Still waiting. Who does business like this???? Called on Friday afternoon. Called Pest Dept., not Termite. Operator said she would message with Termite Dept., because they had gone home, and they would call me on Saturday. I was very eager to set up appt. Bad termite problem. They finally called Tuesday, set up appt. Had other workers at house, my daughter was home when the appt. would take place a week later. I was at work. No phone call to let me know they were coming. Would have been nice. Came, left card, left. No estimate, nothing. It's been a week. No followup. Do they want business??? I'm confused.

They come on a regular basics and notify me via email prior to coming to my home to do the maintenance. Their work is professional, and when the bugs come more frequently they will come and spray again.

I used Joshua's Pest Control for quarterly pest control services for approximately 5 years, stopping in 2014 or 2015. For the first 4 and 1/2 years I was very satisfied with the work they performed. Then I noticed that the technician was spending less and less time at my residence doing the quarterly service. The last service lasted approximately 10 minutes compared to the 30 to 40 minutes for normal quarterly service. I wrote a detailed letter to Joshua's Pest Control terminating my service with them and explaining why I was terminating their service. I sent the letter via USPS "Registered Delivery Return Receipt Requested" to the Post Office Box address listed on the quarterly billing statements I received. The letter languished for months at Joshua's Post Office Box after which the letter was returned to me. When Joshua's Pest Control Scheduling Agent called me to schedule the next quarterly service I told the agent that I had sent a registered letter terminating my service and Joshua's Pest Control failed to claim my letter from their Post Office Box. A short time latter I received a telephone call from a Joshua's Pest Control Manager asking why I terminated their service. I reiterated the contents of my letter to him and also told him that I was extremely disappointed that Joshua's Pest Control listed a Post Office Box Business address on their billing statements and did not retrieve customer sent correspondence from that Post Office Box. In my opinion Joshua's Pest Control thought they had a guaranteed long term customer that they could cut coroners with without repercussion. Also, one of my close neighbors terminated their quarterly service with Joshua's Pest Control at about the same time I did for the same reason I did. I have used Green Flash Pest Control since I terminated my service with Joshua's Pest Control and I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from Green Flash Pest Control.

Chris who came and did the preliminary inspection to let us know what needed to be done and the pricing and everything, no pressure. He was fantastic. We actually are going to have them come back a second time and give us a quote for putting in the blown in insulation. Then Evan who came out and did the actual dirty work up in the attic spent 7 hours here. He was just energizer bunny, polite, funny, and did the work. If you give 10 stars, they need 20. I can tell you they have very good pricing, very good work, and no pressure sales tactics. They gave us a very thorough inspections. They gave us the pros and cons of the different types of treatments. I cannot give them a higher rating. The young man was here 7 hours and he worked. I think he said he took a lunch break but I couldn't tell you when because every time I saw him, he was moving. There was no bad. They were professional and did the work. They are going to come back to do the blown in insulation. When we go to sell, we're gonna have them come back and do the tenting at that point in time. They were very good. Because we have pets, they were very sensitive to our needs to not have chemicals that would threaten animals. We could not move out because we have older pets and we didn't want to stress them, so they gave us all the options that we could have and we chose the one that was the best for us. We had somebody else come out and actually had them scheduled that same day. My husband forgot we had Joshua's coming out and he said well ok fine, go ahead and give me a quote and they were less than half. Of course they were going to do a different treatment. But the one we were going to have done might not have been that safe. Joshua's gave us a much safer option. When we go to tent, instead of having us pay full price for tenting, you pay the balance. Like the tenting is $2000 and we've already paid $1400 towards it, so they would only charge us $600. We've given their number to our neighbor and he may use them too. So we are going to pass on recommendations to other people.

I scheduled an appointment about a week ago and was advised that the cost would be $219, but because I lived in close proximity to Joshua's office I would be receiving a $100 discount, bringing the total for $119 for an initial visit w/ a 30 day follow-up. When I was contacted to confirm the appointment, the rep advised me that I had been signed up for an annual contract and that in addition to the initial $119, I would be paying $129 for quarterly visits to remove any "additional eggs". First off, there was no mention of signing up for a service contract at all during our conversation. I asked if the $119 was a flat fee, which was confirmed and I was once again told that there would be a 30 day follow-up visit. To me, if the term flat fee and follow-up visit are stated without any mention of a charge for the follow-up, it implies that the follow-up is part of the flat fee. Either way, there was absolutely no mention of signing a yearly contract whatsoever, and it disturbed me a bit that the contract didn't even mention rodents at all, which was the sole reason I called. I can't comment on the quality of their pest control, as I cancelled immediately. However, I'd be hesitant to trust a company that completely skips over explaining any of the real details of their service.

This is a wonderful company. They are friendly and professional. Chris came out to assess my recently purchased property for a rodent exclusion I needed to have done. He was amazing, just knew so much about his field, easy to talk to, and honest! I was so impressed, it is so rare to find a company that has such a work ethic and truly cares about their customers. And the price was very reasonable. I would hire Chris again in a second. This is the company I will use for any pest problems I may have in the future.

I left a voicemail on Sunday, 9/06 regarding a sudden pest infestation. No call was returned by Monday at 10:30 a.m. I called again and spoke with a woman who said she would have a man call me back. I did not get a return call. I called again at 2:00 p.m on Monday and spoke to another woman who said she would get right on it and I would get a call back. I never got a call back ever. I found another very responsive provider, Lloyd's Pest Control and Trish.

It really took care of the ants and prevented them from entering or coming near the inside of our house. When we installed a whole house fan, we found evidence of rodents. We had also planned to add attic insulation, but wanted our home pest control service to inspect the attic and quote on the clean-up. We have used Joshua's Pest Control for years and love their extraordinary customer service culture. They told us they recently added insulation services in addition to pest control. Their quote was in line with the two other quotes we had received, and we went with them because of past experience. They arrived on time, gave us a through explanation of what they were going to do and went to work. They first removed all effected attic insulation and cleaned/sanitized the areas. Then started blowing in the cellulose insulation. In some difficult to reach areas, they had to cut through plywood to completely reach the entire attic area. Btw, the other two companies that quoted said they could not cut through to reach the same areas. Cellulose insulation is messy and these guys did a fantastic job in cleaning everything up, including vacuuming the lawn. Quality culture by hiring and training quality people. No hesitation in recommending this company for either pest control or insulation services.

Be leery of this company?s questionable service billing practices, especially if you are considering allowing generation of Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT?s) to pay for services. EFT?s are often times highly recommended by salesmen hailing them as easy payment alternatives. There is some truth to the claim but because the EFT?s are signed consumer agreement they are binding contracts. Meaning the consumer is exposed to the business ethics of the company he/she is doing business with. Some service providers, e.g. Joshua?s Pest Control leverage their experience with the binding nature of EFT documentation in order to continue providing and, of course billing, for services after the consumer attempts to end the relationship. This is the exact predatory practice I have been experiencing with Joshua?s Pest Control, despite verbal confirmation of service/contract termination. Which at this point appears to have legal precedent to allow for continuing to bill the customer, in this case me, until the customer submits formal documentation to discontinue services. Written documentation to cancel an EFT contract may sound like common sense to some but when given verbal confirmation by a ?manager? you assume they are doing the right thing. Don?t assume anything with these guys and most definitely don?t take their word. In my opinion, these are passive aggressive tactics leveraged spitefully against customers. Customers like me who are negatively effecting the organizations projected bottom line through early termination etc. This is debatably the scenario my wife and I found ourselves in with regard to Joshua?s Pest Control. The back story, I?m an unemployed disabled veteran attempting to start a small sustainable organic farming operation. In late in 2014, I personally informed the service technician attempting to spray convention pesticides etc. at our residence that we would no longer be applying chemicals on-site. Namely because I would be doing small scale cultivation on site and USDA regulations require verification of at least three years devoid of harmful chemical soil applications to acquire organic producer status. Therefore if conventional sprays were applied it would set back my modest plans for Weathers Family Farms considerably. My wife and I contacted management to explain the former and requested services be discontinued after my initial and very cordial encounter with one of the organizations service technicians. Despite our efforts management appears to have knowingly persisted in sending service technicians to our residence. On three separate occasions the aforementioned concerns were explained to intercepted service technicians, which resulted in at six separate phone calls to Joshua?s Pest Control and subsequent conversations with their ?service managers.? Initially we unwittingly continued to accept the organizations acknowledgment of our verbal intent to discontinue services. However in January and February Joshua?s Pest Control continued submitting ETF?s bills to our financial institution for unrequested services. Unfortunately for my small scale farming plans, during April while away from our residence technicians were again dispatched. This time I arrived home just as they were packing up and after the application of pesticides. I did give the on-site technicians a piece of my mind which included several choice words. Which made me feel batter but did nothing to get back the year spent working toward my organic grower certification. Afterward we again called the customer service manager and explained the situation and again the representative/manager seemed condescendingly apologetic. This time I forwarded a certified letter requesting cancellation of services and I also requested my bank block the EFT for January?s bill and any billing from them on a go forward basis. On June 2nd and July 6th Joshua?s Pest Control sent us a bill for uninvited services rendered. We didn?t know they had come to our residence again but it?s possible they came by when we weren?t home. No doubt Joshua?s Pest Control is planning to forward the disputed charges to collections. Which will no doubt further hamper my self-employment/farming initiatives by damaging my credit rating and wasting my time. The moral of the story is customers should carefully consider EFT?s and I would absolutely recommend against doing business with Joshua?s Pest Control. They aren?t registered with the Better Business Bureau and I?m seeking counsel about filing a case for trespassing and related damages.

I was hoping that you can you can tell the tech to not put the service slip anywhere on the door. I want him to up it all the way under the doormat. I don't want my husband to know that I am getting the service again. So if you could call me back and just make sure to leave the slip all the way under the mat hiding under the mat. Thank you and call me at 760-521-7954." Transcripts: "Jenna transferred call to me and [Member Name Removed] said she wanted to SCHED Q when husband wasn't home. She said she wants the service but her husband wants only organic. I set expectations about our non-organic products and she agreed to SCHED Q SAT 1/31 at w/ 30 min call and arrive after 8am." "[Member Name Removed] called in and said that Joy had been trying to get ahold of her. She mentioned having the service some time when her husband's not home. Transferred the call to Joy." The authorized account holder with Joshua's Pest Control is responsible for the account, and in this case [Member Name Removed] authorized us to spray your home. As a token of respect I wrote off the $99 balance on the account, and closed the 12 month contract with no early cancellation fee. You will receive no further bills from Joshua’s Pest Control. We bought this house last year, and the silverfish is insane. Joshua's people come over, sprayed for it on the inside - they told me before hand that I had to leave for 4 hours - and outside. Today (2/6/15) they came for the second spraying outside. They'll be coming every three months - sooner if I ask them to. They're helping me so I can not see those buggers as much!

I have never met a technician from Joshua's that I didn't like, but Leo was very knowledgeable and patient and really listened to my concerns. We have had Joshua's for a long time. Originally my husband hired them many years ago when they were going door to door (breaking our rule of never hiring anyone going door to door), but in this case, we were very happy we hired them. They come once a month, but will always show up for special problems such as this one. In this case, I was finding all my oranges reduced to hollow shells and knew I had a rat problem. I know they will see this one through as they have whenever I have called them.
Description of Work: With no added cost to my regular service, Leo set up rat bait boxes outside, and traps in the basement. Leo was very friendly and patient with someone who hates to kill anything. (Their regular service still kills the ants, but uses a rosemary oil concoction so it is environment friendly)
