrected some "weird" wiring done by the previous owner in the garage. When the work was done, Terry gave me the invoice.....2 guys X 2 hours only $155 WOW! Very satisfied customer, thank you. Will call for any other electrical problems.

Description of Work: I purchased a "Big Deal" from Knutson Electric, but I ended up spending more because they had to do a little bit extra work. They brought an outlet out to my exterior wall and also provided me with an outlet on the inside of the wall as well.

The electrician that performed the job was very curtious, and helpful with moving the items out of the way to make way for them to do the job. When finished he put everything back in place and left the job site clean and orderly. I am very pleased with the job and if I ever need electrical help again I won't hesitate to call Knutson Electric to help me out. Thanks for such a great job! Susan

 + -1 moreI first called Knutson Electric mid February to schedule the installation of an outside electrical outlet. We set up a time and date but at the last minute, my schedule changed. Terry Knutson was extremely professional and accommodating. My schedule freed up for this week and when I contacted him again, although he was very busy, he made the time to fit me in. Ryan was here within the timeframe for the appointment. He was professional, friendly, and knew what he was doing. In a very short time, I had an installed outdoor outlet. He was also meticulous about cleaning up when he was done. Overall, this was a wonderfully positive experience and I would not hesitate to use Knutson Electric in the future.

Description of Work: I had a short in an outside electrical line that served four outlets. Mr. Knutson replied promptly to my afternoon call, replaced a faulty breaker switch, crawled under the house (even though he had not brought his protective coveralls) , braving possible rodents and arachnids, fixed the two outlets there and identified the probable further source of the short in an underground line that I needed to dig up. Days later, when I had done that, he returned with a helper, found the cause of the short in the line and told me the various ways of fixing it, I decided on one, and he and his mate set to it and fixed the line and outlets. They cleaned up, presented a reasonable bill and left. Knutson provides friendly professionals who charge a fair price for good work.

 + 0 moreOn Sunday afternoon, I started to self install three bathroom vanity lights that I bought from Amazon. Extra strange looking wires that I didn't recognize started showing up from behind the wall. Not wanting to jolt myself into the afterlife, I called Knutson Electric Sunday evening and left a message to see if I could be worked in sometime this week. Terry returned my call first thing Monday morning. He had another job that day and wasn't sure if he could squeeze me in so he tried to talk me through the job over the phone. Terry's instructions were clear and concise, but I didn't want to mess with it. He then offered to work me into his busy schedule that afternoon. He and his co-worker showed up around 4pm and finished by 5:30pm. They installed the lights quickly and efficiently, and corrected the uneven mount from before. They did a beautiful job. No muss, no fuss. Great experience!

Description of Work: At night, the electricity when off in the upstairs external walls and in one of the bedrooms. We checked the circuits at the main box but did not switched on/off the circuits at the main box but did not The faucet burst on Christmas Eve, so this was messy work in very cold weather. They were hampered a bit when my dog jumped in their hole to try to bury a chicken leg. They were prompt, cheerful & courteous (they even disposed of the chicken leg for me). They kept the dirt on a tarp and completely and tidily replaced it afterward. I've used this company repeatedly, which happens when you have a 50-year-old house, and they've always gone above and beyond. They warranty their work and nothing has ever gone wrong. On previous jobs, I've pulled the "while you're here, could you look at this, too?" bit. They've done so if their schedule allows, but sometimes said they couldn't, which shows me they respect the customers who are after me.

 + -1 moreTechnically it was all real good, except that they didn?t do quite a bit of plaster repair. I was told that they were going to create that damage and they don?t do it. So I went in with my eyes open and understood that. They were very courteous and prompt. They did good work. I would use them again in future if needed.

I have probably used 10 different contractors in an extensive home remodel. Terry and his assistant Gabriel have been very professional and did quality work. They have been flexible when additional work was ordered. I could not be happier with their pleasant attitude and how well they worked with the other contractors. I cannot imagine using another electrician now that I have used Knutson Electric for out remodel.
Description of Work: Terry Knutson wired 3 ceiling fans, installed 6 kitchen lights, installed a new electric panel and subpanel. He installed 2 outside electric plugs and 8 lights. He installed a 36" above the range microwave. He replaced all the electric plugs in the house and installed 6 additional outlets.
