Description of Work: I was charged 1,800.00, which included 300 for the initial consultation (which took one hour), the rest as part of a contact for 10 hours at 150 per hour of design services for the remodel of my bathroom. I met with the designer for two hours (billed at 3) at the Stone/tile place, making selections. When the general contractor's rates were 10,000 above my targeted budget, before the project even was started, I sent emails stating for her to stop looking into vanitys, fixtures, etc., until I could assess the contractor fees. A little more than one month from the time we started on this, early stage, I needed to delay the remodel as the estimate came in so high. When I asked for an accounting of hours utilized for 1,500. received, I was told it was all used. Additionally, I ordered a light and arranged to have her contractor install i t for me (separate project) , this was between the contractor and me...she charged me two hours for "checking out the components" on the light fixture during the installation. Essentially, out 1,800 for very little, charges I feel were unjustified.
