JL Stucco

He provided work for me last January of 2015 and by November of 2016 the stucco are starting to bubble up, I called him back and he fixed it but by January 2017 it started to bubble up again. I started to contact him on the beginning of 2018 but he is not responding and leads me to look for another company.

The stucco job on 10/1/2016 was a pretty good match, and everything seemed fine until we started getting heavy rain. The waterproofing that had been done by the window installers was apparently compromised during the subsequent installation of the frame and/or stucco by JL Stucco, leading to severe leaks in two of the three windows. In addition, JL Stucco did not honor my request to provide me with an invoice upon completion of the work (I only have the canceled check as proof), and they have ignored multiple requests to come out and inspect the leaks (March 2017).

He was great. They came out within a couple of days. He told me how much and then did it slightly differently in a way that he said wouldn't cost as much but it just turned out it didn't cost him as much I still owed him as much as the quote. It was more work than $99 would have covered. He repaired stucco and put in the weeping that wasn't there. If he would charge me less I would give him an A. He was done in about half the time he said but he still charged me what he quoted me for two more hours of work. I would use him again. The quality was excellent. I would tell other to get a specific bid.

Jose was punctual and very professional. He was careful not to damage landscaping near the areas he worked on and the end result was a perfect match with the surrounding stucco. Cant's say enough good things about the quality of service and Jose's excellent communication throughout the day.

I enjoyed having Mr. Montano work on my house as he and his helpers were very professional and afterwards, cleaned up after themselves. Neighbors drove by and would stop to comment on the how much better the house was looking.

They did a pretty good job. It is hard to match the color but they did the best they could. They were fine. We schedule the appointment and got right out. They did the job as expected. They showed up and did what I asked. They didn't take very long.

The job, done very carefully and properly required six man hours including preparation, adding a new undercoat of premix cement, letting that dry sufficiently and then mixing the new coatings to properly color match the adjacent wall space and applying the new color coating and letting it set up and dry so that the smooth finish could be completed. There is a required "wait time" between the coatings so that all the material will adhere properly and then the smooth finish is done. I was very happy to write an additional check to cover the extra time needed to do the job.

The job was on time, and on budget. The job site was cleaned and all waste was removed. I was very happy with the work. The neighbors have commented on how good the repairs look.

When I originally met with him he was only going to patch one hole, however he came to do the work earlier than planned when I wasn't home and my husband pointed out about 4 other spots that needed patching..Jose and his helper did a beautiful job all within the realm of angies 2 hour deal. I couldn't be happier. I hope to have him back to do 2 door frames that need stucco when I can afford it. Thank you again Jose!!

It was excellent. They got back to me really quick. There were additional charges. It was $100 extra. They did a very thorough job. He was very conscientious about explaining what he was going to do and why it had been done. They fixed it just fine. I was really pleased with them. They did a great job.

Good repair at a low cost to me

Jose is a real professional. He was punctual and had all the materials he needed for the job. He was neat and clean and picked up all the debris. He also took time to match the stucco color even though I told him we were going to paint the house. I would not hesitate calling him in the future.

The price was a little bit high but apart from that, it was fine. My interactions with them were good. The work turned out very nicely. I was very pleased with the result. The quality was excellent.

They contacted me and asked me for some good dates and I chose today, I have tried to contact them multiple times and they have not contacted me back to confirm appointment.

The two workers arrived around 8:30 am the first day. Jose's partner taped off and layed down plastic around the areas where the stucco was falling off and dug the dirt away from the walls to expose as much of the base as possible. He also wrapped some plants, like the rose bushes, to protect all while the work was being done. Jose used an electric hammer to remove the loose stucco, which included a good portion of the back wall of the big house up around one bedroom window, power washing as he went. His partner went behind, cleaning up the debris. They mixed cement and filled in all the holes, rebuilt the corner of the one house, and set up a new layer all along the base of the walls affected on both houses. Jose had us come out to inspect the work. That took the first day. They returned the second morning and went to work applying a glue base coat, which Jose explained helps the stucco to adhere to the existing surface. He then had to work on color coding the dry stucco mixture, testing it against the existing wall, and adjusting the mixture till he felt he had the right color. I am amazed at how closely it matches. He then mixed in the water and applied it so masterfully that we couldn't tell the difference in the texture from old to new. It just looked like the wall was wet. When the portion around the bedroom window, which had been finished first, was dry, it was tough to tell where old and new met. When the work was done, they removed all the tape and plastic, cleaned up all the debris, packing it out with them. Jose had us inspect one last time. We are very pleased with how fresh and new it all looks. Any time we need stucco work done right, we know who to call. JL Stucco!

He was very nice and pleasant. He understood that I had made a mistake in understand what the deal was for. He did come on time to do his work and wasn't upset with me for my misunderstanding. He didn't even charge me for the trip.

Jose was responsive and scheduled the job quickly but didn't have the right color during his first visit and so we rescheduled for a week later. The quality of his work on the main repair was very good and matched the surrounding stucco.

It was matched perfectly with the rest of the stucco on the house. At the completion of the job they did an excellent job of removing all debris. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them highly.

Jose did a wonderful job, was very courteous and polite. He was meticulous in his work and is a real professional.

JL Stucco arrived to look at the repair and determined that they could do the job right there. Jose got all the materials needed from his truck and removed the patch the plumber did and color coded as best as possible the stucco and made the repair look as good as new. He made sure it was done correctly and explained the process so we would not worry about any water damage from the elements. I am very pleased with the results and would use and recommend them to my family and friends. The appointment was made quickly after I purchased the service so the wait was only about 2 weeks. I mostly communicated by e-mail but did call the day before to confirm the appointment.

The service was for 2 hours of stucco repair for $99. However, the estimate to complete the job was an additional $850 to $1000. That greatly exceeded what I expected and was willing to pay without first getting estimates from other providers. I intend to contact stucco contractors associated with Angie's List for additional estimates.

I purchased this as a Big Deal. Jose responded promptly and we set a date for the repair. He confirmed the appointment a few days in advance. He was on time and went right to work. He explained what may have caused the damage to the stucco. He color matched the existing stucco as close as possible. The repairs look great and I am pleased with the result.
