+ -1 moreKen and Chris are nice guys. Maybe they don't know how to say no. They wasted a lot of our time, and in the end several hundred dollars worth of plans. The overall experience left a bad taste. Not once during the course of our relationship did Ken or Chris explain that I had false expectations of any kind. I am only left to assume that, since they don't return phone calls. In the end, I may be lucky that I didn't end up with a business relationship with them, and that I only wasted hundreds of dollars instead of thousands (pure speculation). These guys are charming, so move forward with caution.
Description of Work: Ken and his partner Chris were eager to bid on our project and courted my wife and I. They were friendly and personable and seemingly trustworthy, so my wife and I asked them to bid our large remodel project ($250k+). They asked us for printed copies of the plans (6 full copies) which cost about $250, despite having soft copies of the plans (all PDF files). This seemed reasonable. They were having subs bid on the project. However, in the end, Ken came back and emailed me saying that the scope of our project didn't fit the services they offered. Having invested hours in meetings (over the course of months) and hundreds of $$ in printed plans for Ken & K2, I would have much rather had them be upfront long prior. They wasted our time and money. As part of Ken's follow on email, he said I could call to further clarify why they made this decision. When I did that, Ken didn't return any phone calls.
